Just ran into Cate Blanchett with her family . Didn’t want to disturb her from her family time so I just quickly told her I loved her and would go see her new movie, and she said “thank you my dear”. It was a quick walking-past-and-chatting thing. Aw my life is complete now lol!

@Steven Zepeda tolkien during his life time even have Christopher Lee the mandate to play Ganadalf if they ever made a LOTR movie but when they did it Lee couldn't because of his age as Gandalf has a lot of fight scenes and stunts.
I think Hugo Weavings Elrond performance was basically perfect too, along with Ian Holm's Bilbo.

I don’t think it’s a matter of class so much as a willingness to share their stories and the ability to articulate them without too many “ums and ahs.” Maybe it’s more an education thing?

Maybe it's an education thing, but they come off as so worldly (knowledgeable, experienced in different things), have great stories, have the ability to be cool under questioning, banter with the host, *be classy* etc. Thanks for reminding me of Emma Thompson too. ;)

Cate is one of those ageless people that are so rare. She is absolutely lovely today...and when she is 85 years old she'll still be beautiful and elegant.
