Team Samsung or Team iPhone on low light? Of course I saw some pointers off with export 🤦🏻♂️ Did you notice?
What about pixel 8 pro compared to these two?
You take all the photos with minimal or maximium smart optimization?
I’d say team iPhone is more well-rounded and consistent. Surprisingly Samsung does seem to win at 5x when night mode doesn’t activate, but I still think iPhone looks better at 5x once it does activate. The main camera shots without night mode are clearly better in terms of detail on the iPhone, and while Night mode processing does help the Samsung, it seemed all over the map while the iPhone produced the cleaner, less noisy, yet more detailed and realistic photos at both 1x and 2x.
My main takeaway though, is that Apple needs to tune their front camera. Still by far their weakest point. It does tend to make faces looks red which is really annoying, it could have been a draw but it was just too red.
Samsung nailed it
Team iPhone absolutely
24 MP night shots on S24U were surprisingly good!!!
Con ese ruido por falta de capacidad de capturar luz del isocell HP2 no se puede decir "sorprendentemente"😂😂😂

@@kevinortega678 nah I'm what you said is not that important. I'll pass.
as usual I prefer your channel with camera comparison danny! so comprehensive!
Thank you so much!
And again, you're really the best in camera comparison, so accurate.
I'd love to see one with s24 ultra and s23 ultra! ❤
This I will do after the first major update. I have a feeling it will drop really soon.
@dannywinget Can you try to include some photos with scene optimizer turned on for the S24U (even though it's off by default), just to show the difference? Since some are claiming the S23U photos look a bit more vibrant in certain situations, it would be interesting to see if you can achieve the same look on the S24U by turning it on.
@@dannywinget That's great news thank you!
I hope it will be released soon as well
@dannywinget looking forward to your S23U vs S24U comparison ❤
@@dannywingetDanny, compare with one ui 6.1 in both devices.❤
They both have fantastic camera systems, but I was giving the S24 the majority of the wins picture for picture. Samsung deserves a lot of credit for it's improvements over the S23 Ultra photowise. I am looking forward to seeing what the 16 Pro Max brings to the table now.
Theyre not giving it enough praise honestly
Really? I have s23u 0 difference photo. And most situation better on my s23u details.
@@treasurem2491coz they are invited in Cupertino for apple events. any one who is invited on their events are biased.
@@treasurem2491 You are so right. They most certainly aren't giving it enough praise and credit.
@@furieux6742 Respect to you and your opinion.
Hello Danny, please make sure to switch on "Upscale Zoom Quality" when selecting "High resolution options" in Camera assistant. Also, make sure quality is set to maximum in "Intelligent optimization" in Camera settings. One of the best camera comparisons I've seen yet!
Great work and finally an honest amd DETAILED comparaison. Thank you. We're waiting for new comparison after the s24 update
I wasn't expecting the really good job on the 24mpx from Samsung. I didn't even knew it had the option. So glad that you did the comparison
Really love your reviews, I've seen many people being biased towards the iPhone and some towards the S24, this is the most honest review I've seen. (BTW that 24MP thing is really cool, if there was an option by default and some processing tuning, it can do wonders, it really has potential.
amazing as always
seperate section made only for non night mod photos (and furthermore with a lot of photos, thank you), night mod section with the comparison of the same photos without night mod, you pick up every pros and cons you can give us, extremly detailed, very beautiful photos and landscapes, and this is non exhaustive, your camera comparisons are the best by very very far, a pleasure to watch even if I am not looking to buy any of those phones at all, thank you
Great comparison man! I was amazed at the big differences in 5x zoom nightmode shots. Between those and nightmode selfies, samsung looks leagues ahead and I can see myself using those 2 modes (and just the normal 5x zoom) often when taking photos at concerts in dark clubs with colorful lasers and whatnot and I would definitely be happier with the samsung results. Appreciate your in depth videos!
Thank you Danny, great comparison!
I love your videos! Please make more of them. I LOVE THEM
You're really good at taking pictures. I enjoyed the wonderful review
Thank you 🙏🏻
It's amazing how clear are low light photos without night mode on... Absolutely fantastic shots...!
Simply the gold standard for camera comparisons💙 Thank you.
You are the best at camera comparison ❤
I love the effort you put in , keep it up !
The 5x portraits from the S24U look awesome 👏
In camera assistant app you can adjust "picture softening" to Min, Medium and Max. Setting it to medium produces really good pictures.
Non diminuisce la nitidezza, ma applica solo una maschera morbida, da non usare assolutamente
@@giampaolo9576Absolutely incorrect and easily proven when testing.
@@johnwasgeht5263i use goodlock and camera assistance a lot and trust me there is nth iPhone can do to beat that
Thanks Danny. This video was very helpful as well as the others. I obviously learnt a few things from this video but rest of them are accurate descriptions of what I'm also seeing on my S24U. It takes great portraits. Night shots are great. But it can do with some tuning (hopefully Samsung does the updates soon) for the rest of the camera performance.
Thanks for the video comparison, you always give your honest opinion, I really appreciate your hard work🙂
Those 24MP pictures on the S24U have really a lot of potential! Hope samsung will ad it as a eegular festure !
Also looking forward to your intense S23U vs S24U comparison.
Nobody does it better than you :)
Awesome as always Danny. Thanks to your detailed reviews I purchased my Samsung 24Ultra and other gadgets.
Your comparisons and zoneoftech comparisons are the best. It's crazy how you two get such good photos from the s24 ultra to compare to the iPhone and almost everyone else's comparison has some trash pics representing the s24 ultra. Like they almost purposely took horrible pics to use
Because it's on purpose 🤷🏻♂️
The comparisons you make are the most professional, very good presentation. When do you make one between s23 ultra s24 ultra?
As soon as the first update hits I will do that first
Danny is the best. Very detailed. Very comprehensive.
We were indeed waiting for this Danny
I hope it was worth the wait!
@dannywinget it was indeed, thanks mate 👍🏾
6:41 looks like iphone picture is from DSLR
Super saf should watch this and learn how to Make a comparison
This was good Danny! Waiting for the video test now. While I wish Samsung would abandon the ridiculous 200mp sensor and go for 1" type from Sony, they did a great job with their processing. Really impressed with the iphone's output as well. Really can't lose either way.
You have made the best comparison so far. I have seen a lot and most are biased towards the iPhone or the Samsung. Good job man..
Once again, Danny is the best Smartphone camera comparison reviewer on YT ever!!
The GOAT.
We appreciate your professionalism 💪
Thanks for the support! It keeps me going when people enjoy them
What I know you take yr time before u give us this wonderful content.. keep the fire burning 🔥
For the aggressive oversharpening on the samsung, you could configure it to be less via the camera assistant by selecting medium or high on the picture softening, i read that medium is the best and removes samsungs tendency to oversharpen photos
Continue ❤ love your videos comparison
Would love to see Pixel 8 Pro comparison too, especially after latest update. Also how it compares with having Full Res mode on all lenses.
Would be really cool if you could do a video comparing movement between the S24 Ultra, iPhone 15 Pro Max, Pixel 8 Pro, and OnePlus 12. From my experience Samsung has really bad motion capturing but it would be cool to see someone of your caliber testing that.
My man! Coming through with the Coca-Cola red test! GREAT video as always, appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos!
You know I had to do it! Its become a thing which I laugh at sometimes but thank you for watching.
Love your hardwork that you put in making this comparison. I own both phones but I'm more amazed by the camera quality of the ultra. If only Samsung fixed the grain issue/ mura effect on screen
Good News! New Camera focused software update is on air in S.Korea region! Can't wait for US and your new camera review video!
best camera comparison that I ve seen. ;D
This is a great comparison video. I have the Samsung S24 and am pleased with it but I have to admit that in about 50% of these, I preferred the way the iPhone rendered the photos. I'd call it 50/50 based on my screen and my opinion of how the photos looked. I suppose it also could depend on camera settings as well. Sometimes, I'll take a photo and it looks ok, then I really mess around with the settings, take a photo of the same thing (Within seconds, so the scene and lighting remains the same) and the 2nd photo with manipulated settings looks incredible.
I don’t care about anything else but colors , iPhones has always been the best in term of color accuracy and I hate the over sharpening and contrast in all android devices and that’s my preference , when i look at my self in any iPhone camera even old ones , it always feels more true to life and beautiful with an aesthetic look and more true to life vibes , but android devices is so digital and feels fake and unrealistic and just ew most of the times
I totally agree with you. If you have a compatible device you can shoot RAW photos and adjust the colors to your liking.
Very Good comparison Thanks. ❤❤
Beautiful family. S24 ultra user. Thanks for the pro tips for night mode. Will definitely try raw.👍🏿
thank you Danny, great video. Please can you make one with X7 Ultra Oppo? That's truly a killer phone. I can recommend a few places you can buy. But would really appreciate if you can
hi thanks for this will a new comparison be made after the updates? ty
Good job Danny !
Just came across your video, after i learned the camera performance will be enhanced in at least 5 ways with an update. Will you be revisiting these comparisons?
Beautiful family you got there Danny. Thanks for the review.
I missed the pre-order purchase of the 24 Ultra so i'm either gonna wait for mid-year sale or just wait for the S25 Ultra.
P.S. i'll be upgrading from my trusty steed LG V30
Can't wait from s24U get big update with camera
Just curious to see about the S24U camera setting applied, is it all the testing done with Intelligent optimization set to 'Maximum' and 'Scene Optimizer' on? Or is it something else?
S24U didn't have any update yet, and it's compared to phones that are months on the market. And it's still holding pretty well. Having mine for almost 3 weeks now, and cameras are good, but I don't see any big difference to the S22U I was using. I think cameras reached its peak and I don't expect big improvements. They will battle with numbers, as always, but in reality differences are so minor.
Stop the camera war this two are so similar there is almost nothing to compare 😂
Nice review. I would love to see how does the 24 MP of s24 ultra performs against vivo x100 pro
Is this a comparison video 📱📱 or a tutorial for how taking photos 📸 or both📱📷📱🎉?
✅ Thanks a lot, appreciate your effort.
That 24 mp expert raw images from Samsung were just dope at night
The best at it once again
@dannywinget : which one do you prefer? I am in india and plan to buy...!! camera/battery/performance is main priority.
Nice details sir
Good video 🎉
13:06 the lights ARE way beter on andriod though,
3:40 you didn’t talk about the green hue on Samsung’s picture in night mode . Bottom left corner
Both phones have pros and cons . I prefer S24U though. Nightmode on iPhone makes the photos look fake and too bright. Nighttime photos should be darker because it's night! S24U wins in most scenarios.
Congrats Danny for your great comparison video one more time 👍
Best camera comparison. I have the S24U but to be honest I like the iphone 15 Pro camera also and maybe a little bit more. Like you say it's a mixed bag.
Is that photo taken after update of camera bugs received in feb 2024?
This is a great effort and congratulations for that. But u try to put a lot of information in a video and u talk too fast. Thus I don't exactly see all those things u comment in a photo and try to go back and forth to see it all the time in every example. You do it for the duration of the video I understand but it's ok if it was larger in time. For that extended test it's ok Danny. Don't be afraid. Thanks anyway.
Thanks for the feedback. I would make a 30 min video but if the average view duration is only 5-6 minutes it is a waste for me. I try to pace it where I can fit a lot of information in 15 minutes tops. This is why I separated the day and night time because to do both in 15-20 min is impossible.
DANNY is the BEST...The best ever in camera comparison..I do not buy a phone before watching his videos...Great job Danny😊
🙏🏻
Samsung got crushed 😂😂😂😂😂
Which one would you recommend for recording videos in big concerts when sitting across the stage and you need a good zoom as well? The iphone or the S24?
I just jumped from iOS to Android, going from iPhone XS Max to Samsung S24 Ultra. Overall I am very happy with this phone, the camera quality is also great. One thing I don't like is the selfie camera. My skin tone looks too white, definitely miss the selfie quality from the iphone. But yeah, no regret jumping ecosystem 🍻
Wow s24U so so better
I'd recommend to make another video since Samsung just dropped a major display and CAMERA update.
Can you do a video on best setting for night recording on the s24 plus please
Muito bom
O vídeo
Parabéns .
Samsung and Apple are now neck to neck, but I still prefer S24 U, what a phone!
Im actually surprised by how good the S24 Ultra was hey
This is after the update?
Team Samsung. 👍
Extensive Danny 👍👍
Merhaba bide huawei mate 60 pro plus vs iphone 15 pro max kameraları karşılaştırmısın
Thanks
Hi, why HDR10+ on Samsung looks terrible. Too contrasty and exposure shifting
I saw you got vivo x100 Pro for a while , any chance to see real battle of its against Samsung or Apple ?
Yup it will 100% happen. Just waiting on updates so I don’t get flamed in the comments 🤣
Agreed with you about avoid flame 🔥 😅, can't wait to see that battle of comparison. Thank you
Please make a comparsion with the IPhone 15 pro Max , Galaxy s24 Ultra and the Oneplus 12
It's probably a good job and comparison. As others have already noticed, Samsung has improved and sharp bright elements and shadows. It is convenient. It's not simple at all. Please note how many lighting points there are in the photos and what the estimated lighting power is. The Samsung has a nice color at night and can also take photos without any lighting.
Waiting for that S24 ultra vs pixel 8 pro bud!
I just change the settings in the camera assistant to medium with the softening. It make a world of difference to my s23 ultra. Makes pictures look so much more natural now.
Hoping to see s24 ultra vs pixel 8 pro camera comparison😁
nice
Damn its super close. Very similar
They both have great camera systems but I'm going give the S24U the majority of the picture wins. Samsung has come a long way, just going to get better with the camara update that's supposed to be released any day now
Do you have scene optimizer on with Samsung?
Yes since it is on by default.
@dannywinget No, my friend scene optimizer is off by default this year , Samsung changed that , usually it's On by default but with S24Ultra is off by default, and thanks for the 24MP comparison ❤
@@WVISIONCREATION ye it was off for me in EU at least, Iam testing is it better now with it on or off
@mankvlpwnz yes it's off by default, but it's better to keep it on wit maximum quality
i still wish the images didnt come out blurry with movement on the s24 ultra, i wonder if its more to do with hardware or software issues if i can even call it that
Hey danny can you compare pixel 8 pro vs s24 ultra vs iphone 15 pro max ?
I think he's beefing with pixel or something.
Finally s24 ultra is the king!!😊
King of the superexposition, kkkk
@@ederoliveira4665 When your phone can charge over 25W, then you can talk.
😂
Damn the photos of S24 is goddamn beast but the video apple still the best. I think samsung can push s24 ultra more
Samsung doesnt have a lot more work to do on the night mode to make it extremely good. It just needs to tone down the highlights a bit for scenes with lights.
is there update for s24U after its launching date?
It’s coming very soon. I think by end of this month or early March
Wow. Seeing Danny's kids growing up before our eyes.
Right? How do you think I feel 😭
