Great review! It's interesting that you questioned why they bothered with a v2 when the v1 was so poorly received. In my mind, that's EXACTLY why you try again, and it shows Gateron is willing to grow from their failures (and they succeeded!).
Actually it would have been easier to just make the new product under a new naming instead of a v2 of a failure product. Because people will be more curious and willing to try the new product. So I too agree it's a weird decision they made, and now they need reviews to help gain back trust in this series. Imagine people who bought the first version and we're disappointed,. How likely are they to want to try v2, when the options are countless in the linear switches?
@@IronCan88 Yeah, I get what you're saying -- the first impression for Cap switches was bad, and that biases customers against future Caps to some extent. Got the milky cap v2s and I should say that they are really inconsistent with the factory lube. Also, the stem wobble is great on these, my spacebar is swinging wildly and it's really irritating. Also, without lube they sound so bad.. Scratch is on the next level. I think it's all thanks to the "innovation" in the stem tech. The "cap" on the stem is not smooth inside, it rides on the bottom housing's guide rod on 4 ridges molded inside the cap. So if those ridges are not sufficiently lubed, the switch sounds extremely scratchy and as I said previously, the lube is inconsistent from the factory. Maybe it could be a great switch for some, the sound is unique, really poppy, but I think the Gat Yellow Pro is a way to go. At least the tolerances are really tight and you can experiment with springs on the pros. Cap springs are basically irreplaceable. So, think twice before buying them as your first step into the keyboard hobby.
@@Keybored another thing I think I should mention, if some of your switches have some initial scratch (for me it was 3 of 10) look into the lubing of the stem pole. Since it is thicker, it causes a thockier sound but at the same time causes scratch. The actual stem lubrication was very consistent and smooth otherwise.
@@Keybored If possible, please make a follow up video in this format with the pros added. I love your review and how you compare them relatively to eachother on different factors. Great video!
It’s awesome to see some innovation. I’m hoping that other manufacturers will do the same and maybe eventually they will venture outside of the cherry mx design of switches. Great video.
Its actually quite clever. From a manufacturing perspective, when you enlarge a components, the impact of tolerances are reduced. So the cap is made out of POM and it gets thinner towards the bottom. It makes the stem really wobbly, especially when it's just pressed. So I think it's really more about saving the cost, there really are less plastic used in each switch.
@@TheMrInadecuada it can be both. The tolerances are much tighter than any other switch. For example the actuation is +/- 10g on the caps, whereas it's +/- 15 on all other gateron switches, including high end switches like inks. That makes the switches much, much more consistent.
@@TheMrInadecuada I also think the stem wobble issue was a 1st gen problem that's been fixed in v2. "Teething problems" inevitably occurs with all chinese switches - whether it's gateron or Kalih - as they always seem to rush new products and designs out without fully qcing and testing them. Think ink black leafs falling out or box stems breaking keycaps.
Hi Jimmy! Thanks for stopping by brother. I remember not liking the Cap v1 and kind of putting them away for good, but V2 is actually not bad! Their off center smoothness could be improved, but overall, center smoothness and the sound is so close to the inks for a fraction of the price!
Loved the informative vid! I have gat black inks for my 60%, but really was not looking forward to buying another 80-90 for a 75%. This looks like a really good alternative
The Gateron Cap V1 Gold with the Gateron Cap V1 Milky Stem removes the scratch and is actually really nice with the same deep sound. I will have to try the V2's. Thanks for the info!
If you're going just for the sound, the Cap V2 is actually really close to it! The Ink Blacks are smoother in off-center pushes, but if that doesn't matter too much, it doesn't offer too much more it seems
Excellent content as always, cap switches definitely seem like a good bang for your buck. Is it still worth the price increase for the inks if you have the budget for it?
Hmm... I think if you have the budget for it, you get the corner smoothness improvement with the Inks! Personally, I think I like the sound of the Cap V2s because they have more pop than the inks. But off center presses do feel better with inks. So if you focus on sound, then the Cap V2s and if you care more about smoothness, then inks!
Wow, pretty lit switch to be honest. From this review, it seems like it's a great choice for those that want to have a good price, smoothness and full/deep sound within their switches. To be honest I think this would be even better than the Ink in some regards (other than the price)... It might work better than the Inks do with a plastic (KBD 67 Lite) board for those like me that dislike the fact inks are a bit too muted/low pitched.
:) I think the cap switches are actually a very good choice for the price. Great sound, smooth center operation, and does pair up well with the kbd67 lite
So many switches these days. Glad we got alot of new players in the market like ktt and tecsee. Just ordered some akkos to test out some budget options. I actually kinda liked the milky gat caps. Good for a cheap thokky options that already decent lubed.
You can never go wrong with milky gats of any kind! But it was really good to see gateron make improvements over the generation. And I do love that there are so many different options now!
when i read the title i thought "cap" but after the watching through the video i thought "need to get the caps" dad jokes aside this was an awesome video, super helpful. i think i'll have to pick some of these up
I was one of the crowds that tried the Cap v1's, didn't know they came out with v2's, and it sounds absolute amazeballs!! Thanks for the thorough video! Was wondering how you procured them? The official Gateron Taobao store did not explicitly list Cap v2 yellows (only Cap v2 browns).
I love that they made the Cap V2 and how close they sound to the black inks. I'm new to this hobby so any cheap alternatives to getting that nice deep thock is always appreciated. Also that set up for your switches looks really clean where did you get it? I would love to have that as well!
The wall setup is from Ikea! I believe it's the skadis peg board organizer? The Cap V2 are amazing, and so are the new pro yellows and even the Keychron Phantom Red with a spring swap!
Awesome review, the only one that cover the V2 caps in depth. EDIT: Now that I look at it again, the central stick of the botton house shouldn't touch anything at all. The top of the cylinder just acts as botton of the keypress. The only thing touching is the bottom housing sliders, as in any other normal switch. Then I don't understand the purpose of it... It's only to let air flow? Does that have some impact on friction? Or is just an easier way to control acustics?
I personally found cap v1s to sound scratchy but were actually quite smooth in feel. They also have a unique muted sound profile, outside of the scratch. From my batch, I preferred the v1 milky cap switches to the golden. v1 caps were also one of the first major switches to introduce these big springs. Overall, v1 caps were quite underrated
They were so unique when gateron released them, that people were probably expecting so much! But the V2s gateron really made some good improvements for sure :)
I just ordered the ks3 yellow milky pro, starting to think i should have ordered these now, but we'll see! These are my first purchase if i don't like the yellow milky pros
At 05:20 with 4 different sound tests, across 2 different switches, lubed and all, how is your keyboard at the same place. Awesome stuff man. Awesome!!!
@@unkkit151 sure it is. What I assumed is all the switches were changed. Typically the before & after is after the whole process .. but this most likely is all these variations are ready. Still, impressive, the seamless video cut work.
I was skeptical, but I have to concur after watching your video. I have some V1's and liked the sound and stable travel feeling, but that was about it. There is a logic to the egg-crate packaging, acrylic over-built version aside - these little guys leak oil, so better onto the bottom of a package than all over each-other. I keep all my switches in jars kind of like yours - except for my Caps.
Oooh you are very right about that! I think going with the thicker lube like Krytox 205 really helps to control it better, since the factory stuff is so light and can come out of the little holes
I've used Yellow V! for a 7 months, and I lubed and filmed with Krytox 205g0 + 105 and TX films. It was a little bit scratchy, but so far so good for my experience Sorry if my grammar skill still bad, I'm still learning it
Compare these to the gateron pro yellow switches! very similar and also I would definitely go over these stock rather than cap v1 as they're prelubed and have longer springs. More similar to standard gateron switch though, just prelubed and tighter tolerances. def would like to see a comparison
While I do like this review, I feel like PE foam in boards for sound tests is really misleading. It's hard to find switches that don't sound really similar in a PE foam board. Now that I have Cap v2 Gold and Gat Black Inks, there's definitely a bigger difference in the switch sound than this video portrays. Still amazing production quality as always!
Great review/comparison. I have the Milky Cap V2 and Ink Black V2s and it's hard to tell the difference sound-wise unless you really pay attention. The Cap V2s sound and feel quite good out of the box. Stock Cap V2s actually sound a lot better to me than stock Ink V2s (changed drastically for me lubed/filmed). The off-center smoothness is definitely better on the Inks, which have a more noticeable "gliding" feeling. But unless you type with 1-2 fingers very slowly, the Cap V2s are smooth enough I don't feel much of a difference typing regularly. In hindsight, the Inks don't even seem worth the 2.5x cost. If the Inks had the smoothness of a JWK or Everglide Aqua King then maybe...
Thanks for doing this! Really informative :) May I ask, is there a significant difference between the stock and lubed Cap switch? Am just thinking to just use em stock
The stock is actually very very usable in my opinion. The lubing did make them feel tiny bit more smooth and the filming helped to make the overall housing tight and lower pitched in my opinion
I personally found that the cap v2's sounded more pop (like popcorn, fits the colors hehe) than the inks, therefore higher pitched. And you mentioned earlier that the milkys sound really close to the inks which doesn't add up to the scaling at ~11:25. Except the difference is so minor that the scale had to be spread apart. Meanin blue switches would be about 2km further to the right towards "high". I've been using milky blacks for a good half year now and I think that my keycaps make more noise than the switch itself.
Haha, I do have a bag of the browns also. You know... if you don't mind the loose tactility of the browns, the cap browns are actually very smooth and have similar sound as the yellow... so they're actually not bad lol
@@Keybored I’ve always been team linear and been thinking about dabbling in some browns, may check out the cap browns on a 60% build or something and see how i like them.
i think its all preference in the end. me for example i did like the sound profile of my gateron inks but i for some reason did not fully like their feel. its hard to explain but they kind of feel like they sound. a little muted almost mushy on bottom out at times. i switches over to alpacas and i love them way more in every way. they are more consistent for me and they just feel way more snappier.
This was a great video as I was planning to build my first keyboard with inks V2 but now I will definitely go for these. Do you have any idea if these will restock at some point since they are currently sold out?
I just got a set of Cap V2 Milky Yellow's with new upper housing like that found in the Oil Kings and the Ink V2 Box. Have you seen that before? Do you think that would improve stem wobble due to the better tolerance from the new mold?
Great vid! Thank you, it helped a lot to make a choice on which switches to buy :) What thickness of film have you used for cap v2 golden yellow and which one would you recommend? Thanks in advance!
Kinda late but I would recommend thin PC material film around 1.25 - 1.3mm for this switch. If you like a thicker one, I would suggest film made by Deskey.
Got two boxes of them/ After gateron browns they do feel the same but without any click. Maybe even more like gateron reds or im just not getting it at all.
Got any info on those switch holders? I dont use that many switches, but theyd be sick for other stuff. ALSO, everything you touch is golden. Going to need the secret on that as well =P
Great Video, it is a super good review. Do you think the v2 gold caps worth the premium over the v2 milky caps? Have you ever have experience with the Gateron yellow pro too?
Hmm... I think the gold is slightly more deeper than the milky, but do cost much more... If you don't mind that slight difference in sound, I would go with milky
I think if you have gateron yellows, it'll be just a minor upgrade in sound. I think it might be worthwhile to consider them for the future, unless you want to get that deep ink sound for much lower price!
:) I was originally planning to do that, but the only chinese image of the change was the other way... V2 and V1 so I was forced to keep it in that order so that there is no confusion... haha
Very interesting. I've got some CAP Milky Yellow switches that I added to an order to get it to qualify for free shipping, but I think they might be V1. Is the acrylic tray with cover only a V1 thing? Also, keep doing the charts. Since sound tests and that vary so much from content creator to content creator, the perceived performance relative to other switches is super important.
Hi Ragnorok64! If they come in a acrylic case, they may be V1. From what I was told the V2 stopped coming inside those fancy cases... looks like gateron put the money where it needed to go lol
@@Keybored I see. Well I guess they will continue to hang out in my Box O' Switches then, and I'll continue to ignore that spending like $30ish dollars on switches I may never use to avoid like$18 of shipping was a massive logical fallacy. I'll just keep telling myself it was a good deal...
pls reply, when lubing the gateron cap v2 switches, where in it do you lube? like just the springs, or do you lube it fully like the bottom housing sliders, stem, and etc. and do you wipe off the factory lube or just lube over it? pls reply!
Do you have the links to the wall mounts that you have there with the switch containers? I'd like to organize mine as similarly as yours! I especially like the plants at the top
Very helpful comparison video, it has me sold on getting the CAP V2 Milkys but elboard is sold out! Are there any other places you might recommend buying CAP V2 Milkys from it looks like divinikey is also sold out.
I think Elboard may be the only US based proxy. However, I reached out to them and they said more are on order and should be in stock again next week or so
I actually did apply it to this build, but it really didn't do much so I ended up removing it. I think the PE foam mod just overpowers it and I couldn't hear much of a difference... just made the case really tight haha
A lot of interest in these so I asked the vendor and he said from since it was sold out last week, he placed additional orders and should be available in 2 weeks... so next week!
Looks like the ink blacks were not filmed (please correct me if I am wrong) and the cap v2s were filmed. I listened real carefully and was impressed with the gat caps indeed but the ink blacks still sounded a little better (imo).
Is the clack on bottom out the inverted top stem hitting the bottom housing? I typically like long stems, but the thocky sound profile from these switches was really nice!
Since the Cap V2 is a bit different from a normal MX-style switches, do you have any lubing tips for this switch? And I also heard that the Cap V2 also have some factory lube. Did you wipe it off or just lube over them?
I would lube it the same was as the other MX style switches! The proper method will be to wipe off some of the factory lube and apply the krytox, etc. But I just did mine over it and still turned out ok... I know I'm lazy lol
I just got my milky cap v2, I lubed them with krytox 205g but they still sound scratchy, I tried to add a lot of lube to them and it still didn't fix it. I wouldn't recommend this switch. I'll go back to my akko jelly black which are cheaper and better in my opinion lmao
That's weird, I think it's probably depends on the batches like Gateron Ink Black. I'm currently using Cap Milky V2 too and they are super smooth in stock.
awesome vid as always! I was just curious whether or not it is worth it to lube and/or film these switches? I have so far lubed and filmed 2 sets of switches and I'm getting a bit tired of it hehe
I have both cap v2 yellow and gat yellow and the gat yellow feels smoother to me (both lubed with 205g0). I think it’s because of the looser housing on the gat yellow.
OK ngl, I do like the sound but I do prefer the ink black visual look for most of my boards. That being said, I do plan on building an Evangelion UNIT 00 board and originally pre ordered a batch of JWK ev-00 switches. Starting to think maybe this is the better typing experience considering all my other Eva boards are JWK recolours.
And what about the milky cap yellows? I remember those being very good for the price since they are quite cheaper yet pretty similar to the cap gold ones
What switch do you recommend that has like a poppy sound? I have the tofu75 with brass plate and eva case foam (i dont have a pcb foam, you recommend that i get one?).
Where can I find those product descriptions online? I ordered cap yellows but I'm not sure if I received v1 or v2. I got the acrylic case, and I think the housing shaped look like the left side in the product description photos. So I think I received v1 :(

The wall setup is from Ikea! I believe it's the skadis peg board organizer? The Cap V2 are amazing, and so are the new pro yellows and even the Keychron Phantom Red with a spring swap!
@@Keybored more things that I need to look into. Thanks Scott!
Very nice video as always
Thank you Elias! Thank you for the support always!
Or is just an easier way to control acustics?
they mention it should affect acoustics somewhere i've read
I personally found cap v1s to sound scratchy but were actually quite smooth in feel. They also have a unique muted sound profile, outside of the scratch. From my batch, I preferred the v1 milky cap switches to the golden. v1 caps were also one of the first major switches to introduce these big springs. Overall, v1 caps were quite underrated
They were so unique when gateron released them, that people were probably expecting so much! But the V2s gateron really made some good improvements for sure :)
great review!
Thank you so mo!
I just ordered the ks3 yellow milky pro, starting to think i should have ordered these now, but we'll see! These are my first purchase if i don't like the yellow milky pros
Really useful info!
Thank you!
At 05:20 with 4 different sound tests, across 2 different switches, lubed and all, how is your keyboard at the same place. Awesome stuff man. Awesome!!!
It’s pretty easy to swap out switches without moving your keyboard right?
@@unkkit151 sure it is. What I assumed is all the switches were changed. Typically the before & after is after the whole process .. but this most likely is all these variations are ready. Still, impressive, the seamless video cut work.
Hey Scott, great video as always! Thank you!
I'm looking to get the exact pegboard you have right now, nay I ask where you got it from?
Hi Tremolo! The pegboard is from Ikea! They have various accessories for it!
@@Keybored Thank you so much! Appreciate your dedication to your content and your viewers' comments bro, keep doing what you're doing!
Very exciting sunshine switch ^^
Sunshine, egg yolk for sure haha
Do Gateron Cap V2 have interference on Northfacing LEDs on Cherry MX keycaps?
The factory lubed cap v2s actually the same if not better than the lubed/filmed. nice deeper sound. thoccier
Glad to hear the stocks work out well for you!
I've used Yellow V! for a 7 months, and I lubed and filmed with Krytox 205g0 + 105 and TX films. It was a little bit scratchy, but so far so good for my experience
Sorry if my grammar skill still bad, I'm still learning it
You're grammar is fine! Once you wear them in a bit, do they get smoother?
@@Keybored yep, It was
Where did you get your switches display on your wall??? Looks amazing
Compare these to the gateron pro yellow switches! very similar and also I would definitely go over these stock rather than cap v1 as they're prelubed and have longer springs. More similar to standard gateron switch though, just prelubed and tighter tolerances. def would like to see a comparison
Yup! I will buy a batch of those! Heard great things about them
This was the exact fking thing I was searching for thx brooo
No problem! I hope it helped! I was told there will be more in stock by next week
@@Keybored thx man I love ur videos
While I do like this review, I feel like PE foam in boards for sound tests is really misleading. It's hard to find switches that don't sound really similar in a PE foam board. Now that I have Cap v2 Gold and Gat Black Inks, there's definitely a bigger difference in the switch sound than this video portrays.
Still amazing production quality as always!
I was about to buy gateron yellows for my first build ever and this convinced me to get the cap v2 milky :o
Can't go wrong with either!
I am daily driving the v2s and they are amazing
These are such a hidden secret haha
I'm using cherry profile keycaps right now with north facing pcb, will there be any interference if I used the gateron cap switches
Hmm... I haven't tested this but I'll check it out!
Ink blacks are just the depressed older brother of the cap v2 lol. I personally enjoy the sound signature of the cap v2s.
:) Cap V2s are so deep and poppy!
very interesting, might get some of them to try out
:) worth a try! They were surprising to me with their sound and overall performance
Awesome video! But does CAP v2 interfere with Cherry Profile keycaps?
Yo the v2s sound niceee!!
Hi Holly Poon! The V2s do have a very deep thocky sound! Very close to ink blacks for fraction of the price!
Yup! the inks are no good stock lol. They NEED lube and film to become the great inks that everyone loves!
Thanks for doing this! Really informative :)
May I ask, is there a significant difference between the stock and lubed Cap switch? Am just thinking to just use em stock
The stock is actually very very usable in my opinion. The lubing did make them feel tiny bit more smooth and the filming helped to make the overall housing tight and lower pitched in my opinion
@@Keybored please could you share which is lighter to touch? stock, pro or cat?
I personally found that the cap v2's sounded more pop (like popcorn, fits the colors hehe) than the inks, therefore higher pitched.
And you mentioned earlier that the milkys sound really close to the inks which doesn't add up to the scaling at ~11:25. Except the difference is so minor that the scale had to be spread apart. Meanin blue switches would be about 2km further to the right towards "high".
I've been using milky blacks for a good half year now and I think that my keycaps make more noise than the switch itself.
There is a difference between normal Milkys and cap Milkys right?
Or have I been looking at the same switches the whole time
Yup! Different from the Milky and Cap milky and Cap V2 Milky :)
Great review. You should do this with the golden cap browns.
:) Definitely a hobby of preference!
This was a great video as I was planning to build my first keyboard with inks V2 but now I will definitely go for these. Do you have any idea if these will restock at some point since they are currently sold out?
Oooh didn't know they were sold out! Let me try reaching out to the vendor and ask!
@@Keybored Thanks!
4:07 the description in the right bottom of the video, is the left housing V2 and right V1? Cuz I can't read Chinease
Why wasn't Ink V2's used in this comparison or was it?
It was :)
It has a long pole so it doesn’t have keycap interference with cherry profile and thicc keycap?
Got two boxes of them/ After gateron browns they do feel the same but without any click.
Maybe even more like gateron reds or im just not getting it at all.
Nice
Thank you!
Got any info on those switch holders? I dont use that many switches, but theyd be sick for other stuff.
ALSO, everything you touch is golden. Going to need the secret on that as well =P
Yup! It's the Ikea Pegboard organizer system... Skadis I believe
@@Keybored thanks for your reply, again, excellent work
I just picked up these switches but the brown variant. Does anyone know of a double stage long spring that fits with this? Or am I stuck with tx?
Damn, they sound amazing! Though, are they worth the upgrade from gateron yellows?
I think if you have gateron yellows, it'll be just a minor upgrade in sound. I think it might be worthwhile to consider them for the future, unless you want to get that deep ink sound for much lower price!
@@Keybored thanks for your answer, your videos are absolutely amazing!
If you lube the milky yellow, it becomes a killer switch. 12:10
Milky yellows have always been a great switch!
Since most people read from left to right, it might be better to put the before(v1) on the left instead
I need to know where you got your storage system! Great video!
Looks like Skadis from Ikea to me
Yup! Ikea pegboard system skadis
im really late but could i ask is there inteference with north fscing leds with these switches?
pls reply, when lubing the gateron cap v2 switches, where in it do you lube? like just the springs, or do you lube it fully like the bottom housing sliders, stem, and etc. and do you wipe off the factory lube or just lube over it? pls reply!
Lube it like any other switch! I lubed right over the factory lube because I was too lazy lol
This Gateron Golden Cap V2 sounds so good for me. Thinking to buy the Durock l7 but Im choosing between this two.
Check out my new video in the akko mod 003! I put these in that board!
@@Keybored yey watched it already, sounds really good for my ears, did you use film for this switches?
aaa why'd i have to see this right after ordering my milky yellows
same, but the housing changes on these switches are the same on the milky yellows so it’s not that big of a difference
The milky yellows are a great switch so no problem!
What is that rack that you put your switches in at the start and end of the video called?
It's the Ikea pegboard organizer system. I believe the skadis
Planning to get this switch for my current board. Do you think this pairs better with what plate material? POM, Polycarb? Fr4?
Do you have the links to the wall mounts that you have there with the switch containers? I'd like to organize mine as similarly as yours! I especially like the plants at the top
It's the ikea skadis pegboard!
Very helpful comparison video, it has me sold on getting the CAP V2 Milkys but elboard is sold out! Are there any other places you might recommend buying CAP V2 Milkys from it looks like divinikey is also sold out.
I think Elboard may be the only US based proxy. However, I reached out to them and they said more are on order and should be in stock again next week or so
Would love to see you do a video of the tape mod on the 67 lite!
I actually did apply it to this build, but it really didn't do much so I ended up removing it. I think the PE foam mod just overpowers it and I couldn't hear much of a difference... just made the case really tight haha
Sold out.. everywhere. Where the hell does a brother need to go to find a bag of these?
A lot of interest in these so I asked the vendor and he said from since it was sold out last week, he placed additional orders and should be available in 2 weeks... so next week!
Looks like the ink blacks were not filmed (please correct me if I am wrong) and the cap v2s were filmed. I listened real carefully and was impressed with the gat caps indeed but the ink blacks still sounded a little better (imo).
The Ink blacks were filmed as well :) TX Film .125mm :)
Is the clack on bottom out the inverted top stem hitting the bottom housing? I typically like long stems, but the thocky sound profile from these switches was really nice!
I think the opening and how the shape is really helps to carry the sound!
I lubed and filmed them and I think it does make it worthwhile! But these are definitely very usable stock
oh ok cool! great to know :)
also, would you happen to know if they are in stock anywhere? I cant seem to find the v2's in stock :/
I have both cap v2 yellow and gat yellow and the gat yellow feels smoother to me (both lubed with 205g0). I think it’s because of the looser housing on the gat yellow.
That could give the impression!
The eva switches are very nice too! And the ink black visuals are unmatched I agree
THE THOCCCCC
Yup! For much less money!
I may have missed in previous videos, but what are the pegboard containers you have for your switches at 0:07?
It's the Ikea pegboard organization system! Skadis I believe
Do you think that filming the Cap V2s are worth it?
I have mine filmed and I feel that it doesn't change it soooo much, but it did (at least in my mind haha) a little bit.
What springs did you swap? I am confused of which one to use, the 14mm or 15mm?
I left the springs stock, but it can take the TX springs. The long ones
Ink Black clearly sounds better, but I can live with the prices different of the Gold.
Gateron Cap V2 are really underrated after V1 i think
I agree! I dismissed them too until people pointed them out saying they're actually decent now
Just wondering what do you use to hold the switches (at the start) it looks really cool!
It's the Ikea Skadis pegboard organizer!
And what about the milky cap yellows? I remember those being very good for the price since they are quite cheaper yet pretty similar to the cap gold ones
Milky Cap V2 Yellows are outstanding value!
What switch do you recommend that has like a poppy sound? I have the tofu75 with brass plate and eva case foam (i dont have a pcb foam, you recommend that i get one?).
I think the Cap v2s are actually very poppy. Or you can do the PE foam mod and it makes everything poppy :)
@@KeyboredThank you!!
Where can I find those product descriptions online? I ordered cap yellows but I'm not sure if I received v1 or v2. I got the acrylic case, and I think the housing shaped look like the left side in the product description photos. So I think I received v1 :(
Sorry to hear that! Yeah, I wish that Gateron did a better job of making the differences a bit more noticeable!
Just curious, what variant of Gateron Yellows is the most clacky? I had KS-3 before and it's thocky. Yes, I do like that high-pitch goodness.
I believe the clear PC tops :)
are there any two stage springs i can swap with these?
