As someone who has been surfing for 51 years now, I have to say I am so impressed with Nathan, Kai, Koa, Eli, and on and on. They all seem like such irrepressibly positive, stoked, fun-loving, polite, talented guys, with none of the shitty attitude I've seen so much of over the decades. I've always been very proud to be a surfer, and you guys make me feel more so.

I'm 42, 6'4" and 135 kg, ive been surfing for 9 months (trying to lower that third number), 😂😂 so I haven't seen much in the way of aggressive territorial types out where I go way down south in Australia , but xyzct Ive been thinking the same thing. Such happy, appreciative of what they've got guys. Laughing in the face of intimidation. Respect. 🌊💙🤙🏼

My favorite UA-camr now, by far. I was smiling my ass off, and then next thing I know... I was in a trance, with the music matched to house-devouring sized waves (again). I actually watched this on the crapper at work. Someone banged on the door and asked if I needed an ambulance. I had my earbuds in. I guess I was moaning and groaning, watching you get pitted, and they thought I was pushing one out sideways.

40-50 years ago, this would have been called the biggest, mackingest, gnarliest, most radical day of surfing, anywhere ever. Now it's just another good day at Jaws. I'll tell you what, though: It is still damn near the biggest, mackingest, gnarliest, most radical day of surf I've ever seen. You young guys and gals are f*cking amazing. Much respect.

i was lucky enough to visit the islands many years ago and after watching this movie I am most definitely going back!...the surfing was INCREDIBLE, OUTSTANDING, AMAZING....just such an epic adventure, the rainbow was cool...sic waves...all of this shared with your friends...it does not get better...the dual drop is the best....you guys looked like to snowboarders rippen a line in the backcountry, except your mountain is chasing you at 50 knots.... all are so skilled, true badass's out there.....you guys must get an insane amount of girls,,,,keep on liven the dream...thanks for letting us mere mortals see it up close...thank you....be safe....God Bless....Namaste...

Kai got the gem from the coast guard. The 25ft was one of the best boat they ever bought for us to use next to the 45ft RBMs. So bummed when they decommissioned these things and started selling them off. Just wouldn’t attempt to take it through some white water.
How does surfing get any better than this? Some of the best wave rides ever filmed. I’d never know; but Jaws looks like the most thrilling ride of any wave on our planet.
I REALLY wish they would have done a gear breakdown in more detail with Kai. The technology now a days is insane.

Just sitting here thinking about how far this has come since 1973. Our surf comics have literally become a reality. on a glassy day its just like life noteworthy but this session is rewarding watching the carves and barrels , yea the double barrel was epic.
Absolutely fantastic 365 degree experience of a crazily windy, scary, towing jaws-day to their hearts' content! There are such great vibes among this group of surfer friends -and their team-, that they make it is seem simple and absolutely fun something that, honestly, looks (and must be) terrifying. In the early 70's I saw a movie that had a Waimea sequence with ominous music much like you used.....and it was like watching a monster movie. I'm glad I didn't fast forward to the "surfing starts" because your prep made me feel like I was there, butterflies and all. I've had my share of big Hawaii and that really hit home on the ramp up to getting out there. My knees hurt watching that jetski chop hop all the way out there. Thanks for the ride.
Been watching surf vlogs while putting kids to bed for years. I think this may have been the very best I've ever seen. Aside from the epic surf and flawless surfing edit, your completely unselfconscious way of being keeps the window into your life so clean and clear and only leaves us knowing with greater certainty what seems obvious--you're every bit as cool a person as you are an incredible surfer. Keep it up.

Loved how you both charged the waves to get inside those massive barrels. Showed a lot of skill and courage to straighten out on some of those bombs and stall just to later pull into the barrel after it wedged up further inside. High drama on the seas. Excellent, performance surfing in ridiculously windy "victory at sea" conditions. Just, wow.

My family has suffered the ultimate loss during these bushfires, My cousin sadly lost his life protecting his beloved town and surrounds, but the rest of the ladds just keep on going doing their best to keep the fires away from their houses and neighbours houses the grieving will come later, such a sad time atm.
