Ya, I love these & the black pair that came out yesterday but I feel like Nike missed the mark on the prices. At $120-$130 I think both pairs would have sold out instantly. I know that $20-$30 isn’t a massive difference but definitely too much for a retro like this (in my opinion)
@@DeRobez I agree. I just went to the Nike store to return an item and I asked about these. They had one pair and I got them for 30% off. With the return I paid about $65 total. Only bad thing is that it is missing the top of the box.
I think Nike will make those changes based off feedback since the OG’s are the “first child” and not always perfect. I could imagine having that slight angle on retros like that creates more lockdown and feels better on the heels/achilles based off most humans foot shaped
@quintonm.5314 I totally get that too, great point. I think in the description on heritage etc snkrs stories they could elaborate on that and explain the whys etc when making retro changes. People would appreciate that if it's an actual improvement performance wise.
The thing nobody has talked about is how bully the 2024 versions are for these and the ultra’s, more so when on feet. For reference I put on my 2013’s and they wear better.
The review i was looking for. I ordered the new ones and just ran into them at a sneakershop and was kinda bummed how bad the new air sole looks. Also the swoosh looks so glossy gold it makes the shoe look cheap and ugly imo. They arrive this week not sure if i will keep them.
These are not selling aswell as the ultramarines, ive doubled up on both, i prefer the Concords though, and may get a 3rd as Nike will probably release these again in 10 years time 🙄 Would be nice if you could scan that booklet and upload the scans 👍
The gold on the swoosh reminds me of when adidas retroed the Rivalry in 2019 in the gold color way. They went and made it look aged and made the gold stripes green to mimic that green swoosh. Adidas puts so much effort into their retros and they go nowhere with the general public unfortunately.
I just noticed this just came out minutes ago, I literally just searched ‘2024 180 concord comparison’🤣. I had seen a couple comparisons and this gives a good full picture, I got the new ones the day they came out recently and I thought they looked great, I just remember Jordan wearing these because my first Jordan’s were Jordan 6 infrareds when I was like 6-7 or something and liked them so much I bought 6 Maroons too with Christmas money ( It seemed like I had to have been one of the only kids who bought maroons but I liked them best after the infrareds) , I always paid attention to what he wore from then on and I remembered I was so disappointed with the Jordan 7’s ( I thought they were just lame 6’s with no air 🤣), that when I seen these the very next year during the 92 Olympics I wanted to get a pair, Jordan wearing running sneakers while balling, that was awesome but couldn’t find a pair in kid size that would fit me so I was pumped to finally get a pair that is a nice representation of the original, if not better.
@g.3921 too funny, you found the video just in time! A very nice retro overall, my only gripe is the shade of concord used, looks more royal blue unfortunately. They got it right in the past with retro in 2013, but here we are.. Jordan Brand does the same thing with details from release to release. I love the 6s, my favorite the black infrared 6.. Christmas '91. 7s were cool but not as cool as the 6s of course..🤣 I just always itched to see MJ playing in the newest model and colorway hoping for visible air again.. the rest is history. Luckily, I saw him and the Bulls play live in 92 playoffs VS NY. Either way, the 7s will always be special to me especially playoffs.
@@ogorbust1697 Oh that’s awesome, some think that was their best team in 92 and yea I thought the Raptor 7’s were kind of cool, I think the Cardinal’s and Bordeaux’s were released first which soured me to them. Yea I went to his last game as a Bull at the new Fleet Center which had just opened after they knocked the Boston Garden, then I went to his last game as a Wizard, my dad was a big Celtics fan, worshiped Bird obviously( who I also seen live as a kid) , then I caddied for him just outside Boston at Brae Burn country club when he was in town for the Ryder Cup and got him to sign a couple things and got his golf balls and unsmoked cigar he left on the golf cart, the foursome he played in was himself, John Elway, Mario Lemieux and Cam Neely ( I challenge anyone to come up with a better professional sports representative golf foursome they witnessed🤣) so growing up in a city that he visited somewhat frequently we did cross paths 🤣.
@technicplay8959 didn't have a pair back then, typically though polyurethane was softer back in the day. Also the air units had not so environmentally friendly gases. Totally different process now
The concord coloring almost being royal blue is disappointing , def won’t pay full price. Specially after the quality on the pair of ultramarine colorway Nike sent me.
Hi. Great to have such a comparison, thanks. It seems you are lucky with your 2024: the mesh is not "crumpled". On my Ultramarine, it was fully crumpled, so I send back them. And on my Concord, it is more acceptable, but crumpled too...🥲
Waiting for these to go on sale. They’re still available in most sizes.

Why is it so difficult for Nike to get the heels on their retro's correct? Is it really that difficult to straighten the heel?
Indeed, pretty clear here the midsole and upper heavily angled where og straight as an arrow. Kinda like standard aj 1s vs the OG 85s

How Is the cushioning compare to the OG?

I had the OG in 92 and these 2024. Feel almost the same - they are hard shoes.
A lot of people complaining on the Air unit is hard, but the og was encapsulated on the OG as well. Midsoles on retros just a bit thicker.
