This video can be helpful for a majority of users that are coming from older devices, let's say a S21 Ultra, and they are deciding between the "latest and most expensive" or "save money and buy last years phone"

@AuthenTech yes well said, I am replacing a s21 ultra at end of contract. I retire in a monthso this is my travelling gadget & interest, especially photos.
I used to be a serial phone changer (I usually upgraded every 6 months), but I've stuck with the S23 Ultra since release. It's the only phone that I feel comfortable using for multiple years, and I will only probably upgrade this phone when there is a significant upgrade in night time videography.
TBH the differences are so small now that how we're reviewing these devices needs to change entirely. The quality bump on any phone is not needed really... Almost any mid to high range phone these days has a good enough camera that needs a good photographer is all...
@user-xf2sp5xz7n what for camera or general phone? Cuz s24 had a stronger and better screen with less glare and way longer phone updates and I think similar optimization actually the same basically
Quite disappointed in the S24 Ultra this year. Sure, maybe they upgraded the camera in some aspects, but in terms of zoom... I don't think so. I think s23 ultra zooms better. What's even the point of buying the s24 ultra then? They promoted their AI features quite a lot, but even the s23 series will get it. Design also pretty much the same. Hopefully they will do something impressive for the s25 ultra.
@@doitjustdoit-ee9roThat's a downgrade for me. I just use a anti spy screen protector which is terrible with it's anti glare screen, makes it hard to see. Huge downgrade imo.
It looked like the s23 had more contrast or dynamic range or something , giving the footage just a bit more depth , which i found more pleasing. it made the s24 footage look slightly flat in comparison. Especially noticeable with the footage of the train. That's quite surprising.
Which settings do you adjust so the 20 or even 50x zoom looks so nice?? My s22ultra looks im taking photos with a nokia 😢, blurry and so horrendous photos it shoots

Love this video!! I have an iPhone 15 Pro max and I love the image stabilization for videos but don’t love the 5x optical zoom so I’m thinking of buying the S23 Ultra just for its camera. What do you think of the S23 video image stabilization vs that of the iPhone 15 pro max? Thanks so much!
I was considering buying a good smartphone for photography and video and you made it absolutely clear that I don't need to spend that much money on a smartphone. Thank you! This was very helpful. I know that iPhones are very good at it, but I can't get used to them.
As s23ultra user i can say that quality of details in good lifht photos are the same. X3 and x10 is better than x3 and x5 tele in s24u. But the biggest difference is low light photography (s24u is way more better colors and white balance). Also i dont like the way how my s23u loves to do colors more saturated and sometimes its very artificially But therefore, i wont switch s23u for s24u at least zoom is dope asf
Same thing, let's just be honest.. I also got the Sony ZV E1 full frame, 4k camera and sometimes it does better than any phone, especially blurry background, the ability to change lenses and a lot more features.

As far as I can see, it's not the same position the phones were held in for the photo and because of that the s23 was at a disadvantage. The angle of incidence of the light was higher (it was kept on the left side), the resulting images favor the s24
0 point in upgrading. Samsung needs to hit it out of the park with camera tech for the 25 ultra if they want ppl to upgrade from their 23 ultra. Gives us optical variable aperture zoom. A bigger sensor for ultra wide, make the zoom lens able to take macro(make this sensor size 1/1.7 at least) same with ultra wide sensor size wise, and yeah... BIGGER higher end sensors. 23 ultra will last for years to come without the want for upgrading.
Yet, motion is still an area the camera massively struggles, and it hasn’t gotten any better this year. If anything in your shot is moving (or even if it’s not, sometimes), the end result can often be a blurry mess
