I have to work on a team of white liberal women. They are insufferable.
What gets me is when it was pointed out that preferential treatment was given to non-white applicants she at first tried to deny it and then when that made no sense to her she redirected asking whether the convassor was conservative it gave her an out not to answer the question. That is what I am disappointed in how intolerant liberals have become.

I would have never said yes, until about 2-3 years ago. This new age intersectional ideology has encouraged discrimination to the point it’s safer to do so. All the progress we made as a country has been destroyed in less than a generation.

This has been going on a lot longer than people think. When I was a student at University of Wisconsin Whitewater in the 90s, we had black only dormitories. The justification was it was voluntary segregation I remember thinking that it was really strange.

This is how it works (at least in this present state of reality):
If a certain racial/ethnic demographic wanted their own designated housing other than White/Caucasian it would be encouraged/allowed not so much for the sake of tolerance/inclusion/diversity but out of fear and/or pressure from the social/legal repercussions/consequences.
Of course because of the pressure the administrators may have to cave but if White/Caucasian students demanded their own student housing for themselves there would be minorities (and of course White/Caucasian progressive/woke/SJWs) that would say it's racist/bigoted and they would protest and scream. Not to mention that reporting from the MSM meltdown and them losing their mind calling for the resignation of officials that in the name of equity and fairness would allow it for the Caucasian/White students requesting/demanding it.
It's hard to legislate equality and anti-racism because it can't change the hearts and minds of racist/bigoted people with the stoke of a pen and some stiff suits in Washington D.C. or at the state level mandating equity in education, employment, housing, finance, etc.

In the USN there were two colors; Blue for E-6 and below, Khaki for E-7 and above, incl. officers. I moved from Canoga Park, next to Northridge, in '94 to Montana. One my best decisions.

Freedom of Association often gets overlooked in conversations like this. I’m free to associate with whatever race I want and not associate with whatever races I want. A White Only dormitory would be the safest, cleanest, quietest dormitory on campus and I’d sign that petition in a heartbeat!

It is a very evil thing that has happened. Segregation within a nation of any kind is terrible. It is not just seperation, it advances polarisation, to a 'them and us' situation, this ultimately leads, through the focus on difference and diminishes samenesss, to all sorts of conflict and potential dehumanisation: a well worn and established path to hate, violence and death. Communities used to be forced into this at terrible cost to all sides, especially minority communities. The racists have infaltrated both sides of those groups and promoted the idea to minorities to segregate themeselves (us) and the majority communities (them) to feel they should support it as a good thing for the 'other'. This is evil to its core.

I was stationed in the segregated south of the 1960s, it was awful. Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Thurgood Marshall championed the cause of full integration of American society. Most young Black people do not know who he is, much less that he was Black! I do not understand Black citizens of today wanting segregation in their life. Yet these same people have a problem with White flight from urban areas to be with people more like themselves. It can't be both ways.

The funny thing about this is that these are the people who supposedly will be running things in 20-30 years. If these same people went into the military they'd be forced to serve and live with people of all backgrounds and possibly fight for their lives with them. This would result in them having greater understanding and tolerance for people unlike themselves. There are no 'safe spaces' in the military. It's the real world full of risks and conflicts. Safe spaces are for people who are too fearful to engage with people that are different from themselves. Western culture is raising fragile roses that will die when the PH levels are even slightly off, meanwhile Russia and China are raising dandelions that will grow in anything.
