Like the x-men, he-man, tmnt, etc. That shit had one reason to exist, to sell merchandise. It just so happened that they made the shows GOOD to make people want to buy said merchandise.
Exactly
But back then, they at least tried and invested and weren't owned by disney
Now, Disney owns the rights and own the property. Like he said, do you think disney actually did this for the love or simply for cash grab and keep subscriber's?
Like he mentions, hope it's good but, this is Disney marvel, only time will tell
That's Alex. He is Mr Negative. Always has been. Always will be.
FAIR POINT MY GUY!
i was along the same thought a show doesn't have to not be made to make money to be good they aren't mutually exclusive. much of the og classics obviously were all made to make money they just happened to brew the right amount of success like OG Spiderman, X-Men, Static Shock, Yugioh, Jackie Chan Adeventures, Justice League, hell even X-Men evolution was solid.
Bro it just hit me that the theme song for this X-men cartoon is low key a sped up instrumental of Whitney Houston’s “I’m your baby tonight” song. 🤯
X-men “97” - changes things to appeal to “modern audiences”
You should all know by now to not get excited for anything Disney
I was around 17 when this jewel was spreading joy on TV. I almost can't believe had to watch it several times.
I’m open to it. The guys in charge seem to have a passion for it. They even said they didn’t hire people to work on this unless they were fans of the original
Yeah they've also said tons of questionable crap in interviews since then such as the director/Producer saying, "When presenting the idea to Kevin he was interested in how my experiences as a gay black man will influence the storylines". They've also reportedly made Morph non-binary and changed his look from how he looked in the original. They're voice actors if not the same ethnicity as the character weren't brought back hence why Jubilee and some others have different voices.
Im just gonna say Alex has really became my favorite Like I used to not like his attuide on discussions before but now I have seen the shit they give us and I can appreciate his distaste for the bs we get. Also his face before I watch the video is hilarious!! 0:10
I am so happy for x-men 97 it’s going to be really amazing and badass
Did you not hear Alex give you the warning? If you're not worried then you're delusional and haven't been paying attention to disney these past years. And only 10 episodes, yeah I wouldn't be counting it as amazing
@@ByakuyaKB dude don’t ruin my fun and plus I’ve been on this show since it’s announcement and plus I want this to succeed not fail.
@@TevyaSmolka So you've been ignoring all the news about all the changes in the show for political and other reasons?
@@bradmiles1984 X-Men been political for years and honestly I don't care.
@@TevyaSmolka Not in the same ways. It wasn't overt changes for the sake of it. They covered topics vaguely. There's a difference between doing something tastefully and pandering to a small crowd for internet points.
That Colossus action figure at the beginning, I freaking have that figure. I still have a box of all of the old action figures. Pretty much the only things I kept from my childhood.
I'm so psyched for this.
At this point, I won't give Disney any chance any more. Not watching anything they are releasing. I had enough of companies shitting on my favourite franchises.
Facts.
That's actually very much snowflake behavior, bro
@vidmasterK1 Your ignorance is on full display. In your world, people cannot question anything. They must obey right? Pathetic. Let people express their opinions.
@@TheUMIA did I just not express my own opinion
“You cannot escape!” “You’llllllll be the one escapiiiiiing!” Arcade gold lol
"WELCOME TO DIEEEE!!"
"No force on earth can move the Blob"
I think it looks and sounds great tbh
i still old enough to remember when this was a gaming review channel
Sadly man doesnt even do that much anymore
This trailer gave me a nostalgiagasm
For real clean up on aisle my pants after watching this trailer
Anyone else every watch alexs face when hes not talking lol
Yeah, I did. He looks miserable as hell, and he always hates everything, so I don't understand why he is even on this show.
oh, I noticed. it felt like a weird version of flash animation lol
I just said the same thing on other comment, it really feels like that sadly
So ironically it's X-Men 97 - After Effects. That is what this trailer is saying... and if anyone got that joke give this a like, it wasn't hard but it was so true lol@@alfredogonzalez9420
3:03 "I assumed the animation would be the same" to "it looks the same cheap animation"
My brother in Christ decide what you want lmao. I'm down for the sam old animation. No one does that animore. It's not low effort: it's being loyal to the original style
Alex hated it? Shocker
Why is he even on this show? Just look at his face the entire time, he looks so fucking miserable, like he is being held hostage or some shit. It's embarrassing.
cant ruin his dumb lil gimmick
Yeah, its rare to see someone using his brain for a change
@@worlddd7777 it does rake a lot of brain power to be 3rd banana on a reaction channel
@@joetippett8680 And thats still more brain power than at least 50% of worlds population
Alex spitting facts. This is about to be a half baked nostalgia bait. I pray its good for people who hold dear memories for this show but luckily I don't.
This! Honestly I'm a downer here but, I think I've lost hope in this one
This age like milk.
Spiderman animated series was amazing too
Studio Madhouse XMEN was the last good XMEN animation.
Yo, gonna need a review for the first 3 episodes now that they’ve dropped. It’s pretty damn good.
I was SO excited by this trailer, finally Marvel puts out something worth watching
Sure
@@stardustdragonx3612 Yeah, well... we'll see if they drop the ball on that show too :(
@@francislachapelle123 How many characters will be turned gay and/or trans? Its definitely more than 1.
@@thebenc1537 They've already reported non-binary morph. Voice actors were changed because they weren't the same ethnicity as the character hence the different Jubilee and some others. Go look into some things Demayo said like when he talked about how he pitched it to Feige "Kevin was interested on how my experiences as a gay black man would effect the story". There's plenty of other stuff to indicate this likely won't go well. It's gonna be a continuation in name alone.
The gummi bears intro is the Greatest intro ever😂 X-Men and Spiderman intros are all time anthems!
I think I'll get used to the animation. We're seeing snippets of it, but I think when watching the show I'll adjust to the style.
Im confused, are they making a new season to continue the old series ? Or just reposting the old seasons ?
That radioactive Spider-Man song is a very close second
the reason it doen't look right is because they used 3d models with cell shading always feels weird to look at, but i'm still excited
I agree with Alex on this one. I do not trust Disney whatsoever with anything you can look forward to if you want but I’m going to warn you to be cautiously optimistic because how many times has Disney been fucking up in the last five years?
8:14 who is that on the far right of the screen? I recognized everybody but them.
Literally as old as myself 🤪😂
I love the X-Men comics, movies and shows
Nonthing could fool Alex.
He sees right through them.😂
Its good to see them putting effort into this, Id much rather watch X-Men 97 than a lot of Marvel/Disney other recent dumpster fire content.
So glad it’s a continuation not just a new universe. Can’t imagine what arcs and stories from the comics they’ll continue and what different directions they’ll go from
They'll probably continue X-Men 97 the same way that Kevin Smith continued He-Man in Masters of the Universe revelation
Your 100 percent correct from things the showrunner has said, why must they ruin all the things from childhood.
At this point, my trust in Disney and Marvel has dropped so damn low that even though TAS X-Men was one of my FAVOURITE T.V shows of all time, I can't bring myself to be hyped about this. The dialogue feels a bit off already, sounds generic as crap and I feel the original X-Men ended pretty well anyhow... This is just nostalgia bait. I am not at all interested.
I'm still hyped for the show but little worried about the animation quality and some of the voices, mainly Wolverines
Same Wolverine voice actor as the original, he’s just 60 something years old now.
@@FireBomberBassist Still doesn't really fit the character if this is supposed to happen right after the original show. The character isn't 68 years old
@@CaptainTitforceWolverine? Isn’t he over a hundred years old?
@@heavyarms7prime Yeah okay, but I mean in human terms, he's not old man Logan by this point. He's clearly not a wrinkly gray haired guy.
1. TMNT theme
2. X-men theme
3. Batman theme
Nothing will ever make alex happy
Well...he does have a point.
Oh, so they are following the comics with Magneto replacing Xavier. Nice!
Alex is 100% right I don’t think Disney did this for the love of the show
Alex is just a negative as hell person

Joe is gonna be pissed about the
Morph change.😂
You effed it up!!!!!
Or you woked it up!!!!!
Apparently he's non binary smh... Woke garbage ruins everything.
No they made him accurate to the comics
You're aware the original morph died in both the show and comics but the one in the new series is from the Age of Apocolypse maybe one of the top 5 storylines in the 90s, the new morph was a bit more op in the comics as well and in the series bad comic relief so kinda not a big deal
Gotta keep toeing the corporate line, can't get that sweet sweet esg money without jamming weird politcal shit into it
@@DeShawnMcDonald right.
"Best intro song." oh plz... Everyone knows its Extreme Dinosaurs Intro.
Notice that bishop has join the team change the character of morph.
Morph is still in the show, they just gave him his modern design.
There are some worried cause don’t like they change the character of morph.
@@danielwitz35Not just the change but the comments from the showrunner indicating there's going to be political views making changes to the show. Even with the voice actors per disney's rules the voice actor or actress has to be same ethnicity as the character. It's why Jubilee isn't the same voice actress. People are just going off early warning signs. Also if this is a continuation why change morph instead of keeping all the models the same. The whole reason for the show is to appeal to people's nostalgia not bring in new viewers.
@@bradmiles1984they probably will show why everyone goes with changes like if wolverine ask morph why did you change your face or how bishop join the team.
I think he was making fun of cyclops voice. Check out this Cal Dodd interview where he does the original voice from 4 months ago. He can still do the original voice with ease
