  • hi guys! here's my new video on my autistic traits I'm starting to unmask. I'm in the process of learning to unmask my autism and trying to just be me! it's been tough im not going to lie, as when you mask your autism for so long you start to forget who you are! but it is possible to start to unmask your autistic traits. my best tip of advice is to read up on autistic pages on Instagram or twitter as there many great pages on there which will really help you learn more about yourself! There's also some great autistic vloggers on here and Tik Tok to! So go and check out some autistic pages or vloggers if you struggling to remember who you are. (don't used the Internet as it just gives you a load of autism speaks searches which you don't want to look at as there looking for a cure for autism and don't actually support autistic people!) following lots of great autistic pages really inspired me to make a autistic page and do autistic vlogs in the first place and has help me learn to unmask and now I'm finding everyday life so much easily to deal with! :)
    anyway I'm rambling on a bit too much! I hope you all had a amazing day! Lauren :)xxx

    I struggle with communication as well. I often have been told “I don’t understand you.”
    There’s jokes that fly over my head at times, it’s embarrassing.
    I didn’t walk on my toes but I do remember walking on my heels when I was a bit younger.

      Thanks for watching! Interesting to see what we have in common! And it interesting you walked on your heels rather then your toes! Thank you for sharing your experiences ❤

      It’s a difficult process after having done it all your life all the best and take it one step at a time

    I was 9 when I learned to tie a bow - and I only learned it then because my grandmother showed me to just make two loops and tie them in a knot. I highly reccommend elastic shoelaces. My favorite shoes have laces that look just like the ones they came with, but I never have to tie them.

      Awww I never even heard of elastic laces before! Thanks for bringing this to my attention I definitely be letting my fellow autistic friends know about this! And that's lovely that your grandmother taught you how to tie a bow! Thanks for the lovely comment! ❤

    I only get social exhaustion around people that don't interest me or bore me after a while!

    • @laurenamydavidson5117
      @laurenamydavidson5117  Рік тому

      I totally get this! Nothing worst when you with someone and they talking about something that doesn't interest you in any way its the worst! As you don't want to be rude and yawn but at the same time it hard to keep interested when the conversation not interesting to you!
