Only the Waterline slices cleaner and quieter. And the touring , especially the 31" wide , is so stable that it is incredibly not tireing to paddle distance. It glides bettwer than you think. It does it so effortlessly, you don't realize just how easily it is moving!
It's true, but the board does annoy me in some ways. Poor fin box, no gopro mount, not enough handles or bungie, shoulder strap is poor. Shame really, cos other than that, it is a good board, but not perfect for the money you pay.
@@stevedogwildman2133 I put stick on GoPro mounts on. Do with most of my boards. Never had a problem with them so long as you properly clean the area. I completely agree about handles though. Needs at least a handle either side in front of the board handle. The shoulder strap is a joke, thugh to be fait I haven't seen a single shoulder strap that wasn't.I didn't have anyproblems with the fin box? What's wrong with the bungies?X bungie on the front , single on the back. I always chuck the stock ones any for slightly thicker ones on any board.
@gregjetnikoff7124 mine has no rear bungies. Fin box is so tight, ive sanded down the fin, but you still have to be hercules to get the fin in. I suppose what I'm saying is, you can buy an isup for £3-400 and it has everything. For example, why not have a handle on the front and back as well? If you've loaded up a couple of boards for touring, and there's 2 of you, it would make the thing more handleable getting in and out of the water. Sticking on a GoPro mount is tricky, as there's no flat surface. I just think they spend thousands and thousands designing these boards, but not a second thinking about it.
@gregjetnikoff7124 also, I spend a couple of hundred quid on a paddle and the tight gits want £70 for a paddle bag, so I bought a red one for £30. They take and take.
@@stevedogwildman2133 Yeah, they seemed to have missed what a touring board is for in some ways. You can get a box of GoPro mounts including curved ones. I have put them an all sorts of different boards. They stick so well that I don't bother trying to take them off when I sell a board as it is too much of a pain. Even have 2 on the top front of my One edge pro 2.0, and it is curved AND has a slight ridge on top.
The only things that annoy me are lack of bungees, no GoPro mount and the finbox is tight. I think for the money, Starboard should make everything perfect.
Also, see my "too much rail tape" as I show a clip of me on my board and you can see how well the nose cuts through the water. Trouble is, you never know what you are getting till you actually ride it, and of course never know what other boards are like, so it's all a bit of a punt, but all should be good.
Yes and no. There are many things I'd improve. Lack of bungies, no go pro mount, lack of handles, does catch the wind at times, feels almost too wide at the front, perhaps be better to have more width to the back. It's a good board, a very good board, but if I had the option today, I'd get something else and perhaps second hand.

Thanks for sharing! Ordering a 14x28 Starlite, really excited to see how it compares to my 11ˋ2x32 GO

@@stevedogwildman2133 Yeah I’m going with the Starlite because it has another bungee at the back. Other than that you’re still happy with the board?
Yes, it's stable and smooth. Although "bump" anxiety is something new to me compared to an isup! But that's just me!
One place on the net have a good deal on that one at the mo. I can't remember where, so have a look around.

Do you still use this board and do you recommend it ??
