Offroading and truck camping in my Toyota Tacoma at Abraham Lake

Wanted to checkout Abraham Lake during fall this year to see what it's like. Figured it wouldn't be too busy this late in the season. We were supposed to do a helicopter tour but the weather wasn't cooperating so we had to postpone.
Spent a lot of time offroading in an effort to find the ideal spot with trees, privacy, a view, and some shelter from the intense wind.
Tried out a dehydrated meal (pad thai), and it was really good, I'd get it again. Also tried out some color changing packets for the fire.

This is news to me, I was always under the impression deadfall was fair game. We've never had any Rangers make a stink about it either. It's actually good to clear dead fall to mitigate forest fires from spreading to my knowledge.
