President Droupadi Murmu marks her first visit to New Parliament Building

- President Droupadi Murmu departed from Rashtrapati Bhavan for the Parliament building. The Budget Session will begin with her address to the joint sitting of both Houses. This will be her first address in the new Parliament building. The last session before Lok Sabha polls expected to be held in April-May this year is to provide a total of eight sittings spread over a period of 10 days. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget on February 1.

I think Indian people themselves are so much shaped by British era structures that a sudden change may come as shock to most people. Important thing is decolonization process should continue uninterrupted and hopefully does not get halted mid way !

No. Do some research. However if at all we have anything from British. Then its west minister style parliament system
indian lancers were there before, if you look at the mounts and other uniform symbols they are actually a mixture of pre colonial Indian, French and British practices.
Everything very British and colonial.. the uniforms of the guards with epaulets and caps, the open carriage, the bands and flutes, and so many other things, even the fan fare..all British. But still they ask for compensation🤣🤣
