You have too be so many miles away from your work place. To claim the tax. Sorry I can't remember but I think about 7 miles. You need to check with your accountant or your local Tax office. Who are helpful and will give you tax saving advice. I know that surprise me.

I finally found one decent fish 'n chips place here in Richmond, Virginia. It's called Pennylane Pub. We had to import a Yorkshire man. He was respectfully approached, struck with a rock on the back of the head, put in a sack and woke up here in Richmond 23 hours later then presented with our best reproduction of an English pub. The place does have a soda fountain and aircon so it was much too comfortable and I got 4 glasses of coca cola to go with my FnC. All told, it cost around 10 Pounds with tip. He had soccer on the big flat screen TVs around the place and seemed happy. The place was busy and he's become a wealthy man.

Apparently, it's also a popular place to go and watch soccer which was on all the big screens. A lot of Americans like fish and chips but we only have terrible options like Long John Silver's and Captain D's. They serve something which can be called Fish and Chips but its an awful version. Think low quality, budget fish fingers, but bad. I would love a place like Mother Hubbard's close by, go in, pay a reasonable price, get some nice fish and chips and leave. I think such places could do very well here in the States.

The US has crap fish and chips. Some sriracha would be banging with that meal. The closest thing to British fish and chips in Maryland is battered lake trout or whiting with fries (chips) and cole slaw. Whenever I see this on a menu, I order it. I'm never disappointed. Your meal from that take out in Washington DC would cost upwards $20 US dollars + or 14.38 pounds.
When I were a lad in Southport we bought dandelion and burdock in large stone flasks about 3 litres. The ones with huge body with small loop at neck . 60 years later I can remember the great taste. Similar to A and W root beer today.

I tried to recreate my grandmother's chicken gravy with biscuits floating in it. Could not understand why I did not get the golden yellow color that Grandma's used to have. My sister said, "you idiot, she used to put yellow food coloring in it!"

The fish and chips in Yorkshire are always fantastic that's coming from a Lancashire lad i think it is because of most being cooked in dripping .My favorite chippy used to be Grandma Pollards in Walsden now closed due to Tony retiring always spot on .Danny is very funny love his videos sounds like Peter Kay just a smashing lad thanks
