Gdleen is purported to be the first RPG on the Super Famicom and was never released officially outside of Japan. This series started as a light novel which then received an anime and then a game. Out of all of that, only one OVA (original video animation) was ever translated, and it wasn't well-received. It makes me wonder just how many hidden gems are hiding in Japan...
