Awesome build man with the right set of cams and valve train 200+ whp shouldn’t be a issue you have the compression ratio intake and exhaust setup to take advantage of a Tuner 2 or Pro 1 cam setup 👍🏻
For pro1 cams with stock valves would they need cam degree? I have the cams but idk if they’re hit the piston or hit the head. Should I install and find out?

This is crazy to me. Here in Cali my buddy's all stock internal gsr, H/I/E and dual valve springs. On 91 with a gsr trans made 183 WHP. That's a 1.8liter with less compression and displacement but it makes more power? Your tuner must be doing something not right 🤣
Every time I’d see a dyno of a car in the mainland, I’d think your guys dynos run higher numbers. 😅 my tuner makes power with all kinds of Honda motors, I believe something wasn’t working together good on this setup🥴
Yup bc I have the same problem in EPTX we are at 4000 to 4500 and my car made 154 hp all stock internals with phk pistons but had skunk2 ultra street intake grams fuel pump high flow rail 72mm tb on a b20/b16 head ported but at see level I should see close to 180hp with 93 bc here we have 91
@s2k1productions88 one reason I hate going up to the mountains is my family car. 08 corolla has absolutely no power up there. Had it floored going to reno 5000 rpm up hill with overdrive off and I wasn't gaining speed just staying steady. Should have took my silverado lol.
hello sir, with these high compression pistons do you have to use 1000cc injectors? I have some ctr pistons and I don't know which injectors to put? can i put a 440cc for example or is it not enough to make the detonation? thanks
Aloha, thank you for the comments. I believe you can run anything bigger than stock. As long as the tuner can keep his target afr’s it should be safe. I went with 1000cc injectors because it’s what I had lying around and also I ran this setup on the race gas also. If you plan to run race gas I’d always go with big injectors like 1000 cc plus. To be safe with enough fuel.

P73 itr pistons nippon rings king bearings cometic head gasket skunk 2 pro series intake manifold and skunk 2 alpha 70 mm throttle body head is full Brian crower valve train with dual valve springs and retainers I was curious if you know if it can handle 8lbs of boost?? I’m going to run a t3/t4 tx-50e turbo trim is .63 ar rated for 200-400+ wastegate is 7 psi this is a b series turbo kit from rev9 I spent about 1K on it please reply asap I need help thank you!!
Just put one together for a friend. We took it to my brothers shop and had it degreed. He still Had to install it but when we dyno it soon I’ll post the video🤙 should be in the next month or sooner 🫡
Knock sensor will do the hard work for you, or you could try good quality fuel. Use more cam duration to bleed off cylinder pressure and you’ll be golden. Nothing new here.

I have a 93 ex coupe with a b16b obd1 and can not get my tach to line up. Did you do anything to get it calibrated or did it just work? Mine seems like it's still revving like a D series lol
I had a problem with the tach being jumpy, bouncing around. Ended up being a clip behind the cluster not all the way in. Also try cleaning grounds. And dizzy connector and some die electric grease. I hope this helps🤙
@@MrPerrells Appreciate it man, I've had it apart, cleaned and all that. Mine isn't jumpy or anything, just reads lower than the actual engine speed. I just think it's cool to bury the tach like that but my car won't let me
The compression is good but the gsr cams dont have high lift to actually use that compression, if he puts in something like a skunk pro2 this will make 220 easily
Would it be safe to run 13.5:1 compression on pump gas for daily driving, I’m fine with not getting max power but I still would like some power while driving to class everyday

Not this time, engine was assembled a week prior to this piston swap. And it was honed then

I made 217 same bottom setup 70mmTB tuner 3 cams on 93 COP yonaka 2.5 exhaust.
That’s the kind of numbers I was going for 😂 was missing a set of cams on this build.

The elevation in CA is lower so the motor will make more power. Bring it up a couple 1000ft, I'm sure that GSR will be making 165-170whp.

Yes I’ve seen a guy run an itr engine on low boost like that with no issues. Should make good power with a little boost like 8psi. I would send it imo

I’ve never ran a itr head on any of my own b series builds that I’ve posted. They are hard to find here in Hawaii

Some say the cams were holding everything back. I believe that to be true or I had some old ass valves tryna do work😂

I believe that’s too high. Especially for daily driving.
I daily mines but pump gas is dangerous for that compression ratio but i use e85 on 13.1:1 ratio
