    Made this terrible mistake recently. Used a liquid guano fertilizer as foliar spray over entire vegetable garden and it ruined the entire garden. Everything went yellow. It was a terrible mistake of not diluting the concentrated fertilizer with enough water before applying. Lost so many plants 😥

      I would think you should worry about a flush with regular water before you think about the nutrients. Did you have any luck with any of the options you mentioned?

    My four year old pepper plant looks tired this year. Its in a big container and its brought inside every winter and finally back out under natural sunlight. It just looks droopy and no new growth, usually they perk up when taken back outside but not this year. Same water cycle and fertilizer regiment as usual, perhaps root bound but haven't checked yet... Not sure how to proceed with this one

    How soon should u fertilize your container vegetable plants if using a potting soil?

    • @PlantFanatics

    I over fertilized jalapeno plants. I think one is beyond saving because it was small and most of it is dead now. I was considering exactly what you suggest, watering the crap out of them to wash the fertilizer out, or transplanting them / changing the soil which can be done because they're in pots.
    Is transplanting a better idea as long as I keep the root ball?

    • @PlantFanatics

      I generally prefer just running quite a bit of water through the pot, should get the job done.

    • @PlantFanatics
      @PlantFanatics  3 роки тому

      It may still take a little time to show that its doing better.

      @@PlantFanatics I managed to save one doing that. It's in a 4 gallon pot. I let 4 gallons of tap water sit out over night to purify it (at least a little), dumped it in the next day and cut all the death off. It's producing now and I'm going to have more peppers than I know what to do with (hot sauce!) in a few from just that one plant. It's doing really well now, even bushing out and getting new branches where I cut the death off.

      @@jackschitt7783 I'm extremely glad to hear you were able to not only save the plant, but also start getting produce off of it. If my videos help even one person do that, then I'm one happy camper! Thanks for the encouraging comment, and keep up the great work!

    Can I use chicken manure to fertilize my tomatoes?

    • @PlantFanatics
      @PlantFanatics  Місяць тому

      Yes, but make sure its broken down before placing it on top of the soil. Compost is broken down organic matter, not just chicken manure.

    After repotting a new hibiscus plant with more inorganic and organic fertilizer leaves and branches lossing their strength...what to do...

    • @PlantFanatics
      @PlantFanatics  2 роки тому

      I would make sure to simply repot them into a soil mixture made specifically for potted plants, and in the beginning don't add any extra fertilizers. Typically potting mixes already have enough fertilizers already, so if you add the extras its going to keep the plant from being able to absorb what they need. So I recommend changing out the soil again with no extras. Water your plant in well after repotting and it will recover in no time assuming this is the issue. I hope this helps you out! Let us know!

    What if it's the rain is causing too much watering

    • @PlantFanatics
      @PlantFanatics  4 місяці тому

      That would depend on where you live. The occasional heavy rains shouldn’t be an issue. If that’s a constant issue, you may find different plants to grow more suited to the environment.

    • @PlantFanatics
      @PlantFanatics  2 роки тому

      I would simply make sure that in the future you stay on a fertilization schedule, and don't get off of it. You can never go wrong with composting your garden area before you plant your tomatoes every year. I hope that everything turned out alright for you. I hate when I put so much work into something and it doesn't go right. You'll have great success next year! Thank you for getting in touch, and I hope this helps you.
