Enjoyed it. But we don't need to hear your mistakes and backing up to repeat it correctly. You can edit them out you know? Doesn't have to be like a live broadcast.
Yes, I agree with many of the comments…you are clearly a well-educated woman. Write the best script that you can, then practice, practice, practice your rendition until it is flawless. Don’t be nervous-add some nuance and more life to your reading of the script. You’re telling us a story, so your voice has to captivate us, thus it cannot be so monotone. And edit out all your mistakes, please. The failure to edit out your mistakes is simply unprofessional, and it is clear to me that you are better than that. I don’t want to be a killjoy, and I want to see sisters succeed on UA-cam. However, your presentation needs LOTS of polish. Please com back when you have polished it and it would be excellent to hear this story re-recorded again without all the missteps and with more nuance and intonation. Make this story fascinating because of HOW you tell it. Best wishes!
But what happened to the building of the Academy of Music? I know the Met is now Lincoln Center. And yes practice reading your script before you hit the record button please!
There are two “Mets” The metropolitan opera house, and the metropolitan museum of art, both in nyc, but it’s the museum who hosts The Met Gala to celebrate fashion at its Costume Institute
@@RyanTalksAndEats yes, thanks. I meant to comment on the fashion show and who attends.. Gladys’ gown looks similar to an outfit that someone wore a year ago or so!
sorry but what would you know about this era? your comment lacks manners. there’s nothing wrong with this video. you can clearly understand what they’re saying 😊
She's just a weak reader. It's like she's reading the material for the first time. But really I think her text is too small on her screen not allowing for a natural flow. The grammar was fine. That's all semantics. But the diction and cadence of speech needs some work and that comes with time. Next year, her videos will be even better and so on. And so forth each year that she puts effort into learning the skill. Try to be a little more uplifting with your criticism. It's o k to have productive feedback. But it's preferable that you're kind when giving it. Public speaking skills do not come to everybody and talking to a microphone is awkward.
@@aftersexhighfives First of all if you read the first part of my comment I enjoyed the video. Second as a person who also is involved in public demonstrated video editing and design with commentary, I’m always enlightened by constructive criticism and grow from it. And this is to be expected when showing such content publicly. Nothing I said was hurtful and was factual. Plain and simple. And with said constructive criticism I’m sure she will improve. Who wouldn’t want to know what their audience thinks it’s the whole purpose. And coming from an education of video editing and design literally the whole end product of each project is constructively critiqued by peers.
@@user-eq8rz1mh2h this isn’t kindergarten and a hurt feelings group. My comment is a perfect example of constructive peer/audience critique. Again I enjoyed her video but factually everything I brought to attention is indeed in need of improvement which I’m sure she can accomplish. It’s plain and simple. You know better you do better. The only feelings hurt seem to be yours which is weird in itself and a projection. And honestly if I wanted to improve my skills I would expect some form of criticism to be in the mix but constructive. If I sounded like that video, damn straight I would appreciate the person saying “hey can I recommend this” rather than someone handing out gold stickers to everyone disregarding the natural comparison and competition that we all need to upgrade ourselves to for improvement and desired outcome. Which hers is probably better reach and views. Case closed.
Please practice and edit your text. To hear you stumble over and over is terribly difficult to listen to. It could be so great if you will take the time you need to perfect your commentary (which is totally interesting and fun.)
You totally got me as a subscriber, just because you don't talk down to your viewers, you're talking to them. You made listening to history less dull than supposedly "educated" people who have zero personality or the warmth of a stone in Siberia.
All kinds of irritating narration mistakes.

I agree
Thanks for the tips!
You don’t need to watch it if it bothers you. Do your own damn videos, stop whining about others!!
@@amandamoodsI enjoyed this and I am interested in more videos.
I enjoyed the video, interesting graphics - would it help to read out the text in smaller chunks and edit it together?

This is how you help young people succeed! Amanda is bright and well on her way.

It burned down
You need an editor
You not ready for prime time.
Just subscribed! I look forward to watching you grow this channel!
You should try to edit your narration. Choppy and hard to listen too. Information accurate and interesting.
The Met is still the crème de la creme, and tickets to the gala are astronomically expensive

I enjoy this video, but the grammar, pronunciation, and dictation undermine the authenticity of the era it depicts.
💯

You might want to write a script and a dialogue for this person.
Great script! Looking forward to more gilded age content!
Pity about the word salad, incorrect use of words and lack of conversational punctuation make this clip execrable to watch and hear.
The typed narration is hysterically inaccurate.
what about Black Elites opera house?

Girl! You can’t be serious with this narration. Use AI next time bec this was a hot mess.
