Excellent tutorial. I liked ALL of the progressions and the way you played them. Thanks. It's your rhythm playing that makes them all sound so good.

Great video, thanks! My 2 cents: I would add the progression I-V-b7-IV. And yes, I recently discovered that IV and iv works great. I would add these 2 wherever the last chord is a IV, so maybe play IV for 2 beats and the iv for the last 2 beats going back to I...Amazing sound...

Unpredictable progressions are my favorite. That’s why I like Billy Joel.

Can you look at Gospel back-cycling triads but time stretched to one bar each. They are all coming back home, but I like to leave out the final IV -I Cadence. You can explore as many levels of back-cycling that you would like.

É como uma receita de bolo, depois de decorar, podemos identificar o sabor do bolo pelo cheiro, que são as
progressões e então repetir a receita

Well I love playing Ballads on the piano and the 1, 5, 6, 4 is a classic Richard Marx song... Such an easy piece to play and if you dont know how to play piano and you have to impress a girl at a party - anyone can learn it... Although if she busts out Beethoven's 3rd movement of the moonlight sonata and she's a classically trained pianist - just walk away... LOL... This was a great tutorial...

    Thank you for your video!
    Just a small consideration: I think that progression I - bVII - IV should be viewed as V - IV - I.
    What do you think about?

Hey! It’s another way of seeing it. I’d say it really depends on where is the Root chord. What key is song in!

Is the second progression in C? Surely it's F - you can even hear it resolve to the F
