Is this the fastest Game of Thrones reactions ever?. It's been what 2 weeks and you're already almost done season 1! I'm here for it anyway keep them coming
She is hooked. What is crazy is that the series just keeps getting better and better and better. To see her this invested already, man is her mind going to be blown when all of the main players, many of which she hasn't been introduced to yet, are past the introductory character-building stage and the multiple storylines begin to unfold in earnest.
Primarily b/c the video cuts are so short so much is being left on the edit floor. If I had 1 request it's to make these a little longer. Too much is being left out. Another 10 min long per episode.
The golden crown scene is in my top ten GoT scenes, and the first time I saw it I jumped up and yelled and clapped in absolute glee! Zero guilt about it 😂😂😂
Im glad you caught the hair thing. They have been hinting at it all season. In the second episode Circe talks to Cat Stark about her first baby that died and mentions his black hair. In a later episode the king complains about "being surrounded by all these golden haired lannisters".
Oh, Amber honey ... we have ALL seriously questioned our morals throughout this entire series (and beyond!). But just go with it! It's only fiction, and you are still the same sweet and lovely person!
Well, _mostly_ fiction. After all, GRRM very intentionally references many aspects (some more directly than others) of our real history in his fictional world. Are we really so removed from it, even by the years? 😉
@@0okamino I disagree, I'm afraid - this IS a work of fiction, regardless of how much reference to real events is used. The characters are all entirely fictional, and Amber questioning her morals was based on her response to a fictional character's demise. If an actual, real person was given such a 'golden crown' I don't for a second imagine that Amber - or any of us - would applaud it or feel any sense of satisfaction from it, no matter how much of an obnoxious turd they were! 😜 I do think we need to keep the line drawn between fiction and reality, even if there are some 'lessons' to be learned from fiction ... just my view, obviously.
Sometimes entertainment is just entertainment, but... 'Only' fiction has historical been very effective in moving people deeply, and at times helping to uncover what's often buried deep within our hearts. It's troubling to see people in the age of mass media have forgotten this; we have learned to react to the most shocking and horrifying things onscreen, often stirred to deep emotions of empathy, horror, desire for justice, as well as outright bloodthirst for vengeance, and learned to cope with it all by laughing it off as mere entertainment rather than ask hard questions of why we have those reactions. George RR Martin, JRR Tolkien, and other authors were effective writers because they struggled to understood real horrors (and goodness) at a deeper level even while writing fiction, which is why their works hit harder than modern writers who often churn out corporate content that stimulate just the right emotions to sell an entertainment product. I do believe some moments in GoT are so over the top that they actually lose serious impact, but still... there are moments in this story that merit pausing to wonder at what might be buried in our own hearts, to wonder at humanity's capacity for horrors. Which takes honesty and courage. The truth is we're all human, and at times we struggle with some dark impulses, some of which are brought out into the open much more easily than we usually like to tell ourselves; the ability of stories to subtly bring these questions to the surface is part of what makes them powerful. The struggles of GoT characters hit home (when they work, i.e. not so much when writing quality drops off), because they resonate with some deep, real, and sometimes dark truths in our hearts. The danger in watching something as gripping as GoT, the danger in presenting it (and consuming it) as mass media entertainment (that forks in a fortune btw), is that we walk away from it all with no self examination or reflection, to move on to the next bit of titillating entertainment. I very much appreciate Amber's comment, that she was able to voice her question about her own morality even for a brief moment - a moment of awareness and honesty that's rare in youtube videos.
I'm not sure how far ahead you are, but you asked why Lysa has power. Here's a little help. There are Seven Kingdoms, but spread across 9 regions. Each kingdom has many, many houses with a Lord or Lady in charge of each house. However, each kingdom has a Lord (Lady) Paramount who rules the entire region. As of this point in the story, Lysa is in charge of The Vale (which is located in the Erie) The others are: North- Starks Iron Islands- Greyjoys Riverlands- Tullys Westerlands- Lannisters Stormlands- Baratheons The Reach- Tyrells Dorne- Martels Crownlands- whoever is the King on the Iron Throne
the character of viserys is actually a lot more deep and heart breaking and i wish the show would have delved into it more. I hate him, but i also understand him. He was just a boy when his entire family was murdered and his mother died in child birth leaving him trying to take care of this child while running from Roberts assassins, having to live on the streets and rely on the hospitality of others. He even had to sell his mothers crown which was said to be when the final happiness left the so called "Begger KIng" as he was later coined. While many of his ancestors were said to be "mad" most of them werent born that way, they were traumatized with grief. with even as gross as he is to dany, she literally pretty much grew up just assuming that she would probably end up marrying him because thats what their family does, bleck. While i cant stand VIserys, i deeply understand him.
Very true! While the sympathetic side of his backstory does lend some sadness to the affair of his final unraveling, it’s a reason which can be understood, and not a justification for his behavior.
My favorite trivia from this episode is that the fake horse heart Emilia Clarke was eating was made of a gummi substance she says didn't taste that bad, but it was really sticky and got all over and she actually got stuck to the toilet-seat during a bathroom break and needed to be rescued 😂😂😂
The guy that volunteered to fight for Tyrian is the same guy that gave up his room at the inn for him and then traveled with them to the Eyrie and helped fight the hills tribes before they reached the Eyrie.
It's not clear from the show, but "Here I Stand" are the house words of House Mormont, so when Jorah repeats them to Viserys, he's reminding them that standing (i.e. not running) is whay his whole house does. Lysa rule in the Eyrie because her late husband, John Arryn, was Lord Of the Eyrie as well as Hand Of The King. That means her son Robin is actually Lord of The Eyrie now, but since he's under-age, she rules for him as regent until he gets to 14(?) years old.
ahh nice, loving the channel, but if there was one show i wish your old man would join you on, it would be this one, such a good show to watch with someone
It's so funny to see you reacting to these characters as we all did, we all had the same favourites, and we all despised the same villians, and giggled and cheered at the same points, now that is great storytelling. Enjoy it as we enjoy it all again with you.😊
Loving your watch thru! I do think you didn't catch how crucial it was when Danyareas allowed her husband to essentially murder her own brother. Of course we all hated him BUT it was still HER OWN FLESH/BLOOD brother. Siblings fight but never allow that. Her approval showed she is now 100% Dothraki aligned, so much so her own brother was sacrificed.
I adore your reaction to Viscery's getting his golden crown! It perfectly mirrored my own - mouth agape and joy in my heart. Love watching you watch this show and, believe me, the best is yet to come...
I am loving the frequency of these reactions, Amber!! And I am loving how much you are getting totally addicted, just like all of us. This is turning into a great journey! 💗💗
What’s more, that’s just one of several gold mines which it could have been built on top of in the Westerlands. I guess that was the one with the best oceanside view.
Look at Amber just giddy over Viscerys getting scald to death. LOL! Watching this series will turn you into a blood thirsty masochist. Welcome to the crazy world of Game of Thrones! 😂
The fantastic thing about shows like this is that they make you think, compare, refigure, and all without actually doing those things or encouraging others to do those things. It's one of those ways we learn and grow. You might question your morals but it's the doing of these things or pushing people to do these things that would put you on the spot.
You're the best Amber! I've said it before, I watch the full length with you and then these posts! LOVE the way you edited this.. seeing the show in the bigger format! It's hard not to despise some of these characters and be happy when they meet their date, that they deserve!! ❤❤❤❤
So happy you are getting as addicted as the rest of us! I am like you, I waited until the series finished completely before watching. I cannot imagine waiting YEARS to find out how this all works out. I am doing the same with House of the Dragon... waiting impatiently lol.
Oh I'm sure there will be other things you will delight in and be thinking "is it OK that I loved this?" It's OK ....we were all there as well!! I am so so glad you are watching this!!
Just so you are aware, Khaleesi is a title (sort of equivalent to "Queen")-her actual name is Daenerys. Yeah, I know... keeping track of all the names and titles in this show is only going to get more difficult going forward. For every character they kill off they add three more... and they like to kill off characters in this show.
Having seen many many GOT reactions , yours so far has been my favourite, your comments and reactions are exactly like when I watched it for the first time 🤣, I need to see the full length reactions!
You "got so much enjoyment out of that" because you have become officially addicted my dear 😁 Your medieval side will definitely come out watching this show. It's ok though. We all felt that way
Did you notice that the name Daenerys chose for her future son was Rhaego, a combination of Rhaegar (her much older deceased brother), Drogo her husband? Her name is Daenerys, khaleesi is her title like khal is Drogo's title. It's kind of like king and queen.
This episode was a whirlwind! I'm so invested in these characters and their stories. It's interesting how the show presents these morally gray characters. We see moments of humanity and compassion, like when the king seems to connect with Ned Stark, and then we're reminded of his capacity for cruelty and violence, like his desire to have Daenerys killed. Ned Stark is in a tough spot, wanting to leave his position as Hand but getting caught up in the schemes of King’s Landing. He's a man of honor in a den of thieves, and it's getting harder and harder for him to navigate the treacherous waters of the capital. Tyrion is another character I find myself rooting for, even though he's a self-proclaimed liar and cheat. He's witty, intelligent, and often uses his humor to deflect from the prejudice he faces as a dwarf. The scene where he talks his way out of captivity with a combination of confessions and promises is classic Tyrion. And can we talk about Daenerys's transformation? She's embracing her role as a Khaleesi, even as her brother's behavior becomes more erratic and dangerous. The look on Viserys's face when he realizes he misjudged his sister's strength was priceless! I have a feeling Daenerys is going to be a force to be reckoned with. The scene where she eats the horse heart was intense and foreshadows the power she possesses. It's clear that she's no longer content to be a pawn in her brother's game, and I'm excited to see what she does next. This episode was full of great scenes, but the one that really stuck with me was the trial by combat. It was shocking to see Lysa Arryn sentence Tyrion to death so readily, and I can't believe she'd risk her own son's life in the process! It just goes to show how deep the hatred runs between the Starks and the Lannisters. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see how this all plays out!
This is totally unrelated but I would like to suggest the show The Gilded Age for you to watch. It’s so underrated. The characters, the costumes, the set designs, the plots & historically accurate storylines are all great. You would love it!
This was the ep that got me forever. I watched the first 5 with interest, but when this one ended, I said to my partner, "I think I f'in love this show."
Amber I suspect you are developing a case of "Targaryen Fever" symptoms are endurance, tough as nails skin and resilience and sudden urges to yell Drackarys... You got the fever mon ami. This just the beginning. Winter is coming!
Amber Great Watching And Loving It.And I Did Say If Ok To Say Not To Mention On What Occurs In This Tremendous As I Seen It From When It Was Released... But I Am Rewatching Your Reactions And Must Say.... If Others Have Not Watched Before,How Can They Watch ??. With Your Superb ReactionsAmber !!😄 Almost As Tremendous As Your If Don't Mind Me Saying Again... AS YOUR COMMENTS ON THE SUPERB MUSIC CHOSEN BY YOU AND JAY AND YOUR LOOKS.... PERFECT CELEBRATE BEING YOU AMBER IN EVERYWAY SMASH IT.. THIS SERIES IS ALMOST AS GREAT.. ENJOY TOTALLY THIS AND BEING YOU BABE 🍾😎💋♦️👑🧨 GREAT 🦁😊xxx
I love Tyrion sooooo much, hes my #1 fav. Oh man that moon door makes me queezy every time. Arya my 2nd fav cracks me up with her 7 hells, lol. True dragons dont burn. Ol' boy got him a permanent gold crown, def no dragon. No worries we all loved him recieving his crown. Thanx so much, take care, Peace
There are at least three more deaths that you will be happier to see in the seasons to come trust me. BTW, you get more absolutely BEAUTIFUL with every reaction on all three channels
This show has caused all of us to take “untoward” delight in harsh outcomes. 👑😶👑 It’s part of the charm.
My sentiments exactly 😂 you are going to be surprised how much you cheer on the most heinous acts 😇
Emilia Clarke (Danerys) said when she runs into Jason Mamoa he still calls her wife. Actually she said he yells it across hotel and airport lobbies.😄
I don't know whether to call that heartwarming or hilarious. 🤔 Ya know what? 🥰&🤣
"Wifeyyyy!!!" Yes he does. Another place was on the Graham Norton Show.
Is this the fastest Game of Thrones reactions ever?. It's been what 2 weeks and you're already almost done season 1! I'm here for it anyway keep them coming
Yep! She's loving it. This pace is amazing. :)
And I'm totally here for it!

@@scottyg3406 I agree but that might start causing copyright issues GoT is an HBO show after all lol
The golden crown scene is in my top ten GoT scenes, and the first time I saw it I jumped up and yelled and clapped in absolute glee! Zero guilt about it 😂😂😂
“I’m ready for him to just destroy this little brat.” Your wish is granted. 😂
All the bastards that Jon Arryn tracked down had dark hair. Gendry (the armourer's apprentice) even said his mom had blonde hair. The seed is strong.
" I just had a crazy thought. No that's not possible" oh sweet summer child.
Amber im really impressed with your ability to decipher and analyze this show...you're on the top tier of reactors (and I've watched a lot)
LMAO- GOT had us all questioning our morals Amber. Love this
Are you ever gonna use that song I wrote for ya ?
This won't be the first time seeing someone get what's coming to them makes you happy in this series.....
Im glad you caught the hair thing. They have been hinting at it all season. In the second episode Circe talks to Cat Stark about her first baby that died and mentions his black hair. In a later episode the king complains about "being surrounded by all these golden haired lannisters".
Yep, as soon as she said “Ooohh I just had a crazy thought” 😅 Took me a lot longer to finally figure that little Lannister secret out.
This episode has the most satisfying ending 😊
Don’t question yourself he needed to die that way and it was worth watching
Oh, Amber honey ... we have ALL seriously questioned our morals throughout this entire series (and beyond!). But just go with it! It's only fiction, and you are still the same sweet and lovely person!
Ideation of extreme violence... hmmm...
@@TheDanEdwards But still aware of the fact, and concerned about it, so I think she (and the rest of us!) will be ok 😜

"A Golden Crown" is a great title as it refers not only to Viscery's death but also the "golden crown" worn by Joffrey and his siblings.
Love seeing you go from flinching at the brutality then laughing so hard at the golden crown :)

If you love Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister you should watch him in the movie "The Station Agent" for your movie night. It's absolutely phenomenal
A great movie - and such a differnt character than Tyrion. You guys would love it.

Best line in GOT "I made the Bald man Cry into the Turtle Stew" 😂

GOT is addicting, but not always easy! I’m really enjoying your reactions, but at this point you’re still a Sweet Summer Child (not a bad thing)!
Yes I too found myself, setting my morals aside and wishing people dead while watching GOT 😂
LOL at Amber giving out golden death crowns like Oprah 😅

The Lannisters' castle, Casterly Rock, is on top of a gold mine.
And Tywin Lannister was perhaps my second favorite Lannister because Charles Dance is just a bad ass.
What’s more, that’s just one of several gold mines which it could have been built on top of in the Westerlands. I guess that was the one with the best oceanside view.
This show definitely makes you see your own "shades of grey" when it comes to morals.
This episode just let everybody know that Aquaman is an artisan in the making of *_custom fit_* crowns. Walk ins welcome, no waiting. 😳
The remarkable thing is that this series just gets better and better. You're hooked on this and I'm hooked on your response to this It's a win win
My anxiety kicked off when Tyrion rolled around in that sky prison.
Hell yeah! Bring it girl, I am READY! 🎉
As soon as I saw the tile of this episode, I got so excited in a demented way.
Amber's excitement at Vasarys death was kind of scary.
Just when you hate or love a character, stuff happens!! Sooo good!
You should note that Daenarys's supporter, Jorah Mormont, is the son of the head of the Night's Watch.

I'd rather have that prison cell than 4 walls. Nice fresh air and you can always jump if you want.
Love your reactions Amber!
Thoughtyou had missed one though!
