This is a port of the mobile game not a remaster of the original game sadly, because of this it had huge backlash and been removed from sale on Steam

Is the difficulty level increased for the pc experience? Since it is a mobile port I guess it was quite easy originally, in order to adapt to the bulls**t touch controls.

Has anyone here played the remaster on mobile?

Yes it was available on Play Store (Android) and iOS stopped around two year ago cost about £6 however the developers stopped supporting updates on Android and it was removed as a download able option.
Colin McRae Rally sometimes works on Android 10, I can play a single Rally stage however before progressing to the next stage it freezes on the load screen. I have an older phone in my draw purely for this game, Samsung Note 4 which has Android 6.
The game is 7/10 on mobile, would have scored higher if Bluetooth controller could be connected. The two options are touch screen controls, which doesn't have the desired feedback and the second is physical phone movement (Mario Kart on the Nintendo Wii style) which I could never get used to.
A real shame it it not supported anymore, they obviously were not making a profit.
