Im and ex A's fan. I'm dumping the A's with their move to Vegas. Ive been to games at Shea and City when visiting the family over the decades and have decided to put my allegiance all with the Mets. Your channel has been awesome watching old/classic games helping me feel more in tune with the Mets history...
@@johnbarron8361 I agree with the Athletics leaving California. Theres just too many teams in that state, and for some reason, despite all the success since being in California, the Athletics are looked as the least important team. It wouldnt surprise me if both the Padres and Angels also leave California this Century once they will also probably be denied funding for a new stadium or to do updates on their current stadium. California belongs to the Giants and Dodgers.
I just found your channel and you are a hero with all of your content, my friend. All of these older clips and games, taking me back to my childhood as a Mets fan, bravo to you!
2:40:10: I always liked the theme music that NBC used for baseball during this time period, which would've been 1999-2000. It gives me a very hopeful and triumphant feeling whenever I hear it. It seemingly doesn't get a lot of attention because it was used for a relatively brief period and NBC infamously, only aired postseason baseball games (plus the All-Star Game in even numbered years) at this point.

Very sorry for what you’re dealing with, it’s just plain wrong and awful. Welcome aboard nonetheless! And don’t forget to fasten your seatbelt! 😂

Reed, for some reason, has been forgotten in Met history. The guy was SOLID for them in the handful of years he pitched for Mets.

OLERUD, ALFONZO, ORDONEZ and VENTURA; the best defensive infield in METS' and MLB history, hands down.. JUST THE GREATEST!!!😂😂2
Boy, that homr plate umpire had the smallest, narrowest strike zone in MLB.
In today's crappy baseball, where the analytics dept.has the last word, RICK REED would have been gone after TURNER WARD hit that two run homer.
Any Blue Jays games aired on CBC?

The home plate umpire was very poor calling balls and strikes, especially on LUIS GONZALEZ in the first inning. JUST VERY,VERY POOR.

In that play made at deep shorstop by ORDONEZ against MATT WILLIAMS, DEREK JETER would have to jump up to try to make the play.
