I paid 2490 Euro in 2005 (Abu Dhabi). It's seen lots of wear, maintenance and service. A nice alternative to my Omega Seamaster purchased in 1999 (Calgary). I continue to wear these watches each week. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Classic
Perfekt! Nur das Nötigste.
Does Panerai still produce this model?
No, I believe it’s closest relative is the 776 nowadays
lovely back impressive
How come I wanna buy every watch Tim demos here on this channel. Pretty much every one anyway, even the ugly ones! I think I might object to a nicely duct tapped cellphone on the wrist, that’s a bridge to far.
Need a large wrist for that watch
Is Panerai and Rolex are in the same level in terms of luxury and horological value?
it depends on which model, but personally, I believe that Rolex produced many luxurious models much more than Panerai. Regarding the value, no doubt Rolex holds much more!
No. Rolex is Rolex, May be there are even more expensive Watches such as PP,AP, Richard Mille, etc. But when we are talking about watches, even somebody no related to horological think in Rolex.
Rolex is the Rolls Roice of Watches.!!
No date? Fine. But no second hand? No way.
I like to look at my watch and at least see that it's working.
Seems a little superfluous when you could easily see the movement in action by looking at the display back.
So that makes a second hand superfluous?
It also serves a function--um, measuring seconds.
This watch can't even be chronometer-certified, because you can't even verify its accuracy.
I think most people that buy Panerai don't care about such things.
Well, some 8 out of 10 watches shown on their website do, at least, have a second hand, so most of their current buyers probably care.
