    Fantastically good video. Thanks.

Great flying and very nice smooth slow rolling circles. I am about to build one of these, will be using a DLE 35RA engine with a 18X8 Mejzlik carbon fiber prop. Surprised that you balanced it on the suggested CG while everyone else said it was wrong and were balancing just ahead of the wing tube. Do you still have this airplane? It might not do the slow and low 3D maneuvers like the harrier, harrier rolls etc., but the faster ones like the blender, torque rolls, the wall, waterfall etc., will be possible since I had a Hangar 9 Edge 540 in the early 2001 which did all I just mentioned. The Hangar 9 Edgg 540 had less wing area too and I was flying that with a DA 50 and a 22X 10 prop which was heavier than the DLE 35RA.

This model is tail heavy since they put the elevator servos in the tail. It's hard to balance without adding too much weight to the nose. I've managed it but I've had to move the throttle servo and rx pack in the engine box, add a lighter tail wheel, lighter plastic geared elevator servos, moved engine forward an additional 20mm and added an aluminium spinner! Balances around 100mm back from leading edge of wing which is 30-40mm infront of the center of the main spar! Don't balance it on the main spar, it'll fly like crap and you'll be forever fighting it in the air!

Thanks, it's amazing you say that as I'm also getting 6100rpm from my OS33GT and mines run in. I may change props to get more rpm. I was told mejzlick props are much lighter that beila and should give better performance. Thanks for your help though.

I may not get any more but I will have a go, saying that though I'm happy with the power for normal aero's. The biela prop is quite heavy and has wide blades so that may be keeping it lower than usual, I chose it because I thought it would keep the noise down.

Nice flying, I have the same plane with the OS33GT also using a beila 20x8 prop. Just wondering what rpm you are getting at full throttle and also, what life batteries you got. I have 4000mah for the receiver and 2300mah for the ignition. I'm a 3D pilot and feel the model is a bit under powered/bit heavy for 3D. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

I'm not sure about the rpm, but I will measure it tomorrow as I will be flying it tomorrow if the weather is ok. I have 2 x 2500 mah life batteries running through a powerbox switch for the rx, and a 2500mah Nimh for the ignition. I don't really fly 3D but it has plenty of power for normal aero's, plus the engine is not yet fully run in.

So, your flying speaks for itself, but I'd like to ask... how you rate this aircraft for semi-precision aerobatics ?

This model is stable and is very predictable with the C of G in the recommended position, normal aero's are very smooth.

That would be great if you can measure the rpm. I love the plane it flies well but feel it's heavy for 3D so trying to find ways to make it a little lighter. Really enjoyed your video nice smooth rolls

so I measured it today and it turns out I'm only getting 6100 rpm, I know I'm at the top end of the recommended prop size but I was surprised it was that low.
I may have to tweak the mixture but I have been careful so far as the engine is still fairly new.
