I am sorry you have experience hurtful words from your own. I think you have been unfortunate to know some ignorant people wherever you are at because I know and have known so so many light skinned FBA people and have never known any to be shunned or mentioned that they have felt that way. I am not suggesting that your experience is real but I am very skeptical about this Nationwide movement that you’re reporting on. I know that in Brazil and in the many other Nation that the Mixed race lighter skinned peoples actually do exercise superiority and enjoy upper class privileges that darker skinned people do not have. Here in the USA I hope that we can remain United and work hand in hand because we really are in the same families and share the same heritage even if there is an admixture of some other racial bloodline.
