Went back to the June 16th 2017 episode where you first toured this barn. The cars actually look better 2 years later! Glad you're able to save some of them.
Hi again Jonathan. What a great haul. Im almost speechless. But not enough to say THANK YOU JONATHAN!!! for allowing us u tubers the privlidge to come along!
Seriously. It was obvious he was exhausted but he took the time to do some "tedious" video-ing which is an effort all on its own. The rescue effort is half the fun, ain't it?
WOW! That's a lot of real solid cars to get your hands on. That's a haul. You are right about Mustie and that VW bus. Man, you are going to be busier than a one armed paper hanger. I'm glad they are being saved and not crushed. That was some fancy pulling and hauling.
3 rescues makes you one of my heroes, no, wait, you were already one my hero list. I'm loving the your choices of cars, and the 50 Chevy would make a pretty cool daily driver.
Uncle had a 48 coupe, that's my favorite outta the bunch. He had an old Sinclair station. Learned more with that man in one week, than most learn in a lifetime. And thats all I got to say about that!
Hi Jonathan. Amazing barn collection! LUCKY DOG! Theres a small fortune in all those cars. Im happy as heck you got most of them. Saved from the scrap yard!! THANK YOU JONATHAN!!! For making these videos! I love em! I live U.P. in Mi. Around here theyre all long gone.
Super Great, 3 videos, i really like that 50 chevrolet, just one worry Jonathan, that was one huge snake skin, and don't over do it and hurt your self or get to hot and get sick, we, your subscribers, we need you, be careful please, great videos, i appreciate them all.
Jonathan...I can not say enough about your videos. You are a wonder to watch, and to see your knowledge and your heart that cares about these old cars. Wish everyone had your way of thinking about old cars. keep up the great work.
Maaan, you sure work hard for rescuing those great old cars. The more cars you rescue the more great J.W. vids we will see. I love it but please take care of your health! If you're able to buy that Mercedes 180 D I could bet that it would be a really easy cold start. Those OM 636 engines are nearly indestructible. A bit lame and a bit loud of course but extremely fuel economical. New battery/fuel/all filters and oil and it should run. On channel Mercedessource is an older comparison video of Mr. K. Bergsmas own Diesel cars. There you can see and hear his great 180 D running or let's better say "nailing". Looking at that original VW bus Westfalia camper I instantly thought of Mustie1 and... pow... you mentioned him. Maybe 5150mxVW, VWnut or even Marcijunebug is interested also. Although I'm not such a big VW bus fan I definitely would love to own this camper only because it's green inside and outside and a relatively rare automatic. Thanks again for making taping editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health.
That fastback body style is very attractive, and I'm a Ford guy! It's great that you're pulling them out of there, Jon. Hopefully they can be saved and have a new lease of life.
Another classic saved . You sure can find them . Keep up the excellent work Jonathan . Save as many as you can . The mercedes would keep me in my element restoring that beauty. . I would have it as good as new .
Nice ! I wouldn't mind having that old Mercedes ponton either... I had a 61, that looked just like it. Doesnt have the power to pull the hat off your head but you're not gonna believe the mileage it gets !
..saw one of these hauled in to the scrap yard recently...looked like it had been sitting somewhere forever, but it was straight(till the track hoe got hold of it), fairly complete, and not terribly rusty...at 5 cents per pound for scrap vehicles, looks like the owner could have gotten more for it from a collector or parts dealer...unfortunately, some people don't want to bother marketing old vehicles like this, or don't want to haggle with prospective buyers...so they just sell it for scrap instead... :(
Dear@@dyer2cycle Things like this are always happening (even nowadays) and are always sad to hear. This one will be rescued (at least I hope so). Channel Mercedessource has a series with a car just like that. Best regards luck and health.
Dear Nuna Business Maybe you would like to see one in good condition then? Channel Mercedessource has a series just about a car like this (even black).
Also I have to say I love your videos. Please take care of yourself Johnathon you remind me so much of my dad . I know he worked himself to death please don't let this be you my friend
Number 3! I love those fastbacks. You got into a little Let's Dig 18 action with the tree pulling! There are some neat cars there. The Mercedes, the Citroen, the Mustie1 Campmobile, man oh man. What a stash. Thanks!
We had a 50 Chevy business coupe, but I have always liked this body style. It's called a slant back. All GM models had at least one slant back version including Cadillac. That is a very cool car! Great score Jonathan. Regards, Solomon
Keep on Keepin on. Save all the old iron you can, you may never see another opportunity like this one. Sure wish I lived closer, several of those cars I would like to restore. Triumph, Corvair, the MG, you know, the odd ball stuff. LOL Thanks for sharing.
First actual memory I have of riding in a car was in a 4-door version of this that my grandparents had probably mid 50's. Thanks for bringing back a good memory
I'm so glad you're doing something with these gems and keeping them from the crusher! Even if they set at your place for another 50 years hopefully they will be put on the rd again though
WOW! That 50ty Chevy really put up a fight! My cousin has a 50ty Chevy 4 door that's been in the family since new! It's like 98% original and he takes it to car shows.........There's a lot of cars there, I noticed you never mentioned the '60 Falcon Ranchero...Must not be worth anything, like the old Valiant's too. Nobody cars about the econo boxes...My first car was a '61 Falcon, 144c.i. Great on gas, that's it. It couldn't get out of it's own way for nothing....Jonathan, you are really great at getting these old frozen cars out of tight spaces!! Good luck with the 50ty Chev....
Wow what a find Johnathan !! She will be a fantastic car and cant wait to see how you got on with her What a struggle to get her out of that barn well done for your perseverance on getting her and your truck out !
That year/model was my first car. Bought one in 1967 (60,000 miles) for $600. Main bearings went in 1969. I would have swapped or rebuilt but at the time I was 300 miles from home and broke.
Had me wincing almost all the way through. All came out good in the end though. I can't believe you didn't mention the 62 Falcon Ranchero in your walk through tour though. Would love to resto mod that.
Those campmobiles are fun to drive when they are running well. I had a '73. Automatics were not too bad. Engines are prone to dropping valve seats if you timed them for any kind of performance, though. Still ... I'd be interested if you were about 900 mile closer.
My first car ride was in a 1950 Chevrolet. Came home from the hospital in my uncle Zoltan's. Don't forget to clean the whistling tube for the gas tank! Packard had one too. Often forgotten.
Me: I've got errands to run in the morning - time to call it a night! *notification of Jonathan W video* Me again: I've got time for this - it's a Chevy Fastback!
The best part of your video was when you said "I tested my health today, I walked, I ran". Congratulations, you're well down the new road called better health!.
Dear bruce legge Unfortunately I overheard this. So thank you very much for reminding. Very good to hear that JWs health is improving step by step. Soo great that he quit smoking and that he has the discipline not to be addicted to that poisonous nicotine any longer. My deep respect to him. Best regards luck and health.
Love these videos,i had a 1950 pontiac similar to the chevy but mine was not a fastback (my first car)..tough old car almost indestructible considering the way i drove it :)...looking forward to seeing what you do with these amazing old cars ..thanks for sharing!
That one sure made you work for it! Quite the collection of cool old vehicles, enjoyed this video a lot! That Chevy Fast Back is one cool looking ride!
Went to high school with someone who had a 51. We called it the 51 Camaro fast back. Original green color. Rode like a dream. Inline 6 with three in the tree.
We called them “Slug Back Chevys” and were corrected by the “ old guys “ .. it’s a Fast Back son 😎. And a Citron too👍🏼 one of the most comfortable cars I have ever had, 4 speed ,4 banger Hemi 👍🏼👍🏼 great machine .. thank fir taking us along 😎
I love these videos but makes me wish I had more room for these projects. I just rescued a 76 Datsun 280z from a salvage yard but man oh man would I love to have some 1940/50s cars....maybe one of these days.
Hey Jonathan, just letting you know Mustie isn't the only one that watches your videos. I'm a vw guy as well, tho my channel isn't as massive. That bus is definitely a good one in really nice shape. Automatic bus too. Complete interior thats all in tact too. I'd actually be interested in it if its for sale and has a title. I'm in SC. Btw, whoever had that 50 chevy in the 70s was obsessed with orange. even the intake was painted orange! lol
I love it especially because it is gorgeous green inside and outside and an automatic shifter. Maybe even the snake is kinda greenish?! Best regards luck and health.
I like the 50 chevy. they are comfortable riding and pleasant to drive. Like the 3 speed column shift but maybe someone put a truck floor shift transmission in it and that would be nice.
I love barn finds I just picked up a 75 L82 auto Vette that has been sitting in a shed since 93 when the transmission went away gonna be mine and my daughters project car
Looking forward to this projects video. That 70s orange interiors gotta go JW and your just the man to do it. Cant wait...cant wait for the new Studebaker project as well.
Jonathan: I sure am enjoying you pulling the lot of cars. So glad you were able to purchase them. My dad had a 39 Chevy!! It was nice to see this car. Keep up the good work. I learn a lot from watching you. Ronald
I remember that my father was given one of these Chevrolet fastbacks when I was 4 or 5 years old. He also was given another car at the same time. I think they were from his mother and aunt who, due to what we now call Alzheimer's, could no longer drive. I was 4 for most of 1960 so they were about 10 years old then. I liked new cars as a child, but now that Chevy is a beautiful blast from the past. The dash is exactly as I remember it.
I think this is my favorite of all the cars in your recent vids, love the interior and the fastback styling. Mustie1 would have that VW driving out of it's grave in a day, wish he'd come over and do a collab with you getting that thing out.

Love the looks of the older cars.
thanks for takin the time to film the bus but its not worth the time and effort for what it is, but thanks again Jonathan,
I figured that when I noticed it was a 1978
Maaan, you sure work hard for rescuing those great old cars. The more cars you rescue the more great J.W. vids we will see. I love it but please take care of your health!

My first car was a 50 Chevy.. had the rear wheel pants on mine. Best over the road car I ever drove!👌
That fastback body style is very attractive, and I'm a Ford guy! It's great that you're pulling them out of there, Jon. Hopefully they can be saved and have a new lease of life.
I can see lots of potential coming out of that barn find. Thanks for sharing JW. Can't wait to hear of their future.👍😎
Another classic saved . You sure can find them . Keep up the excellent work Jonathan . Save as many as you can . The mercedes would keep me in my element restoring that beauty. . I would have it as good as new .
What positive persistence you have.
Take a rest! Some beauties taken out of there though. Nice fastback.
Nice ! I wouldn't mind having that old Mercedes ponton either... I had a 61, that looked just like it. Doesnt have the power to pull the hat off your head but you're not gonna believe the mileage it gets !
And they ran forever
..saw one of these hauled in to the scrap yard recently...looked like it had been sitting somewhere forever, but it was straight(till the track hoe got hold of it), fairly complete, and not terribly rusty...at 5 cents per pound for scrap vehicles, looks like the owner could have gotten more for it from a collector or parts dealer...unfortunately, some people don't want to bother marketing old vehicles like this, or don't want to haggle with prospective buyers...so they just sell it for scrap instead... :(

Definitely! Only rust can stop them!
Dear Nuna Business
Maybe you would like to see one in good condition then? Channel Mercedessource has a series just about a car like this (even black).
Glad to see you saving some of these classics. I'd like to have the Mustangs, T-Birds and that Falcon.
Also I have to say I love your videos. Please take care of yourself Johnathon you remind me so much of my dad . I know he worked himself to death please don't let this be you my friend
Good job with the rowback...you can tell experience by just watching 👍
Number 3!
I love those fastbacks.
You got into a little Let's Dig 18 action with the tree pulling!
There are some neat cars there. The Mercedes, the Citroen, the Mustie1 Campmobile, man oh man. What a stash.
Thanks!
Need to do every one a favor and weld a chain hook on the top of the tractors loader bucket, unbelievably handy. great videos.
Wow! You hit the sweet spot for barn finds there Mr. Jonathan!
We had a 50 Chevy business coupe, but I have always liked this body style. It's called a slant back. All GM models had at least one slant back version including Cadillac. That is a very cool car! Great score Jonathan. Regards, Solomon

You sure put some work into building these episodes and uploading them all today. Thanks for the hard work!
your viewers are so fortunate, thanks
Great car! They were called torpedo-backs ! I remember riding in my dads about 64 years back.
Welcome to Coldwarmotors southern addition:-)
My Thoughts exactly!
Yes, minus the "Herbal Enhancements" and Classic Darts.
The Fleetline is far too tidy for CWM! It's not even in a field.....
What's Coldwarmotors?
@@Hjerte_Verke It's a top secret UA-cam channel that can only be found by typing in "Cold War Motors" in the You Tube search box.
I'm so glad you're doing something with these gems and keeping them from the crusher! Even if they set at your place for another 50 years hopefully they will be put on the rd again though
The place is full of classic cars amazing

Your a great man for saving these cars
Back when these came out We called Em' ""Inverted Bath Tub's"" I had one of these that was in Super Great Shape in the mid 60's. WISH I STILL HAD IT👍🏻
That year/model was my first car. Bought one in 1967 (60,000 miles) for $600. Main bearings went in 1969. I would have swapped or rebuilt but at the time I was 300 miles from home and broke.
man you really hit the jackpot on these. so cool to see so many majorly unmolested old cars
Had me wincing almost all the way through. All came out good in the end though. I can't believe you didn't mention the 62 Falcon Ranchero in your walk through tour though. Would love to resto mod that.
That's one Hell of a winch system. It's gonna be fun to see what you do with all of that premium metal.
Those campmobiles are fun to drive when they are running well. I had a '73. Automatics were not too bad. Engines are prone to dropping valve seats if you timed them for any kind of performance, though. Still ... I'd be interested if you were about 900 mile closer.
Well, I learn something every day! Today I learned what a Snatch Block is. I thought it was some kind of chastity belt.
Lol. I guess it could be. That's good.😎
Wrong kind of snatch hahaha!
Crazy shit.
That would block the snatch for sure, hope ya don't lose the key, NO snatch for you tonight. Pull it your self.
My first car ride was in a 1950 Chevrolet. Came home from the hospital in my uncle Zoltan's. Don't forget to clean the whistling tube for the gas tank! Packard had one too. Often forgotten.
love this car, I had this model only a 52 back in the 70s. sure miss it. hope you do something with this.
Quite the selection of cars there!! I’m glad you’re saving some of them! Take care
Gotta be in heaven 3 videos in one day, that's just too cool.thanks Jonathan.
Nice! Be great to give the Corvairs a home, lots of nice build material. The first convertible looked pretty decent and the Monza is worthy!

That VW bus is a Westfalia camper. Very desirable. Would love to have it! I had an orange one many years ago. Rebuilt the engine on my kitchen table.
I love it especially because it is gorgeous green inside and outside and an automatic shifter. Maybe even the snake is kinda greenish?!

Ah, Now that is SWEET !! great find and save Jonathan .. ENJOYED

Gotta love those old mid-century Chevy fastbacks.
The design of this car is really nice. There are a bunch of nice ones at that property
What a treat 3 videos in one day
I love old cars and other antics things
So well done and thank you very much for uploading such a nice vedio.
Bye bye

Love the callout for Mustie!
Me too, Sir.
I think this is my favorite of all the cars in your recent vids, love the interior and the fastback styling. Mustie1 would have that VW driving out of it's grave in a day, wish he'd come over and do a collab with you getting that thing out.
Wowwwwww amazing design! Antiques worth millions dollars!
