I rebuilt a Fox Eagle 60 once for a friend. I recall that the two propeller choices were a 12x6 and an 11x7. The 11x7 agreed with the engine much better. There was a groove in the cylinder which might have affected it. I also recall that it was loud.

Very few 2 stroke engines made with removable cyl from lower cranckase and 8 bolt cyl head, heavy duty and long lasting engines.

if i remember correctly, you can install the cylinder ,facing the exhaust , to the rear or opposite side of its original position. may give you the room to mount it on the stand.

Yes, but I think you have to make sure you do that before it's run the first time, and then once you have run it, consider what ever position you put it at as the permanent position.

@@tempest411 that would make sense on an ABC cylinder,but its a ring engine. skirt clearence is different .

These are attractive engines, though I have read they tend to run hot, so are not very tolerant of lean operation. It's probably a good idea to run a fuel with something like 20-25% castor oil.

Dave, I have a question for you. I recently purchased a Fox 15. It has a very stiff high speed needle and a stuck low speed needle. What would you recommend that I do to free them up? I have never had this issue before and I am lost.
Also, the Fox Eagle 74 that you have is a very nice piece. I hope to see a run video on it soon.

Boa tarde senhor David, infelizmente resido no Brasil, se morasse nos Estados Unifos, lhe proporia uma troca seu Fox 74 no meu OS Max 1.08 BX-1 que está em ótimo estado rolamentos novos, quando abro motor nem olho se precisa substituir rolamentos eu os substituo, esse motor Fox era um sonho de desejo quando era jovem, se pudesse lhe enviaria imagens de meus motores, para o senhor ver como estão bem cuidados, e as modificações que fiz nos Super Tigres usando o kit de agulha remota da OS Max, um grande abraço, também adoro gatos.
