Looking through the lot, I definitely prefer this style to some of your older ones. The text as a part of the scene gives it a nice edge. And the single picture, instead of three overlapping ones, makes it nicer to look at.
I feel as though the three overlapping image style could work better for equipment showcases rather than gameplay or QoL. Sort of like a display window at a clothing store where there is good chance at least one item will draw the interest of people scrolling through.
I think what you’re doing works well. Mostly you’ve got a single character in thumbnail when it’s about the dragonborn. Then multiple people when it’s about a group, or the wider world. Doing gangbusters man, I wouldn’t change a thing if I were you.
The latest thumbnail, with 'Skyrim Mods' in the lower left corner, is really good. People generally like to click on faces, so having thumbnails with the character facing the screen rather than looking away will probably do better.
One quick note about Immersive Equipment Displays. During my gameplay with it I've noticed quite a lot of script lag coming along with it, especially on a heavily modded walkthrough. The framework tracks every NPCs equipment in the game and loads it upon the players arrival. Depending on your mod list, this mod can make the game unplayable in the long term so in return i suggest highly people use Visible Favoured Gear as an alternative. I've been using it ever since LE and it utilizes the same framework with the exception that it works only for the player.
I've known about these mods for a while, but this finally convinced me to use a lot of them. Redshift always shows off the best mods too. I'd heard of the lock variation mod before, but the addons are new to me, and make things so much cooler, and of course more *immersive*.
I just recently switched from LE to SE. Security Overhaul is amazing! I can't start a new playthrough without it. Samuelga's mods are very interesting, and I will surely check those out. Awesome vid. Keep up the work!
probably the best skyrim mod showcaser out there! clear and concise. btw, mind if I ask, what mods are you using for the animations, smoother walking/jumping etc? your game feels so much cleaner with them and I can't ever find those mods lol
Personally I’m always in first person, so aside from the occasional “how cool do I look in my steel armor” or the “how lame do I look in my anything other than iron steel or ebony” I don’t care if my model is unloaded. Oh but for the npcs around me… yeah I dig it.
I found one of your videos a few days ago and really enjoyed it. And because of the UA-cam algorithm, your other videos now show up in my video lists. . . . . and I sure am glad that they do! And to make sure that they do, I've just subscribed. So, what do I like about your videos? Well, even though I've been modding Skyrim for a few years now, you have introduced me to quite a few mods that I either didn't know about or have just plain overlooked. Also, your explanations of how to use the mods are very clear. I have been using Immersive Equipment Display for some time now, and didn't pick up on the different ways to change what is displayed until watching your explanation. Your video work is excellent, and you are gifted with an ability to give very clear explanations of these mods. Also, you don't rush your voice, but use a very good pacing for speaking. And last, this one may sound odd, but I like the way your game looks in your videos. No weird and unnatural looking characters, good lighting, and natural looking graphics. Thank you for the work you put into these videos. And I hope you will continue to enjoy doing them for some time, so that I can continue to enjoy watching them!
Sounds cool with the books. I was using Jaxon's positioner to take the books which isnt for everyone since the temptation to cheat for some people could ge too high since can hit one of the numberpas buttons to dupe an item and I think you can bypass stealing. I am not tempted and love the mod.
i really like this channel. while i can’t use half the mods due to console limitations but it’s really nice to see these kinds of things. also i gotta ask, what clothes was she wearing here 4:46 ?
Never seen your content before but I'm already very impressed just a couple of minutes in, great work! Will you possibly be making Starfield content in the future?
Love your showcases, great stuff as always. Wanted to ask, what mod adds the bound weapon that you summoned when showcasing Don't Sheathe Bound Weapons? Been looking around for replacers or additions since I don't like the vanilla daedric look
Is there possibly a mod that shows what mod the item is from, I constantly struggle with knowing what is from different mods I download, for example, spells the spells are the hardest thing to find. When you look for a specific spell from a specific mod, you just can't figure it out.
Is Better Third Person Selection play smoothly & stable without issues in your game? Or is it a bit (or even very) buggy instead? I truly want to use it, but I'm concerned with the amount of issues reported in both the bugs section & the posts section of its mod page
Quality of life mods are rare on the playstation version of Skyrim. And if they do work they are no where near what the original mod is. For example the lantern mod. Sony is so lame that you can't use custom scripts and that means you can't even see the lantern and the area around you lights up like you're holding a torch. Not very immersive. I wouldn't be surprised though that it doesn't change anything. But if Sony continues to be an a-hole about this I will go back to Xbox for the next gen.
quick question, sorry i'm new in modding. For some of these mod, i find out that you need other " mod recquirement ", and sometimes it just keep going on and on. like you want this mod ? dwl this one first. and for this one you just dwl ? you need those two first ect.. do you guys just dwl every single one of these mod recquirement ? like 1 by 1 ? ( sry for eng. not my native lang. here :D ) y'all have a great day :) !
still undecided on what thumbnail style i should use. any thoughts? preferences? www.youtube.com/@redshift1/videos

my favorite IED preset (totally not biased in any way lol) Awesome video redshift!
Awesome video! btw this 4:40 horse running animation looks so smooth for Skyrim standards, it doesn't even look like Skyrim, it's so clean.
That lock one would piss me off… I’m too used to using the cracks/creases in the lock to keep track of where the sweet spot is.
Use remember lock location then. It’s what I do :3

Do these mods work for Skyrim se?
i hear that ds2 in the back absolutely lovely great video
For those who play with a controller, there's a mod like read-or-take that works on whether you have your weapon out or not.
im definitely coming back to this video when im about to mod my skyrim
Been watching a lot of mod videos, I appreciate you bringing some gems I haven't seen before.
Just keep putting out the bangers man! Your videos are a breath of fresh air for Skyrim modding.
Your videos are so good that I've watched a single one and downloaded Skyrim in a heartbeat after not playing in over two years. Thanks!
Its funny how not having skimpy outfits is considered a rarity lol, love you're vids man, they remind me of what I loved about Skyrim modding.
I don't know how you manage to find all the best mods, but these are going to help me so much. Thank you!
probably the best skyrim mod showcaser out there! clear and concise.

the walking is pristine vanilla movement and the jumping is from jump behaviour overhaul
I love the lock mod. It's the little things, Todd!
Plus, Majula theme 🙂
the ds2 soundtrack is giving me nostalgia
Oh my god thank you so much, I had no idea how to use the immersive mod menu. Game changer

I love how concise your videos are, you can fit a bunch of mods in a good amount of time. Definitely subbing.
Officially added this video to my Skyrim playlist so I can ensure to grab these the next time I play… again. Lol

Scrub clothes from the creation club
Yup
Thank you for your work.
God, I'm jealous of all these goodies on PC (as an Xbox player)
Instead of forget spells, consider spellcrafting.
It does the same thing with the added benefit of custom spell editing
Excellent. Thanks!

Hey, if I may ask, what’s the armour/clothing your character is wearing at 4:41 ? Great Vid as always btw!
It's part of the creation club - tis the scrub clothes

What jumping animation you used in better jumping section? It looks good
for immersive equipment display, the quiver thing doesnt change anything, it stays in the normal spot
you have to set it to be belt-fastened manually

what lighting, weather, and ENB mods do you use? Looks stunning.
@redshift About IED is there a way to keep the sword and shield on back not just when favourited, but also while equipped by your character?

its the Madness armour from the CC
