On reconnait toujours le son d'un Hammond B3. C'est spécial et majestueux. C'est le premier orgue que j'ai eu à 12 ans. À ce moment je ne savais vraiment pas que j'avais un bijou entre les mains.
My Dear Dad always played the cassette of Hammond Organ Hits when I was a kid ..This performance is outstanding and well played brings back memories after 45 years ..love this ❤
I bought a B3 at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, Iowa City, IA in 1985 for $75. Perfect condition. It cost more to have it sent to my mom in Ottumwa, IA.
I was raised with a B3 and a grand piano in my living room, and my mom would wait for us kids to go to bed, and start playing almost every night for two hours. I loved it.
Incredible B3 'Whiter-' Rendition--- Absolutely Flawless with Super Accurate BassPedal Work- Extremely Impressive - Soulful No SLOUCH Here Gang, From An A100-B3-C3 Player Since 1966 - With Custom Made 'Dual Leslie' By a Dear Friend of Mine James Lee Allen!
You are one of two UA-camrs who kills this song. Hammond B3 - check All the right stops - check Leslie - check Note for note rendition - check Congrats!
Outstanding! I love the song. I love your version. I miss being in a band with a "real" keyboardist using a "real" organ. Nothing finer than a B-3 and a Leslie.
Sorry to write back in english, but my spanish would be so bad nobody could read it. Thank you very much for the compliments. Yes that's true the sound and the playing feeling of the vintage Hammond tonewhell organs is unique and will never be copied and reached by digital clones and keyboards. The backing tracks are from the sequencer of the keyboard on top of the B3. It's not a midi file but the idea is similar i think.
This has to be one of the best covers on youtube...b3luvr, hats off to you....fantastic!!!!!!! ...and BRAVO~! I hope you can do some Pink Floyd keyboard work someday....and your original stuff too of course...
Use to play the Hammond K series ,way back in the early 80's . Would love to give it a go right now . This performance makes my fingers itch and give me encouragement to go for it !
There's only one word that would accurately describe your cover of this epic song, and that would be... Outstanding! Kuddos my friend, your superb cover brought me to tears! You obviously have some mad talent going on there! 👍😎
The sound of the hammond b3 with a matching leslie speaker is just outstanding!! My dear old dad could play piano and organ so well!! You really do a fantastic job as well!!! I really tried to learn how to play but I couldn't get the hang of it!!! You played that song so well!! It's rather haunting in a very good way!!!!
Couldnt agree more. The rotary speaker (leslie) nails this wonderful piece. Much better than an electronic vibrato as you can hear it speeding up and slowing down as its switched on and off. Brilliant post.
Great song. Love the sound of the Hammond. I have done this song on a huge pipe organ and play it on the piano but its real not for piano. Glad to see more people getting back to the organ. You really do a great job!
He's really playing the Hammond, ... he changes the speed of Leslie, from slow to fast, ...in the chorus part,. really nice!, ..i'm the owner of a Hammond,...and play this organ all the time,..
Oh so good, so very very good. thank you for playing this, and doing such a fine job of it. I'm 69 and have a like-new little 49-key, 40-year old Yamaha MR-1 organ that I play very rarely and very poorly. But I am going to keep plugging at this one song if no other... thanks to you.
Awesome! I only have a 61 keys keyboard, but still having fun playing that classic chord progression. Self-taught, so, I got a long way to go. Guitar is my first instrument since 1963.
+myfz6 Yes there are two of them. One (right) is the Leslie speed control (tremolo/chorale) the other (left) is the external speaker selector (main/echo/ensemble) of which one output goes to the Leslie 122 and the other to a straight guitar amp ( for distortion sounds ;-) )
Excellent work here! Now, let it be known that the comment (OVER 7 years ago) on the sound of today's Hammond organs goes back that far. I can say from years of experience with Hammond organs that if your digital organ has the Hammond logo on it, it is NOT a clone! It is the progression of the instrument and the sound is excellent. I took lessons at a Hammond organ dealer starting in 1966 for 4 years. These organs were all on the showroom floor back in that day and if your of an age when the vintage instruments were all the rage, there was always comparisons among ALL the tonewheel models and how they all sound 'different' from each other - and that conversation still goes on today. And so it goes. Having had an A-100, C3, E-100 and all various Leslies, I have now settled with an SK2 and Studio 12 Leslie, it is a killer rig and NOT just in my opinion. Just bought the optional Hammond pedal board for it and now it is basically a console model. Anyone that owns an XK-3c, SK series or the new 5 model or a full C and B console organ can attest to the sound of these new instruments. not to mention the updated Leslie speakers to go with them. Yeah, they are more expensive then the 'clones', but I won't have any other unless it has that familiar 'H' logo on it (O:

IT IS ONE OF THE SYMBOLIC SONGS OF THE 60-70'S AND IT BRINGS ME VERY PLEASANT AND SAD MEMORIES BUT THE MELODY IS WORTH IT.

It's now August 2023......I'm still "addicted" to hearing this song/music of the late 60's which I first heard over the radio then.
Was there ever an instrument as fantastic as a Hammond B3 and Leslie?! I'm a guitar player, but that's my favorite instrument of all time.

I'm sure they're playing them in Heaven today.
I was raised with a B3 and a grand piano in my living room, and my mom would wait for us kids to go to bed, and start playing almost every night for two hours. I loved it.
And I still have a Hammond B3 with a Leslie sitting in my spare bedroom collecting dust. No one wants them anymore and I'm too old to play much.😢
Give it to me ! 😂

Outstanding! I love the song. I love your version. I miss being in a band with a "real" keyboardist using a "real" organ. Nothing finer than a B-3 and a Leslie.

The 29 down thumbs must be from people who were crying so hard they accidentally clicked the wrong button.
Well said!
Perfect finger work and I love hearing this composition done in a way I have seen Five times Live.
What a great sound the Hammond has. Nicely done.
Obviously amazing playing, but even better to see the pedals played accurately as well! Great Job!

You have amazing talent
It's killing me that you're playing the bass line on the pedal keyboard. That's great!
