Could you explain the relation between the renal insufficency and dehydration ?

The more dehydrated you become, the less urine you will produce. This can eventually lead to an AKI.

@@Campbellteaching i thought when there is dehydration it leads to hypersecretion of ADH which can highly functionnate the kidney that leads to kidney insufficency ?

@@Campbellteaching i meant high level ADH target his receptors on the kidney to rehydrate the body,as soon as the receptors continue working on that without result with time the kidney get exhausted and its physiological role stopps = no rehydration of the body .

@@mounirguerram642 Eventually a dehydrated patient will develop anuria. This will lead on to AKI. However, the kidney will not rehydrate the body, only fluid intake can do that. All the kidney can do is to reduce the volumes of water being lost by producing more concentrated urine, then finally no volumes of urine.
