I had an Indian friend in high school, whom I met when her family just came to U.S. I helped her when she had trouble understanding in class. We became good friends, and her family was so kind. One day I noticed she became very sad and depressed but she wouldn't tell me why. Then suddenly her entire family disappeared, and I learned from another classmate that they got deported back to India. I had no idea and never got a chance to say goodbye. When I entered college, I started searching for her online, and even on Facebook, but never found her. Maybe she was using an alias name while in U.S. I don't know. I prayed for her while watching this news about the church in India. I hope she meets Christians, and becomes a Christ follower, wherever she is.

Iskcon does pretty well converting Christians. Last year we converted 100 families on Christmas (talking about rubbing salt on the wound) and this year we are doing the same. Ghar wapsi is in its infancy but still can reconvert 100 families at a time which Christian missionaries took several years to convert them. Money is the primary reason for conversion among the tribals rather than Jesus itself, even with all the tools missionaries couldn't convert at their bad years during extreme poverty. So far the reconversation process is going well and will do even better in the future.

Iskcon does pretty well converting Christians. Last year we converted 100 families on Christmas (talking about rubbing salt on the wound) and this year we are doing the same.
Ghar wapsi is in its infancy but still can reconvert 100 families at a time which Christian missionaries took several years to convert them. Money is the primary reason for conversion among the tribals rather than Jesus itself, even with all the tools missionaries couldn't convert at their bad years during extreme poverty. So far the reconversation process is going well and will do even better in the future.
