Why would you send un superheated steam down a tube to get it superheated and then return it to give up its superheat. Spearhead do a far better job if you have a tig welder
With these you can get much larger tubes up the flues, maximising the amount of heat that is generated. I know you do lose a bit of heat on the way back, but that preheats the saturated steam before it reaches the fire, therefore the steam gets hotter in the firebox. I do think they balance out to be similar, maybe not quite as good as spearheads, but they are velvety good still.
