That’s my hometown and I remember these pensioners from my childhood. They were very smartly dressed, well spoken with stories about the Raj. But the world had changed dramatically for them, an example would be my NDN who could understand why people took out a mortgage to buy a house and didn’t just pay for it outright?
To think some of these were already well into their 40's when Chaplin's movies came out
