    Want to ask my clutch starting with grinding sound if the ac is on and when its off still doin same sound with less grinding sound. Is the clutch to tight?

      The belt needs to be removed first, and an attempt should be made to turn the pulley by hand with the engine off. This will determine whether the issue is in the pulley bearing itself or in the compressor. It is very rare for the clutch disc to spin within the compressor itself.

    When the clutch gets burned up does the system get contaminated ? I want to know the likelihood of needing to replace other parts like condenser , dessicant bag . drier ? I've got a 15 Ford Fusion 2.5 L . Clutch looks bad the clutch material is coming out the front

      @Diythings.  Рік тому +1

      No,don't worry, there is no connection between clutch and cooling fluid.

    • @Troyvidihoo
      @Troyvidihoo Рік тому +1

      No , only if the compressor is locked up or grinding internally is the condenser/refrigerant at abnormal risk of being contaminated. If your worried about warranty on a new compressor though, they still wont honor it if you didnt replace the condenser and drier, and flush the evaporator .

      @@Troyvidihoo the shop seemed to have done a good job cause it’s cooling very reasonable price too . But I freaking got hit at driver side wheel . I’m trying to fix myself or maybe get somebody to do it soo far the CV axle is broken off into the transmission and the lower control arm needs replacing . Might be other damage I just don’t know I’ve never done this kinda work. Got broken lower control arm off and the CV axle off and went to junkyard and got those two parts. The third part with the long boot on it might KO I just don’t know. On my car it looks like boot part is torn and the supposed metal thing isn’t even on there . On the junkyard car I got it from had a metal piece under that boot but mine didn’t . I don’t know if it’s supposed to have this but what happened to it if so ?? Broke off or what? I guess I can look up the Ford website and see what is supposed to be there or not ??

      @@frankmontez6853 I don't know that particular car but most cv axles just pull out of the transmission, you got to pry them out, there's a retaining spring ring to keep them locked into the gear in the transmission and you just have to overcome it and it slides out without being damaged. Not sure if you are saying the actual casing of the transmission is damaged in that case you're pretty much done. But if just a CV axle is damaged I wouldn't hassle trying to get that out of a junkyard I just go get new or rebuilt unit with lifetime warranty that's complete with the boots and everything all put together already. This is a part that no matter how lucky you are eventually those rubber boots are going to fail it's nice to have it paid for already. Also always put in a new lip seal that goes around the shaft, when you change the CV axle, the old seal will not self adjust to exactly the same size and will leak all the fluid out for sure. Since most of us don't check fluids in the differential it usually too late for your transmission when you find out.

    My ac clutch plate and 10mm nut fell off and the ac still blowing cold also i can see the shiny bearing,so i cleaned the bearing up with wd40 then i put some high temp grease wiped of the excess and went to my cromebook y ordered a new ac compressor clutch kit.175,000 k miles on it,i only added maintenance amount of oil and recharge refrigerant.

    Can someone enlighten me about ac compressor
    how are they like. are they different in each car for example i have a mazda3 gx 4dr 2013 and i need a fixing on it but i need knowledge on what and how is it and can i put a 2010 ac compressor in it?
    and do they haev a particular code or number?
    and can someone tell me about a website or app where i can find the part with my cars VIN number

    • @Diythings.
      @Diythings.  3 місяці тому +1

      There are plenty of programs that work with VIN numbers. I work in a car service shop, and many times, wrong parts have been brought in. That's why these programs aren't so reliable for me. I remove the part by its identification number and order it. So, it's best to read the code on the compressor and search for it based on that.

      Sorry to hear that, but there is some situations where clutch is so stuck where you must try with some other methods. I made a 3 different puller tools with no result. Many times I change the whole compressor. When is Stuck is Stuck.

      @Diythings.  Рік тому +1

      No man, you gonna destroy the compressor. Axle seal is the first that you will melt. Firstly, try to make some diy puller than if it dont work, go and buy a new (used) compressor.

      @@Diythings. The compressor is leaking somewhere around axle seal. So probably that's what i have to change.
      I tried with diy 3d printed puller but it bent the steel plate for 3 m8 screws it's suck so much.
