Mike. I really appreciate this video. You made my mind up and I ordered my new wheel base this evening. I moved from the 17nm Forte base to the 26nm Invicta base from Asetek.
@@jonneymendoza yeah I'm at about 14. It's good. Another reason I got the Invicta was I figured that if I had the Forte and I got up to 18nm which is the max on the Forte, I didn't want to run it at max nm all the time.
MOZA...the disruptor. That's good for us consumers. We don't need Fanatec or others to get too comfortable. This drives competition, so it has to be a good thing.
I have switched from the accuforce v2 to a Simagic alpha ultimate and it’s super smooth, powerful, and has a lot of detail but I will say I miss the foundation force feedback a little bit. I would like to try irffb but I see so many people talk about it being buggy and has some extra latency. Loving the alpha ultimate so far though. I really love how they keep releasing new wheels like the fx and fx pro
MOZA makes a nice product. I got the R9 and FSR wheel on your recommendation, and haven't looked back. Nice gear! Have you had an issue with missing shifts at all? If so, were you able to fix it?
That’s awesome to hear, Ed. And no, no missed shifts. That’s a bummer to hear. Have you tried upgrading or rolling back your firmware? And BTW, I got your email. I’m working on making a video based on your suggestion
@@SimRacing604 I have not rolled back yet, since MOZA has a new firmware patch. Testing that for now. Fantastic Mike! Looking forward to the video. ACC is getting a bit stale (still love it tho). Need some variety :)
Nice overview Mike.. Looking forward to the future of what these manufacturers produce. So awesome to be able to choose equipment now.. instead of having just 3 to choose from. DMAX
I appreciate the overview. I currently run a logitech G923. I predominantly play ACC and F1 2022. I've been looking at the Moza R9 and the FSR wheel. I have seen many reviews on other 20+ nm wheel bases. But in reality, im really looking at better feel and control over a vehicle in either title. I feel the G923 is missing so much. What do you recommend on your experience? Stick with the R9 or jump up to the R21? Appreciate your time in advance
The wheelbase does look pretty nice, but I don't know if I would want to pay 1300€ for it because there are very similar wheelbases out there for a lower price (like the VRS DFP or the Simagic Alpha Ultimate). Regarding the FFB in ACC, while I agree that the detail is amazing I just can't really feel what the car is actually doing in the corners compared to other sims (at least on my Fanatec CSL Elite)
Simagic needs to get console compatibility as well. Xbox should be easy as they can just sell a steering wheel for all bases with the chip in it like Fanatec does. It would be awesome if Sony weren’t so greedy and allowed the same instead of having to get a compatible base. Hopefully the new Forza gets back to being good as we need a couple of more casual racers sometimes when I don’t feel like being all serious.
- Whoever purchased the Logitech Pro Wheel DD for $1000/11Nm are punching the air right now. - R21 Damn near same price at $1099/21nm vs Logitech Pro Wheel $999/11Nm. - We're now at a point where companies are gonna have to battle for Price/Nm, Customer Service, and Software.

Unfortunately I don’t have experience with either of those, so I can’t share an opinion. With that said, I’d probably stick with the brand you have, and upgrade your Simagic. You’re probably used to the software, and there will be no wheel compatibility issues
the downsides of high torque motor: never going to run even near peak output if wanting to be competitive. i have a dd1 that runs around 20% output at peak. the “fidelity “ argument is quite garbage, tbh
@Ty___ Charles just stating facts and I'm a Fanatec user but I've moved on from their wheels using cube controls wheels on a Fanatec base. There are side mount options. If you go to the website there are accessories you can look at
