Happened to me after a concert, I happened to notice a van getting ready to leave and knew that's where the band was going to exit, waited about 5 minutes and the band walked out. My friend and I shouted something along the lines of "We love you Hayley!" She turned around and double hand-waved us and I about passed out from excitement.

I get that fans are angry or saddened that they've changed their genre and style, but the meaning is still there. Daydreaming, Hate to See Your Heartbreak, Last Hope, Anklebiters, the Interludes, hell the entire album is an example that they still write the kind of music they love. The passion is there. I get this feeling that a lot people complaining just haven't heard the entire album. It's okay to dislike the newer sound, because it IS slightly different, but whining about it doesn't really get you anywhere. I know people have opinions, it just gets tiring seeing every other comment bitching about how different they are now. On a positive note, no words can describe how much I love this song.

Alex Fretz Also if they truly cared about Paramore both as a band and as people, they'd be happy. Both that they are making music that makes them happy and that they love (to paraphrase Taylor, if you like it, who cares and Anklebiters: Why do you care what people think are you hooked up to their leash?. (I am paramore trash officially)) but also that they aren't angry anymore. Their old style of music was great, and I love it with all my heart, but it was all about anger and pain and suffering. They should really just be glad that the band (espec. Hayley, since she is the lyricist) don't have to go through that anymore. I'm sorry I just feel super strongly about people like this, I love Paramore way too much and they've got me through way too much to watch people say that about them.

A lot of people keep saying "This isn't paramore", "I miss the old Paramore", "R.I.P. Paramore", etc. They changed up their style so what? As "fans" of Paramore as you guys like to call yourselves, you should support their new sound and style. Not bash it.
TBH i think its important to make a distinction between fans of the band themselves and fans of their musical output. some are fans of one, some of both, and i think its fine to respect all of them

I seriously CAN NOT WAIT for their new album which should be out this year! I am the same obviously everyones going to enjoy certain albums over others i have to say self titled is one of my fave albums EVER but all of paramores albums are GOLD, self titled is just more PERFECTED as a whole album with a signature sound, in this album you can tell they FOUND their self..and held a signature sound and theme that translates through their whole album. I am also waiting for Melanie Martinez and lana del reys new albums.. i can NOT WAIT to hear where Melanie takes her crybaby sound too and i already love the sound of lana del rey's new albums first single Love ..lanas signature sound NEVER changes but somehow she can change the atmosphere into something that sounds new every album and this time this album sounds retro futuristic. GREAT music to come this year and i am exited..hopefully the songs are actually bangers because TBH alot of artists recently haven't dropped any bangers, i love Katy perry but Slave To The Ry them just isn't that good and RISE was just terrible. If bieber dropped PURPOSE around this time his songs would wipe Katy's and alot of others music straight from the top spots.. What a fantastic album Bieber dropped. It's as if some artists lose their Mojo lately.. Fair enough if an artist seems to have lost their mojo but i think Paramore have successfully transitioned their Mojo hence why they won their first Grammy.
Sorry bit I don't agree, I think that people have a right to say "I'm not personally liking this album" because everyone has a different taste not saying they should cater to that taste, but people should be able to speak their own opinion.

I was being critical and sarcastic, I realize what you described was what was supposed to be in the video, it just didn't exactly come accross that way to me. Sorry!

Been hooked since 2013. I heard about them when their self entitled album came out, I was too young to know their music before then I guess. I'm turning 14, in 2016, so I was 11 when I discovered them. I heard crushcrushcrush and the only exception and misery business on the radio all the time when I was younger, so I guess that's why it was so familiar when I listened to it. Overall paramore is such an underrated band, and just because Jeremy or Josh and Zac left, it doesn't stop them from being paramore.. I'm glad I've discovered them, besides fall out boy the one group I can actually sing every song to. #parafamily

Paramore wasn't even nominated for one grammy for anything on their album, complete bullshit this album is one of the best albums i've ever heard, a album where i love every single song. So UP the grammys for not recognising real unique music and also recognising the AMAZING vocal talent of hayley and how hard she's worked on her voice her her whole career. Nobody sings like she can and nobody has the vocal range control she has.
To tell the truth, I think this one is by far inferior to Brand New Eyes, but it's still a very good album, indeed.
Well now, the establishment only want to promote their own people. Majority of their nominee can't even sing live right.
You're right, but on another hand I don't think that awards are the most important thing they care about. I think indeed that it's a shame that today musical industry is incapable of seeing people who worked extremely hard and put all their heart and soul in a record (any of them), or of rewarding these same people. But like I said, I don't think that it really matters in the end, because as long as there will be loving fans behind them, supporting them from all their heart, they are happy, because thanks to these fans, they can eat at the end of the month (and a lot more of course but you get the meaning), they can live their dream and discover amazing places, meet new people everyday and do something they love as their job. And I think that an award can't bring them that, it might just bring them some respect and aknowledgment from this very music industry that doesn't even understand their music. Anyway. It's just my humble thought about that. No award can replace what you live when you're living your passion everyday and are paid and loved for that. (:

this song is beautiful and when paramore came back in 2013 with their new album, i was a little, "huh?" but still interested. but so many other paramore fans had turned their backs, accusing them of selling out. but i never saw it like that. i saw it as maturing band members creating new music out of different inspirations. they were no longer writing about angst of the youth, and this ironically turned half their fans on them. so sad... this is still real music.

Artists change, grow, and mature in sound and appearance. Paramore stuck closer to their original sound & feel than a lot of bands. But some band members changed, time went forward, people matured. Listeners can like it or leave it. I don't get why people have these weird, negative opinions about the music turning "commercial" or too widely appealing, or for Christ's sake, saying that Hayley's HAIR change was detrimental to their MUSIC.

seriously, what is wrong with you people :/ paramore are still the same band they were in 2005. Still massively talented and Hayley's still an amazing singer. I love the old albums but as a whole album i honestly think this is the best one. All the songs work together so well and honestly if paramore had never changed you'd get fans dissapointed as they always do the same stuff. Hayley is maturing like her music. If you have a major problem with this album then your not a real fan, a real fan would like everything they've done or at least be supportive of it. I think the new albums great

The selftitled album is still my favourite one! I was close to being 18, when this came out, i was studying for final exams and I felt every song. Like Last Hope, Grow Up, Still Into You, Proof, Hate to see you heart break and this one. Daydreaming, daydreaming all the time!

I really hope that one day I will see them too. It all depends if they ever come to my country, Serbia.
If not, I hope I'll get the chance to go to their concert to Vienna, or maybe if they visit Budapest again (which I missed last time because of my exams) and I daydream a lot about how I'm singing a song with Hayley and meeting the rest of Paramore.

I'm a Paramore fan since 2007,and never stopped enjoying their music ever since...Their songs were my soundtrack during school,and are still my soundtrack now that I'm at college...They've just gone where no other pop/punk band has ever dared to go,in terms of music,and it's good to know that people with different ages enjoy their music...

Paramore dies a long time ago, i was a real fan of the punk/rock on paramore, but now the band sounds like pop, the brand new eyes was the last album good of paramore, i see the times of RIOT! and that was the first and best album of paramore!!! without the two farro brothers, the sound of paramore was so shit, sorry to say this but its the truth :/
First of all...RIOT! was the second album...the first was All we know is falling...e.e...Paramore...didn't die...also...they are better than a lot of bands that are right now...maybe the sound of them changed....but the will still be paramore...

Riot was not the first album from Paramore, it was All We Know Is Falling. Clearly you're not a real fan if you've never heard of it. All We Know Is Falling is probably their most rock sounding album, so maybe you should check it out since you prefer their older music.

So Paramore came to San Diego not to long ago and I was so excited when i got to go because I've been a huge fan of them for the past 8 years! So we get in and our seats aren't terrible...but they are pretty close to it. But I was super thankful to just be there! So hello goodbye plays there set and they killed it and so did Metric! So I start begging my best friend to go and get some more food with me before par amore started! Mostly because the guys next to us were jerks. So we head up to get some more mexican food but they were all out so we head back inside and I see they are selling ice cream! Like....HELL YES! So I start saying "Come on Bri lets get some!" And she was like, "No NO! Its cold!" But we go in the line anyways. So as were looking at the flavors two girls come up to us and say, "Hey is it just the two of you?" And we were like, "Yeaaaah?" And they go, "Oh perfect! So we aren't huge fans of Paramour we only came for mMetric! Do you guys want our wristbands to go down to the pit?" And we freak out and get them! So we sprint down to go the pit and get in and that was night I was about 5 feet away from Hayley Williams.
It. Rocked.

This video reminds me so much of when my best friend and I travelled from Brussels to Paris to see Paramore... And the escalator at 0:46 reminds of when I fell with my lugage on an escalator that wasn't even moving and we hadn't even left Brussels! That hurt but I can laugh about it now hahah :D
The new album is great for the current standard of the music industry, but compared to the "paramore standard" the new album is weak. It's not bad, but only a few songs focus and display the strengths of the band, and the beautiful image of a striving but passionate band is gone. Not that their new songs are not passionate, but passion is limited to what the content can handle, and the subjects of their new songs don't have the capacity and potential depth to convey the universal truths that their previous albums did. I support the band in their changes, as it is a crucial process, but I also hope that this would be a matter of their "sharpening" (being perfected as a band). I also hope Hayley regains her sense of her true womanly identity... She's always been beautiful, and I don't understand why she's through phases of strange/immature behavior/dress. Anyway, enough of this long writing! Good day to anyone who read this! ;)
I'm afraid i can't agree. The reason i have always loved Paramore, from the very start, is because the songs spoke to me. They helped me get though the most difficult times in my life. Each and every song they have produced i can relate to, even if when it came out i wasn't a fan. I love Paramore still because listening to all the albums and EPs in a row they tell a story.and that is art. And that story is Paramore. I'm glad their style has change as they have. It shows that they grew, and as the grew they became new. The albums tell the story from the beginning in a garage, the the struggles of relationships, the struggle of Paramore its self, and the renewing of them selves.Its evenin this song Daydreaming " It's not that i won't remember where i'm from, just don't wanna be here no more " Its all written in the songs, you just have to look. Hayley is happy and so is the album... be happy for her. I love paramore

Saw Paramore live in Manchester September 20th, Standing tickets so was close-ish to the front, it was literally like living a dream, just seeing 3 of people who without knowing it have helped through so many bad times in my life and helped me celebrate the good. I owe Hayley, Jeremy, Tom etc. so much more than the mere £30 I payed for the ticket, the best thing was I didn't even feel upset after it was over, I'd just seen my idols live and had many pictures and videos, but more importantly memories...
