Look at you posting 2 days in a row! What a treat!! I wish I could resist this, but I'm a total sucker for Hermes. I hadn't realized they had hit stores. Thanks!!
I think it’s important to note that Hermes barely uses the word bronze in their description of these powders. I think they intend them to literally give healthy looking color to your face, which is also way more their aesthetic than bronzing the way beauty people tend to. I ordered shade one and the rose illuminator, I hope they’re pretty! 🤞
Yes good point! They are going for the "healthy glow" look. I used the word bronzer cause I feel like it would confuse people but indeed they are meant to be very natural for their target clientele. I hope they come out with a few more shades :)
Idk how they did this, but these powders offer way more pigment, than what they look like they give. Both shades 4 & 5 work for me. I do think they could use 2-3 more shades like you pointed out but these powders may be able to work for a wide range of skin tones. Not the very darkest person, but def would show up on someone 2 maybe 3 shades darker than me. Secondly, this is the best formulated powder I’ve used in life. I’ve been in makeup since 2007 and they have out performed any powder I’ve used. Its so smooth to the touch and blends like a DREAM!! It’s def worth the $100 price point as they are giving more product than other brands, it can work on a wide range of skin tones, the formulation and how it looks. Most beautiful bronzing powder I’ve ever used. My only cons is that the undertones could use some work, the fragrance is so loud and I don’t mind fragrance in my powders at all, but sheesh the fragrance lasted HOURS. And lastly, the shade range also needs work. But in both shade 4&5, the trio of colors are very apparent.
Awesome review! I love the Chanel bronzer from last year and will curious how this compares. I really want to repurchase Chanel since it’s a great match for my skin tone.
This is really helpful. I wanted a Gucci Fair comparison. But adding the Tom Ford was a surprise. I really like that color and finish. Same for the eye quad you're wearing. If you get one of the Hermes glow powders, I hope you get the pinker one. I'm dying to see that on someone like you. Thanks for the video!💚
I think that shade looks great on you. Where you have a little more pigment on your hands around the knuckles, it is golden looking on camera. I think the golden shade ties things together nicely. You look like you just spent a few spring mornings outside recently, very very fresh. Personally I really hate how impossible it is to find genuinely golden shades, because I have an olive undertone and they are all way too red or pink-gray on me.
@@jessabeauty917 The lisa eldridge foundation is definitely my hands down favorite one, whatever undertone you have, it will actually match. I am able to get true olive shades from her. The Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer in medium works for olive/golden undertones better than any of my other ones. If you like dior they have some olive "dior forever" concealers that I am going to try as soon as they get here from sephora. If your skin is dry, there are some good shades of concealer and foundation from Charlotte Tilbury that will work for it but aren't as exactly matching as the Lisa Eldridge. The beautiful skin foundation in shades 5N and 8N have a good undertone for me being olive. They aren't orange at all. The Givenchy loose powder in shade 4 has some good tones and is my favorite powder.
Do I need this bronzer, no, but do I want it, absolutely. I would love to see swatches of the lighter bronzer and the glow powders. I also appreciate all of your comparison swatches.
Very good video, with the best comparisons, as always, thanks so much dear Sofia!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩I bought shade 1, Tottori as i find shade 2, Atlas a bit to yellow for my liking, so this video was very helpful with this! Shade 3 seemed a bit to deep and going already to orange but i can be wrong of course, maybe a nice summer shade! But i expect shade 1 to be a bit like TF Terra, i hope that, and the formula is buildable: i can wear TF Terra all year, because it's buildable. So i love to try this, in the beautiful refined Hermes formula. For Europeans: the bronzer is available here in Europe on the Hermes website since this afternoon. Thanks so much, have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘
@@SofiaSeesBeauty more than welcome of course dear Sofia! Yes, since this afternoon (EU Time). It was very busy on the website, it took a while to put my order through, used the refresh button now and than. And maybe it's all the same website indeed, also for USA, don't know how it works, i do not order much Hermes, have one highlighter and one blush from them.
@@tammysummerswoodbeck1353 this question is for me, as Sofia has shade Atlas, i suppose? Anyway, shade Tottori: think Chanel bronzers and those kind of shades, which are for most people with lighter complexion not a nice match, but these brands still don't get it. I can make this Tottori bronzer from Hermes work, but only thanks to the really, out of this world, formula (best powder bronzer formula ever). How to say, it diffuses so elegant on the face, it builds up, or not, whatever you want, so you cannot make a mess quickly, but Sofia explains these things much better! So if you like to have a warm toned bronzer for lighter skintones, this Hermes Tottori one you will love! But if you search Terra, no, no, no: Tottori is very far away from Terra, which is quite cool toned. Terra is very special, but i think you know the bronzers most close to TF Terra? Like Dior bronzers 4 and 6, Victoria Beckham bronzing brick shade 1, Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow in shade light, Gucci nr. 1, Chantecaille Sirena, also the Jones Road bronzers are also more cool toned, the first 3, upto 4 shades for sure, available at Liberty London, when living in Europe, like me. But our dear Sofia here showed Terra compared to the Hermes no. 2, and there are more very beautiful swatches in this video, when i see it again!!! She always has the best swatches!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Hope this helped, but compared to all these wonderful UA-camrs here, i know maybe half what they know! Have a nice day!!!
Do you feel it wore well? Lasted, stayed even, etc? I think it looked lovely on you. Really effortless, the way it blended, chefs kiss , I love dummy proof products. But I’m going to take you advice and chill while I wait for reviews of other shades. I love their permabrass highlighter, I’m excited to see swatches of the 2 new ones.
I would love to see you demo the lighter Hermes shade. Thanks so much for this video. I can't wait to see what you think of this compared to Pat McGrath's.
Hi Sofia, thank you for the great reviews!! The natural light really helps what it looks like,, since you don't have a fake tan, it makes the color look like correctly... that helps me a lot!! A lot of UA-camrs wear fake tan but...well I don't have time for a fake tan, or even hair salons so... 😢
I love this shade on you 😍 I’m really considering picking up shade 2. I was hoping to avoid it but honestly it looks really pretty. I currently only have the hourglass light bronzer which I love.
I love bronzer, so have plenty to choose from as is, so wasn’t consider it and thanks to your review am even less tempted given that I have VB 02. Best packaging ever + love having 2 colors that I can mix and match depending on how much color I’ve picked up. Doesn’t hurt that it’s refillable either.
So pretty! (You, your makeup, and the Hermes) I'd love to see the lightest shade. I like that the packaging is refillable, but since it is, it should have a nicer feel to it than "plastic-y"... that's disappointing. I do love a really light, sheer, matte, easy to blend powder though.
If you compare the price gram for gram to the VB bronzer the Hermes works out cheaper as there is 18g of product compared to 9.6g in the VB! Something to bear in mind when comparing the prices ❤
Yes please post swatches of other shades🙏 i truly love the silkiness of Hermes blushes, so its anything like that, i really need, but since its not a limited edition , i will pass for now, since i got last year Chanel oversized one . Knowing myself, it would be a waste , if i purchase , i probably would never would use the Chanel one. I wish Hermes came out before Chanel, because Chanel one is nice, but more powdery, Well and i do want to see other shades. I think i would want a little darker, since i live in SF, and use bronzer only maybe for 6 months. In spring and winter, i enjoy more looks using blush only. Have a blessed day🙏🧡
Thank you for sharing this so quick! I have been loving all things Hermès beauty! I’m so excited for this! Not sure which shade should I get, 02 or 03 definitely getting the highlighter too 😅🖤
Not into matte bronzers so it's a pass for me. The powder does look incredibly light and I am impressed that it doesn't stamp color on if applied too heavy handed.
Thanks for the review and swatches, they were very helpful. It would be great to compare prices in relation to weight.... So the Hermes Bronzer has 18 grams! of product... Whereas TF 8.7.... VB 9.6. I guess, for the amount of product you get (whether or not one wants to have a ginormous bronzer) the price tag from the Hermes is not so whopping anymore 😉
I really like this bronzer. The colour is a bit too warm for my taste, but I love how the powder looks once it is on. I think mineral powder always looks the best. It would be great if you could make a comparison between this one and the Dior bronzer (maybe when you are back in Boston), which is also mineral and my favourite. I don't know if I could ever give that one up once I run out, but it would be nice to know if it's even an option for me. As for the price, considering the quantity of bronzer it costs the same as the Gucci one and much less than the Victoria Beckham one :).
Hmm I think that this one is very natural like the one from Dior. But the texture is a little more like a dry and airy feel. They honestly both perform so well so I think it comes down to shade preference
@@tammysummerswoodbeck1353 of the Dior? I bought shade 5. My Dior foundation is 0N, so I am light, but I do like bronzer to bronze. It isn't too deep, honestly. It has a Bonne mine effect, which is very nice. Shade 4 would fit me too, but I am not a fan of the undertone.
Not sure if I would purchase the bronzer. I have bronzers that I’m happy with but I’m interested in the illuminating powders…especially the pink/rose color
I am too. I really want one of them but also they look soooo similar to every other highlighter I have so that is stopping me. I am going to save my $$ for the new Chanel collection blush
I think the bronzer looks really good on you. It looks so smooth as well. I’d like to swatch it in store, if and when it gets to S. Florida. But, she’s expensive 😊
Love your makeup look in this video. The eyes are gorgeous! I have TF Terre, a Chantecaille bronzer and an old YSL Les Sahariennes bronzing brick. I think I'm good for now. You didn't mention it but I suspect the Hermes one is fragranced so I will probably skip it.
I like the Hermes but I agree that it looks a little warm. Do you have a favorite bronzer? We wear the same color in foundations and I'm looking for a great bronzer.
Thanks for your honest review Sofia! Wow this is a whopping 98 bucks!!! How's the fragrance? I think you forgot to mention this bronzer has fragrance. It doesn't bother me but others may want to know. By the way, this bronzer looks gorgeous on you! ❤
Yes good point. I think I got used to the fragrance and then don't notice it after a while lol. If anyone is reading this, if you are fine with the scent of the gucci bronzer or gerlain powder products, you won't mind this one.
I agree with you Sofia,. The packaging of the product is not up to par with the price point. The Gucci bronzer is more lux looking and it makes it more inviting to use.
i think the price is crazy! It looks beautiful on you but I have seen the less costly options look just as good on you. I have Wayne Goss, happy with it. I am going to try Victoria Beckham. I am a bronzer and blush "addict" and even with BG sale I am going to pass on Hermes.
Wow, thank you. This is an instant pass after looking at your swatches. I have a golden undertone with fair skin and bronzers pull orange on me easily. After looking at the comparison with Tom Ford, I know this will look awful on me. 😂 Thank you!!
The haus labs bronzer is a gelee type formula if I’m not mistaken. I don’t have it but I swatched it at Sephora. I think it’s a totally different formula as the Hermes is more like a silky smooth powder. At least that’s what I’ve gathered from the product description online and watching reviews! I think the Hermes has a beautiful finish and I love that golden undertone. I got 2 shades cause I wasn’t sure which one would work best on me but I fell in love with the undertone and how sheer and buildable it looks
I really like this type of formula but this tone is a too yellow, really hoping to see the next shade somewhere. My new go to is powder bronzer and cream blush. Just looks so seamless.
Honestly the packaging of the product is a bit humble and for 100$ for me I hope they would work on it because Hermes is a luxury brand I think a lot of people would love to see a very special packaging
I love it! But I think Ill go for the lightest shade because I am fair with cool undertone and also bc I like a subtle warmth. My favorite bronzer is Guerlain light cool, gorgeous hint of pinkish bronze ❤
I’ve been using it for a few weeks and I haven’t gotten hard pan. I find that hard pan isn’t really a reflection on the product but moreso from going back and forth between the powder and a liquid base
@@SofiaSeesBeauty yea that’s what I was thinking. I have the Gucci one and love it. I think the flower beauty one has pink tones and now the new Jones road bronzer in the lightest shade is like the pinkest and most unique one that I have to get.
Love your videos! I love these Hermes bronzers and powders but their pricing is ridiculous and not cruelty free to boot so a hard pass from me. You can get a cruelty free and better brand for a fraction of these...
I was excited for these new bronzers and highlighters until I read the first ingredient…..talc…..why is a prestigious house of beauty using cancer causing talc……they call it mineral powder but if you look at the ingredient label first one is TALC….please be aware….
I think the latest research has suggested that it's not talc but rather traces of asbestos that could cause cancer. One of those things that doesn't have much science behind it but up to consumer to decide if they want to take the risk so I understand the viewpoint. There's a lot of other brands out there switching over to replacement ingredients
Yes, I would like to see swatches of other shades (especially 1 and 3).

@@JuliesNeeds the haus one is not really gelee. It’s like the finest powder that’s “plushy”. Not gelee like Mac glow play blushes
I really like this type of formula but this tone is a too yellow, really hoping to see the next shade somewhere. My new go to is powder bronzer and cream blush. Just looks so seamless.
I definitely think there will be more reviews popping up now of the other shades now that it's more readily available! :)
is it a bronzer or powder i'm so confuse?
Honestly the packaging of the product is a bit humble and for 100$ for me I hope they would work on it because Hermes is a luxury brand I think a lot of people would love to see a very special packaging
One difference with the product comparisons is that the VBB is talc free! Hermes boasts this as natural but it’s not talc free per their site.
Talc is a naturally occurring substance. It’s just that a lot of people stay away from it
I love looking at it. I just can’t justify the cost. I don’t have anything by Hermes. I think I just want something by them.
It's a lovely powder but I am sure you have some other lovely bronzers, so no need to feel the FOMO :)
Can you compare it to Victoria Beckham powder bronzer?
I do that in this video. There is a comparison section
@@SofiaSeesBeauty - oh. Sorry. I must have missed that part.
Still waiting to see colors 3 and 4. I have 2, but it is too warm. Nowhere have I seen descriptions of the shades. Bummer.
Yeah, seems like shade 3 is a lot more neutral
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I saw it on Amra’s Beauty Blog and ordered it!
@@rabbiroz3806 yay!! She has very nice demos
Insane price!
For sure lol :)
I love it! But I think Ill go for the lightest shade because I am fair with cool undertone and also bc I like a subtle warmth. My favorite bronzer is Guerlain light cool, gorgeous hint of pinkish bronze ❤
Yes then that shade is going to be perfect for you!
Did you get shade 1? How do you like it?
Does it develop hard pan? My Victoria Beckham is beautiful but it gets hard pan.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks and I haven’t gotten hard pan. I find that hard pan isn’t really a reflection on the product but moreso from going back and forth between the powder and a liquid base
I’ll get the first shade…this shade is too warm for me 😂😂
Does anyone have the 01 shade? I’m wondering if it has pink tones
I would wait until you see reviews. The 01 wasn't really available at all before the release date. It seems to have pinker tones than 02
@@SofiaSeesBeauty yea that’s what I was thinking.
Definitely a lot of other options now in the market
💜💜💖
I was excited for these new bronzers and highlighters until I read the first ingredient…..talc…..why is a prestigious house of beauty using cancer causing talc……they call it mineral powder but if you look at the ingredient label first one is TALC….please be aware….
I think the latest research has suggested that it's not talc but rather traces of asbestos that could cause cancer. One of those things that doesn't have much science behind it but up to consumer to decide if they want to take the risk so I understand the viewpoint. There's a lot of other brands out there switching over to replacement ingredients
Don't WOW me enough to break my wallet.Sorry Hermes!!
😅😅😅
Colour is meh….like nice but not blown away.
Crying at 100 Dollars for a bronzer
lol yeah it's Hermes, so expensive
Too yellow
