Wow.... I dont like seeing u lose, but it does provide a sense of realness. The 2nd bluff I would not have gone for with 10-7 but it happens. Nice vlog
On the pocket 6’s hand, the limp under the gun is fine. But when the late position player raises to $16 - weak - I was expecting you to 3 bet to either take the pot heads up or maybe even take it down right there. 3 betting as a semi bluff is a powerful tool to keep in your arsenal from time to time. Even if called, there’s still a lot of ways to win the pot.
Hey Doug, Are you going to go the the WSOPC at the end of September at Thunder Valley? I'll be going and staying in a hotel about 2 minutes from Capitol Casino. Hope to see ya there!
I got KK today too, 3 bet pre and villain calls, J99 rainbow flop, he checks I bet whole pot, villain calls, turn is 10, he checks, I shove, he calls with AQo, 7 outs, I'm 84%, and of course the river is an 8. Been running like this for 2 solid months, can't remember last time I got all in dominating and actually won a hand. Variance is unreal. Happy birthday to Zeus.
I’ve been advised never to slow play sets. Even on a draw heavy board like 789 suited you can always pair the board on the turn or river to overcome flopped or turned straights and flushes
@@StephenDunn-i7l poker can make you doubt everything you think you know. Do everything right and everything goes wrong. Hang in there and keep playing well. It will eventually turn around.
66: Flop raise was not nearly big enough imo. That was definitely a gift. A3ss: 100 is a tiny x-raise. I probably would have just called here because of smallish SPR, but a raise is just fine, I am sure. (I would have bet larger on turn and river.)
Happy birthday Zeus. I dont know if its just me, but it seems like your playing a little looser and more agro lately. This in turn leading to some punty hands. Could be wrong, not trying to be critical, just an observation. Nice vlog as always Doug. Great content.
Hey man, just friendly advice. You're betting too small when you charge draws and second best hands very often. Like $120 into $350 isn't going to do much; it should be $240 instead. You're also playing a predictable range. I played the same stakes semi-professionally years ago and did okay. I understand what you're doing.
@@LinusK500 it could of easily worked but my opponent slowed played a monster and I feel into his trap. I really shouldn’t have gotten involved in the first place.

it seems as if you REALLY ARE on tilt. a rare happening. in this vlog at least, you seem to have let your emotions over-rule both math and EV common sense. not ditching the AJ of diamonds when you KNEW it was correct is one and PLAYING 10/7 off out of position against a ton of players is very "un Doug like". we all go through hybrids of this at times but "hope is not a business plan" applies to life, business and POKER! great and very entertaining vlog though.
Running poorly can definitely make you make some questionable plays. I’m human and am prone to errors. T7 should not have seen the flop, but I don’t mind the play I made in that situation even though it didn’t work. AJ, checking flop is an option, I usually play my first hand fast. Once I got raised, I didn’t like it. Fold was the best, thought it was close enough to gamble 🫣
