I was cooking and serving. Everyone else was scared to mess it up, including me. Since I am the business owner, I have to lead the team. It was a great experience, complete surprise. The guys Danny, Lloyd and Josh were great! The review is just outstanding. It was a dream come true...
What a genuine, friendly and upbeat chip shop lady. I hate going to food places where you are not made to feel welcome or there is zero engagement like they don't even want to be tehre. She gets a solid 10 out of 10 for customer engagement. 👍👍

The lady behind the counter I would guess is of Eastern European origin but clearly been in Yorkshire for a long time. What a lovely person and an absolute credit to the business. Well done to her & keep up the good work.
Graveleys fish and chip shops are one of my faves the fish cake is the best around and the gravy is excellent. I have been into this one opposite Elland road loads and this lady is always super nice.

I had a fish and chips with curry sauce last week andddd I always dip my chips into the curry but I dipped the batter into the curry and liked it but not with the fish, gravy next time, you have peaked my interest Danny. I like this one...he didn't have to wait long for the food which means they served him the same food as they do for everyone. Sometimes it seems he is waiting a good bit...I can only imagine the kitchen staff freaking out preparing a meal for the world famous Danny.

That’s got to be the biggest thickest fish cake I have ever seen and with the fish, the gravy, the peas and curry sauce that’s a huge meal for anyone to get through.👍👍👍

That fishcake had me salivating +++. About 35 years ago Graveleys on George Street along with Dennis's on Cross York Street and Crowne Fisheries on Call Lane were my golden triangle of fish & chip shops in Leeds City Centre. Very rarely had a bad piece of fish, if I did I'd walk to the next one and re-order..... Miss those days.
Man, I wish we could get monster filets like that over here in the States. Those cod filets seem to be the norm rather than the exception over there! I think that (counter) lady was kinda sweet on you, Danny! LoL

Sur you could not go to a grander place for a fish and chips although I've never been there to that chipper but we'll give it a try next time we are over from Ireland 🇮🇪 to see our Leeds United playing, it over three years now due to pandemic but also we are finding it very difficult to get tickets for Leeds home games. Love the fact that you're coming over to Ireland 🇮🇪 too because of brexit we as people need to get back to meeting each other again we have more in common with English Scottish and Welsh people than those dup unionist lot 😀. I've seen more British vehicles travelling here in Ireland 🇮🇪 for a very long time and great to them here again too,I believe you are doing excellent work by visiting these places giving an honest opinion and by us Irish English Scottish and Welsh people mixing together hopefully it will bring us back to better time. In America it seems to me they do fish goujons and fries and call it fish and chips. It's very rare you'll get one proper piece of fish

Sur you could not go to a grander place for a fish and chips although I've never been there to that chipper but we'll give it a try next time we are over from Ireland 🇮🇪 to see our Leeds United playing, it over three years now due to pandemic but also we are finding it very difficult to get tickets for Leeds home games.
Love the fact that you're coming over to Ireland 🇮🇪 too because of brexit we as people need to get back to meeting each other again we have more in common with English Scottish and Welsh people than those dup unionist lot 😀. I've seen more British vehicles travelling here in Ireland 🇮🇪 for a very long time and great to them here again too,I believe you are doing excellent work by visiting these places giving an honest opinion and by us Irish English Scottish and Welsh people mixing together hopefully it will bring us back to better time.
We're looking forward to getting over to Leeds for a game first time in over three years Danny if we can get tickets although we want to go down to London because we have Irish terrier and we have seen people in London who have Irish terrier as well and we want our Finn some of his own anyway keep up this excellent work and we're hoping you'll come down further south and check out some other places here too.
