@@drsuneeldhand Hi.
I sometimes, recall meeting you, on the street in Boston, with my Son, we were on holiday there, a long weekend, in I think 2018....
Would love to know your Indian spices you use in your tea. Sounds delicious.
Thank You ✨🙏✨
@@drsuneeldhand A pleasure.
1) Walk 2) Learn something new 3) Protein intake 4) Antioxidants 5) Balance exercises 6) Social Intercourse 7) Strength training 8) Get off the meds 9) Vitamin D 10) Understand the failure of Healthcare.
Social intercourse??? are you sure??
Yes. It's correctly stated. It means to maintain meaningful social relationship with family, friends and the community.@@hilda-k4x
1. Walk, 2. Learn something new, 3. Eat enough protein, 4. Antioxidants, 5. Balance exercises, 6. Social connections, 7. Strength training, 8. De-escalate medications, 9. Vitamin D, 10. Understand Healthcare. Fantastic list! Thank you, Dr. Dhand!
I'm 70, my husband is 73. Neither one of us take any prescription drugs, and never will!
I just say no to drugs
My father took medications since 10 yrs fr heart related & diabetes..
Dead in 10 yrs
It’s like having a free online doctor every time you post something ❤️🙏
What's disheartening is every other commercial on TV is for some type of drug. It's sickening.
Advertising drugs needs to be banned, like it was a couple of decades ago.
TV?? 😂
You got that right!
I hope DJT or JFK Jr stops the ads on tv.
One of my 10 point health checklist…no tv (5 years now). 75 yo and husband is 78. We quit the sick care system and take no medications. We are quite active as we care for our disabled child, garden, keep chickens and fostered dogs until recently. We still have three.😊 We eat clean, nothing fancy and no processed foods. Take a few supplements including vitamin D. Stay alert and informed. You are one my favorite UA-cam Drs.👍🏻 along with Dr John Campbell. I paint for relaxation and my husband enjoys reading and being outdoors. We live in gratitude and have strong faith. Thank you and God bless.
I’m 74, lost 180 pounds, reversed my A1C from 8 to 5, left blood pressure meds behind after 9 years. I’m in the gym 5 days a week and eat only 2 meals a day, low carb.
Outstanding
🎯🎯🎯👍
Awesome 👌 👏 👍
Compliments !!!!🎉
Respect to you for telling the truth thank you 💯
We need more doctors like Dr. Dhand. Thank you for caring and teaching us.!!!!!!
Hoping to see RFK Jr. bringing you on board.❤
Social dancing is so good for your mental, physical and emotional health...listen to the old songs you love❤
Yes, it is! Thanks for watching
I weaned myself off of 5 addictive medicines. I am just at 65. The meds made me feel worse insurance was wasted. I am no longer dizzy, brain fogged, and have not fallen down on concrete since! I just turned 65 a few days ago. Even though disabled physically I am coping. I lost my chiropractor's care because she won't receive insurance for payment anymore due to lack of them paying. It was way better help than ANY medicines, but I cannot financially afford to go back.😮 I am presently trying to do everything on your list of 10! Very good advice for those 65+ who need to comply! Thanks for a great video!😊
Well done.
Maybe speak to your old doc ?
Ours is local and works with a cash discount 🤷🏿♂️
Dancing is a wonderful form of exercise! Crank up your favorite music and dance like no one is watching. If they are watching, who cares :-).
I went to a doctor and the first thing he did was pump my details into his computer and it printed out what age I was predicted to die at. Never went back.
Typical, disgusting, notice no physical exam performed as in 50s thru 90s.
Just wow!
Yikes! Run!
How wonderful that the doctor told you when you were going to die. How encouraging! Sarcasm off.
😮
Also, stretch. Flexibility goes a long way to avoiding injury. Plus, it feels good 😊
Your videos are great! Thank you so much!
This getting older thing isn't fun. I'm 67. But in my head I'm still 20. How did this happen 😂. I can't walk in the Florida heat so I go to a pool at the gym. As for learning new things I'm trying but I feel a lot of resistance for some reason.
I will be 67 next month, never any meds, gym 5 to 6 days a week, sauna 5 days a week, I can do more now then I did at 18, Diet, just meat, fish, chicken, eggs, nuts, not much fruit, no SUGAR products.
Keep Going!
Yes!
Yep...! 🙂👍👍 -70SomethingGuy
I gave up on doctors 10 years ago eat keto and walk a lot. Doctors never did as much for me. At 68 I don't need them and take no meds.
I got off all my meds about a month ago. I haven’t felt better in years even though I have a couple of diseases.
Thank you so much Dr.... Keep it coming...
Wow hoo! I get an A.
Fortunately I figured out when I was a child that there were factors in society out to make me weak, feeble, sick, and stupid, not to mention encouraging a poor body image where I look in the mirror and see 'what I lack", so I buy some product or other, so I set about forming habits to defy all this. Now I'm 76, take zero medications, and am free of the notion that "I can't because I'm ooooold." I do what I do, and I stay out of the system as much as possible.
I'm 73, my husband passed last February and I'm just beginning to really focus on my well being and health. I'm feeling so much better and excited to feel my younger self again. Thanks for encouragement. Jesus loves us & wants us knowledgeable and wise ❤
My best to you, keep going!
😂
@@jesusissonshine wow , that is so great ! Yes , Jesus never leaves us or forsake us. With Him all things are possible !
Im also 73,still ride my harley,tend bar 3 x a month,no meds,lots of meat,bacon ,home grown eggs,yogurt,plus d3,20 to 30k a day with salt potassium, magnesium, zinc and i have horses that need deworming 4x a year,along w NAC,havent been sick since 2018! No dr,no mandates!!🎉
Sounds like a good plan, I am 68 now and do feel my legs are getting a bit weak, so I was planning to get myself + my partner to adopt some sort of health plan but I wasn't sure what to do...
Now you have given me a plan, and we already do a lot of what you suggest, but the balance exercises, learning a new skill or hobby, and mixing with people are 3 I will definitely add to our fitness plan.
Thank you for the video ❤
Thank you for your guidance on our health as we age....very grateful for you, sir.
Great information, thanks. I’ve just started my MSc in Neuroscience at Warwick University UK. I’m 68 😊
That is amazing!
Many medicare insurance supplement and advantage policies include free gym membership -- I mean totally free. Call your insurance carrier to find out. Lots of seniors just like me there all the time. Go seniors!!!!
I started taking piano lessons at 62. Hats played since 2nd grade.😊 It’s been very challenging and good for my brain.
I don't take any medications, and I'll be 74 in May. 😃 I've been on D3 for a long time. Doctors don't even tell their patient to take D3.
I don’t take any medications, and I’m 104. Stopped taking meds at 62. Go to the gym every day with my walker, grow my own organic garden, dance, hike, run marathons, swim a mile every other day, and still write books. Oh, and I also knit sweaters every month, and sell them to non-profit Africa charity organizations.
@@AureliePoulainWow! That's amazing! You're a legend! 🎉
Super 🎯🎯🎯👌😁
I'm 71 and in great shape - I tick all your boxes & take no meds! Anyway I wanted to add, a great anti-oxidant is dark chocolate. I pay attention to what Centenarians say they eat and I often hear: dark chocolate daily. So I make a fantastic cake which is a mixture of organic dark chocolate, mashed bananas and apple sauce. A lot of UA-camrs demonstrate how to make this. I mash up 3 bananas with a cup of apple sauce till very smooth (you can use a hand blender or beater if you like) then mix in about 10 oz of melted chocolate (more or less depending on how firm you like your cake). Then you just pour it into a pan or caserole dish. No cooking required, in a few minutes it turns itself into mouse type cake and is insanely good. And this is basically a whole food; no flour, tapioca, corn starch or any of those garbage fillers.
I'm 69 today! The Beatles! I never saw them. I saw the Rolling Stones in 65 when I was 9 though! So far dodging the medical industrial complex beautifully. Seems to me once you're on their pathway of drugs to counteract side effects of other drugs then it's not looking good.
I saw Frank Sinatra back in the day, and wasn’t on any meds then.
@@StephenMerchant-up8sg Happy Birthday !
Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳
Wish U a wonderful
B Day 🎯🎯🎯👌👍
Happy Birthday! I saw the Stones at Winterland in SF in 71!
Most things that get older need more nurturing and tlc. None more so than our bodies. We're both nearly 69 and fortunately in excellent health, on zero meds and fit for our age. It never ceases to amaze me how so many people, many much younger seem to accept the preventable poor health they're in. Of course, we can't guarantee things won't go wrong but we can do our best to prevent it.
Excellent video! Thankfully I checked off each box. I am 68 and have played pickleball 5 days a week for the past 18 months and balance is the name of the game! I have a vibration plate that I use 4-5 days a week and lift my weights while on the plate. No meds but supplements, vitamin D, of course and also chia seeds, flax seeds and nutritional yeast. If everyone would follow your advice, they would be so much healthier and feel good every morning when they wake up. Thank you for your excellent videos, Dr. Dhand!
I am a 70 year old female. I am very healthy and take no medications. I have been on the carnivore diet for 3 years which has cured my chronic IBS. I lift heavy weights several times per week.
how many meals a day ?
@Amanda_downunder I try for two meals (intermittent fasting) but sometimes eat a small third one because I cannot eat enough at the other two without stuffing myself. The third one also seems to help me sleep better. I am very lean so weight is not an issue.
Yeah, you're my girl! Go granny Go!!!
Excellent advice!!❤
Great info learning should never have an age limit…it truly does keep us young…just learned how to make my own raw milk yogurt with fresh blueberries as well as milling my own bread from grains for all of our family and a friend to help with her sugar levels amazing the vitamins and minerals in breads sitting on the grocery store shelves that are non existent goals to eat healthy and get most nutrition from foods…bless you for sharing and caring…not on any drugs the lord is good…❤
Great advice! Thank you!❤❤
Just a note that may interest you as a bit of data. Having suffered a stroke affecting my right hand side of my body and to a lesser extent my left side , I was doing sit ups , up to 60. Problem here was I can't always feel when I may be pushing it too far and something snaps. Then I feel it . Keep up the good work , hope you find this data useful or even just interesting.
My diet is mostly organ meats...kidneys, livers, hearts, brains, lungs...I grow my own vegetables to go with it. Organ meats are the most nutritious. I try to be very active all of the time.
"When I get older losing my hair."....I feel better already just singing that song ! 😊 May I suggest travel to new and unknown places perhaps internationally.
I wish they would have stopped before they got to the horrible song “Imagine “ I would love if I never heard that song ever again.
The song That’s The Kind Of Mood I’m In by Patty Loveless. “Let’s Go somewhere, no where we’ve heard of”
The large number of meds isn't new. I'm over 70 but when I was about 12 I had an Aunt that had at least 20 different scripts. She had calm down pills, pickup pills, pills, pills . . . Lined up they spanned across and entire chest of drawers top.
My late wife had so many pills that I filled the box at city hall with her unused meds after she had died. She also took so many kinds of insulin that she filled half of our refrigerator with insulin.
Thank you very much for sharing very important Health care knowledge
Love drinking tea
Great info like usual thank you so much
Thank you Doctor, for the important informations.
A wonderful video. Many thanks❤
But what about pure WATER every now and then.
I suppose it' s important also?
You have great info, fix the problem instead of putting a bandaid on it!
My daughter-in-law keeps chickens so fresh eggs are regularly on our table!
I feel so blessed, at 70 after 5 years of eating PHD, mostly carnivore. No pills (anymore), no pains, good skin, active and strong as I was 20. It's horrible to see how my peers are sick on all fronts and how easy (and cheap) it is to avoid this.
Very good!!! How to find a dr like you? One who will figure out the issue, not medicate it🙏
What about a husband and wife being sexually active during the course of their lives together after 65?
Great info. I'm 67 and I take only one med and have taken that since I was 31, levothyroxine. I recently learned film editing for my UA-cam channel. I see you have too. It's hard! I'm using Davinci Resolve and I could feel my brain working while I was learning.
Thanks Doctor! Great tips!
My pleasure, happy to help!
We need your tea recipe.
Yes!
Excellent topic. Thank you for your excellent information and for caring about the seniors in our Country. You are amazing!
I am 71. Studying French gives my brain a good workout! And I still work!
That's great , at 71 also , I am living a healthy , active and joyful life .
Fight Fight Fight!
Carnivore menu Baby!
I play online scrabble every day, keeps my mind sharp. I also eat no sugar.
Great video, Doc!👍
Stellar tips and advice as always!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Dr Dhand!!!
Thanks Doc. Aussie Bob
I'm in Aus too !
@ hi
Intermittent fasting , walking 3 miles daily , Tri- berries , joghurt , honey , seeds for breakfast . 2 Brazilnuts and 2 pieces of 85% chocolate per day and most of all ; time for solitude with God every day .
At 71 , I am living my best life yet.
Please check type of chocolate for lead contamination
Great report ❤
It's the luck of the Draw , like some can do very little in the way of exercise and look like they workout everyday, others like myself and many others can exercise daily and in the end, very little of your hard work is shown . I know a lot of people in their late 70s and 80s some look so fit and don't do much to stay that way and never have in their entire lives, genetics most obviously.
Would love if more education to PREVENT auto-immune disease was happening.
Thanks Doc. This is so easy follow and add to my every day life. Knowledge is power! Very helpful indeed.
Thnxs doc❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Excellent
Great advice doctor! And I pretty much tick your boxes. No meds. Magnesium and Vitamin D is all I take. Resistance training 4-5 times a week. Diet is protein and fat heavy with low GI carbs. BMI 20.7 Body Fat 13% (Dexa), BP 115/70 (today). Resting pulse 50. High cholesterol but…pfffffftttt…
(66 year old).
Thank you great advice!
I concur. We also need to focus on prebiotics. Apples, flax seed, and asparagus. Probiotics tend to release enzymes which make you want to eat. Another great video, Dr.Dhand.
Recently, bought an inversion table.
I had one years ago but being on blood thinner I had to give it up since there's a risk of brain bleeds.
You speak logic and commonsense doctor, often lacking in much of the medical world today. One of your latter comments, ‘we know our own body better than anyone else’ yes we do! I have danced all my life, music plays I dance, in the kitchen, doing housework, that’s my exercise. Eat varied meals, cook from scratch, no arthritis, major cancer survivor, I give thanks for that. Each day is a bonus, I make the most of it.
Can you share your tea “recipe”? 😊 I’d like to try it.
Totally agree. Small changes add to big differences in over all well being.
You are so right, Dr. Suneel. I think you are such a remarkable and I inspirational Doctor. I am a senior lady. Last year in January I was walking along a long road. It was raining and dark whereupon I fell onto a metal spiked road sign. Which was lying on path. I was hospitalised and they said I had a brain aneurysm. I am not on medication. I only want to ask is can you explain what exercise can I do please. I was told only to walk. I always exercised regularly. My son is a karate instructor and always encourage me. I was advised no exercise but walk.Honestly I do not know what is best.I agree with all of this list. Kindest regards from north east England.
Appreciate your very kind words!
He never answered your question@@drsuneeldhand
Thank you
Thank you Dr.!
My mum died 102.they couldnt believe all we both took was ACE selenium capsule and probiotic plus multi vit. Docs couldnt believe it .❤
Great tips for us older folk! I would add things to stay away from like Fluoride, aluminum (think alzheimer's and dementia from pots, cosmetics, vaccines), unfiltered water, unfiltered air, pesticides in foods (glyphosate is a biggie) dirty light, like fluorescent bulbs and some LED's, RF energy from wifi and cellphones (messes up voltage gated ion channels) and anything you might feel suspect about. BTW, I'm 65 and run, bike, hike, lift weights, eat organic (mostly plant based, but some fish, eggs and occasional chicken) take about 15 different supplements and try to laugh a lot.
I filter my water trough a zerowater filter. It is delicious and worth the cost.
Thank you!
Please give us options for protein powders. I know I need more.
Avoid the ones bulked out with starches like maltodextrin in them.
Don't waste your money! Eat meat!
I just turned 75 and was very active until I was diagnosed with scoliosis two years ago. Everything has changed but I do as much as I can. I have an S curve and lost 3 inches in height
61 and disabled with fibromyalgia and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. I've always been an outdoor gal. Been doing regular weekly yoga for 14 years. What's your view on yoga? Used to be on 15 meds in my 40s ... on 3 now. Vitamin D levels were 65 last year.
Carnivore cured my fibromyalgia and arthritis, along with A Fib and many other problems. I now run and rock climb daily at 68.
It's certainly hard when you have a chronic condition. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - I used to be out walking every day and also did some stretches and weight bearing exercises daily until this condition descended upon me. Now I'm mostly bed bound. If I try to push myself with anything, I crash into an even worse state. It sounds like you're doing well with your exercise. All the best!
so true, el natural, dr...
Thank you.
I have kidney disease, can I take your vitamins? Plus I’m diabetic again can I take your vitamins? I enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing each one. Thank you for your support and take the time to share your thoughts and ideas about what we should be doing. 🙏🇺🇸❤️
Well, I didn't have tea or coffee, I had a glass of wine. But it was red wine...good for the heart😊
Good content - just a question: why not make it simple and say “walk 4-5 miles” instead of confusing viewers with “lost arch” esoteric words like “10,000 steps” ?
Used to walk kms daily, now bad knee, hip and back.
Can't walk far anymore.
I'm dead soon.
Don’t give up. Please consider isometric exercises.
66 no meds just started experiencing nosebleed on 1 side ENT did cauterization both my home and business VERY DRY air/hear
I started ghee 2 drops 2 to 3 times in nasal cavalry the moisture is very good now drinking more water not sure but have heard vitamin K any videos on that ? Ty
De-escalation doctors = re- education of doctors.
I strongly believe that Making America Healthy Again can be achieved through the following approaches: (1) Medical School curricula should emphasize prevention via maintaining positive lifestyle choices (nutrition, hydration, exercise, sleep, etc.) and make functional medicine (finding and treating the root cause of a health issue before turning to drugs that do not cure but simply mask symptoms and often have detrimental side effects) a priority over medication; (2) start educating our littlest students, their teachers and staff, parents and the school lunch providers on the importance of eating whole foods as opposed to ultra-priceseed foods; (3) provide healthy food In schools, nursing homes & assisted living facilities, hospitals and prisons.
After 50 years of entering grocery stores stocked with boxes and cartons and bags with bar codes, the contents of which were designed in a lab and made in a factory, prople have got the mindset of dumping anything into thrir body. There's no connection between the dumpling and well-being. If you spent $50,000 on a new SUV, would you dump Kool Aid and gravel into the gas tank? Our minds have become twisted and warped by our society wide acceptance of processed food
One thing that disables elderly is knee/hip arthritis. Natural treatments will keep them out of nursing homes. I am aware of PRP, but I am sure there are many others as well. At some point, Hip/Knee requires something manual to be done (for most) Surgery is the worst treatment (in my opinion). I don't need social connections, I have a dog. All the preventative modalities help on multiple levels, but the body parts do wear out.

How do you find a de-escalation Dr.?
Suddenly people over 65 are apparently magically supposed to disintegrate.
