Some great feedback from Nick over at Linear Tube Audio. PS - They loved the review and our cause, and looking forward to working with us more!! - "Just a few comments on some details in the review: -Price: $3950 (I think you said $3800) -We normally only ship with one set of tubes. We sent you two sets as a reviewer to try. -We've recently (a month ago) changed our trial policy to be 30 days. We only made a single post about this on IG and changed the wording on our website, and I don't expect you to catch everything we do. -We put "RCA" on the front, because RCA is the connector, coax is a cable/construction type. You can terminate a coax cable with many different types of connectors (e.g. BNC, etc.). We felt this was clearer than coax, especially if we add other coax types in the future, and we liked the symmetry of using all three-letter abbreviations.
Looks like like a great combo of precision and warmth. Still have a great tube mic preamp in my fully digital studio I bring out on occasion to make things smoooood.😁
@@abxaudiophiles absolutely but $4k is on the pricey side for R2R DACs... Holo Audio Cyan is just over $1k and there are a ton of killer R2R dacs in the $2k-$3k range: LAIV Dac for ~$2k, Denafrips Pontus for $2k, Denafrips Venus for $3k, ecc I think a price in the $2k-$3k bracket would be ideal. But hey, just my opinion.
@@abxaudiophiles agreed, I have both the Laiv and Cyan 2. I shelved them both for the Pontus 15th (so much better). Fed by Denafrips Arcas streamer then running into Eigentakt monoblocks, the only thing missing are tuboliscious 6SN7's in the chain.
Tubes like vinyl is making RESURGENCE! I bit the bug and got XDUOO TA-66 tube amp with direct connection wiring, I was really bowled over. Amazing sound quality on a budget. I am currently experimenting on tube rolling. Waiting for adapter/converter 6SL7 to 6N2, hopefully the Psvane Art Collection tube will work. :)

Tube rolling with a DAC. What will they think of next. Like that it’s built in the good old US of A but it’s Out of my price range of 2K max. I Have the Holo Audio Cyan 2 which cost about $1300 US delivered. R2R NOS. Sounds great. Thanks for the video. Rock on!

Amazing! I really love the idea of R2R plus tubes I hope they manage to lower the price in future iterations of the product.

I mean, lower price will just lead to lower returns. They’re already consumer direct. Bout as bang for buck as ya get. ❤️😁☺️☺️

Much for doing this. I’ve been so curious about this DAC and sadly at the moment, there aren’t that many reviews on it.
