One of the best vintage-modern builds I’ve seen in a long time. Well done to the team 👏🏿. We would like to see the reaction of the customer if possible!
@@fullyloadedcars I agree, keeping the classic's as classics. There will be a new want for old style cars again, there are new 'printing' methods today that can form bumpers etc. from sheet metals as you're probably aware of. If you could make parts for a certain make and model and then 'print' them that would save the classics and also be much simpler
Freakin‘ awesome. What a great job. As a designer myself I unterstand the comments regarding this cars proportions. More rounded off-falling back edges would be more eye-candy. See a „Stutz Type M“ from 1929 without any lengthening of the car. But I would love to own it.
Great video and build. Didn’t like the client’s design choices. Specifically, the way the hood slope and how the boxy rear cuts off. At least the front looks good. But what stands out is how you guys went above and beyond throughout the build with superior quality!
Roof line looking from the front is as flat as a board. It should have had a nice graceful arch to match the bottom of the front windshield. Same with the doors. They're as flat as a pancake. Would have looked MUCH better had they tapered toward the bottom. Finally, the chrome is freaking MASSIVE! That chrome should be a lot more subtle. It looks like that chrome is about an inch and a half thick. Something like 5/8" to 3/4" would have been more graceful. Although I applaud the technical skills of the craftsmen that executed this, whoever came up with the design should be fired! As someone else commented, it looks like this car's mom was a hot sexy thing and the dad was a tractor.
This is an excellent video, well crafted and incredibly informative. You've done a fantastic job! However, I noticed the video is set to "Unlisted", which might explain the low views and likes despite its quality. If this wasn't intentional, I’d highly recommend making it public so more people can benefit from it. A video this good deserves a broader audience!
Very very skilled individuals at work true masters of their crafts .seems to be if you are that skilled with body work couldn't you just custom make the panels designed on the vintage ones and save tearing apart what appeared to be a really well looked after car seems a shame
I'm about 90% on this. Your crew did an amazing job widening and stretching the body, but the fenders front and rear need help, as does the boot surround. The original has some serious sexy curves and lines to it. The finished product looks like it had a really sexy mom and a tractor for a dad. Still and all, credit for the effort!
We made it to the clients specifications. Front and rear were made a couple of times till they were happy with it. Because they want to keep the Mercedes interior body had to be made around that. Thanks for the feedback 👍
Crazy build. The car appears very heavy and the hood appears to go up from the cowl? There should have been a slight drop towards the front. Keep the body line horizontal but profile the hood so that it slopes away from the cowl. It's impressive though, nicely done.
Why did you destroy the old car using just a few parts of it? You have the craftmenship to build it from scratch! I will cry for the rest of the day for this sin😢.
Hi everyone! When the car was loaded into the trailer @ 27:53 ... ...am I the only one wondering if the driver had to stay in it for ride out to the track? Aside from hopping out the window "Dukes of Hazzard" style, it didn't seem like an exit was possible from the car once inside the trailer. @fullyloadedcars 🤔🤔🤔???
Nice job guys. Out of interest, what happened to all the original Rover running gear, wheels etc. I've a 1935 Rover 12 and am always on the lookout for parts.
@ I really appreciate the craftsmanship but maybe next time use a English wheel or a 3D printer to make this bodyparts? Saves a rare classic. Keep up the workmanship 🏆🛠
First of all, your skills are amazing and the craftmanship is top notch. But imho you started with a car which is too big. I get it, you went for the uber luxury platform with a bigass engine, but I'd rather go with something like an A45 AMG for the performances in a smaller size. With the hood that long and the cabin that wide, final result seems too "rat-rody".
I didn't like the front wheels housing. It feels like a duble arches. My opinion either keep it straight from the body to the wheel arch or round arch (Like a hump as the original) all the way from the body to the wheel arch. The back wheels also.
Am I only one who thinks, this is really bad? It just doesn´t look right, because you change every proportions of the original car.. and not even talking about that, you just ruined what looks to be really nice restorable classic car.
Well, it's their car. So they can do with it whatever they want and i appreciate the work. also big respect for making it actually realy driving. But i also think it looks wrong. its to wide and the wheels are to big.

The wheels should be a size or two smaller. I guess today's trend is to put the biggest wheels possible. Stance is everything and this ride is cool but a bit off.
Personally , while think the finished product is very cool , I think they should have just taken moulds from the vintage car and let it live on as well. Bit of an unnecessary waste of the classic car . But maybe that's just me. I can't beat to see anything wasted .
We definitely wouldn’t use another classic in a build like this. Reason being they wants the OEM interior from the E400 the old body wasn’t useable. With the SLC retromod we are currently building we managed to use all the 1979 body with some modifications
@fullyloadedcars I had a feeling that it was done that way with instruction from the customer, can definitely see you're properly professional and not just hacks and charlatans who don't appreciate classic cars, l enjoyed the vid a great deal, I would definitely let you work on my car for sure.
