====Description==== Out Run (also stylized as OutRun) is an arcade driving and sports video game released by Sega in September 1986. Japanese companies' knowledge of the geography, topiary, climate etc. of America... pretty much the entire West, if we're being honest... was highly limited in 1986. I remember Kenichi Sonoda, before starting work on Gunsmith Cats, personally taking a trip to Chicago just to see what it was like.
@@hawaiidkw1 : I'm assuming that the game is supposed to be a long trip shown in a short time, we even see a sunset in a 5-minute gameplay. It's like when movies do montages, in a certain way.
Coconut Beach, Devil's Canyon, Cloudy Mountain, Wheat Field, Desolation Hill. You can see a pretty sharp contrast in the later stage with the A and B paths; only one or two murderous turns, but narrower roads with lots of obscuring debris. It's pretty impressive not only the sheer number of levels but the types of environments and obstacles Sega put in their 80's games... you could really see it in Flicky, Space Harrier, After Burner, Sega Ninja, Quartet, and of course the other racers. _Splash Wave_ got dinged for copyright? 😕 Who? How? Why/ I mean, I wasn't exactly looking forward to it (it's actually my least favorite track in any Outrun game... just too monotonous), but... dang, never saw that coming.

Does the music change anything at all in gameplay, or is it completely neutral?
I really like what you’re doing here! I must say the best looking stage is still the first one. There’s so much variety in just that one stage.
Congrats on the 7K!
Ah yes, the American Sahara Ruins, just a short drive from the California beachfront!
300 km/h for 5 minutes... It's 25 km. That's not very far, indeed! XD
