- Hey everybody! This is my take on the classic Jake E Lee song Shot in The Dark. I did not play it like the original which is in an alternate tuning. This is played in E flat 1/2 step down from standard. I'm playing my Zakk Wylde Custom Epiphone Les Paul through my Line 6 UX2 Studio Pod. I hope you all enjoy it, I sure did learning to play it!

One of the hardest most underrated hard rock/metal guitar songs ever. Jake E. Lee is an absolutely phenomenal guitar player and never gets the credit he deserves. You did this perfect justice and then some! I’ve been playing for a long time and I still can’t get it completely right like this. Killed it man 👍🏻

Ehh I wouldn’t say it that hard of a riff to learn I learned it in under 20 mins from Guitar lessons 365 and it’s pretty mainstream to me. I would say try to play a guitar solo from CC from poison and u will see it’s not too hard.

@joshjarmusic I'm guessing you mean the bends I'm doing in front of the nut? If so, the guitar doesn't go out of tune for a few reasons. 1: The strings are thoroughly streched out. 2: This Les Paul had an awesome set up job done by a pro guitar tech. 3: Epiphone makes quality insturments. The key is to make sure that your strings are streched properly. The 2 step bend can really screw with the tuning on new strings. Hope that helped.

Yes that was GREAT!! I'm working on Mr Crowley and am at the first or main solo and it is absolutely brutal! Maybe after I play it a thousand times through I'll have it tied together proper and can start the process over with the outro solo so absolutely MUCH RESPECT TO YOU for getting this one down from Mr. Jake E.
