Very nice! Like seeing the prices finally get to a level that shows appreciation for the 2nd generation Z28.

The first z has been restored in many places and it's obvious. The second dark blue z has been restored as well (not as much restoration as the first z though), as the rear end shocks make the car sit higher in the rear than from the factory and the third 79 is a beautiful original z.

That 79 is a beautiful car! And yours is as well! I agree 100% that the interior of the dark blue car was terrible! I much prefer the 4 speed cars over the automatic and I've never liked T-top cars. For both aesthetic and structural reasons. Although I love all the second gen Z/28's my favorite years in order would be 70, 74, 71-73, 77 and 78. I didn't like the interior changes 79-81. I also preferred the hood and fender vents of the 78-79 over 80-81. 74 and 77 were very unique although very similar in appearance, the 74 and earlier rear window was so much better looking I have a soft spot for the 77 because I owned a beautiful original Orange 4 speed car with a blk/tan interior that was just gorgeous. I should have never let it get away! I bought that car for $3000 in 1993. I owned a White 78 4 speed car that had been rode hard and put away wet. That car ended up a street racer with @ 500hp 350 and the 264:1 wide ratio Super T-10 and 3.73:1 rear. It launches like it had 4.56 rear and still had decent street manners with the high rpm engine and the transmission and gearing combo. It was a bit of a legend in my town in its day. I've owned others too....but those 2 were the most fun and best bargains. And had a lot of influence on my tastes in these cars.

I think a little less than that. Aluminum wheels, air conditioning, T-Tops and custom interior were the expensive options.

@@Bigmacland-zl3wo i bought a new 1981 Camaro base model 305 v8 4spd. Put my own stereo in it. Worked in a gm plant 80-82 while attending community college. My gm discount was 18 percent off. Out the door 8600 with tax. Z28 was over 10k. Corvette was 14-15k
