    This is the way to do it. There's so many guys out there who think you can just take a stock b20 block, strap a VTEC head on it, rev it to 8200+ rpm and be done with it. Good way to stretch a rod bolt at the very least. If you're gonna do B20 VTEC, do it right and save yourself the headache later.

    What’s the reasoning behind not using a reground crank? I used to grind cranks myself and we always had a set spec to grind to if needed. 90% Honda cranks we got only needed a micro polish. Only rod journals I had to grind was K series cranks.

      jcrabs93 regrinds wont hold up at high rpm. Will do ok with stock engines.

    Where do you get forged rods and pistons for only 500?

    I have a question brother . I’ve never built an engine so I’m curious .
    Why send the block to balance rotating assembly?

    • @UNIQUEGrills
      @UNIQUEGrills  3 роки тому +1

      Those engines and the whole assembly is not designed to rev pass 7,2k rpm.
      So you need to balance to rev a lot more safely.
      I’m my case 10k rpm all day every day.

    what head gasket and where to buy? doing my first build ever. b20V

    • @UNIQUEGrills
      @UNIQUEGrills  4 роки тому +1

      I have used Zerg High Compression head B20v 84mm gasket. It’s only two layers instead of standard 3 layers. They are on eBay for only $54 shipped.

    Very inspiring, I've never done an engine build before, so the plastic you placed between the "main caps" (i think its called that) and the crank, is it only the space from the top or measure bottom space also? or does it even matter as long as you measure between crankshaft and caps? thank you for such helpful knowledge.

    • @UNIQUEGrills
      @UNIQUEGrills  4 роки тому

      Team Ghast Doesn’t matter as long as they all in line. Not like one on top and one on the bottom. Place them all on top or bottom. Using cap are is easier to see and measure.

    • @UNIQUEGrills
      @UNIQUEGrills  4 роки тому +2

      Just 92 pump gas. Compression should be around 12.5:1
