    I have had a set of these resorts for some time and they work a treat. The only thing I have found is that leaving them in over night produces fewer holiday makers. IMO you should put them in just after lights out and remove them 2-3 hours later for the maximum number of tourists. Keep up the great work Gallery Aquatica

Didn't even know Crowe was from down under. Honestly, that's what hooked me to GA at first, the look that's a nice mix of Irwin and Dundee and reef keeping. That has to be good right? :D Idea for a spin off show: exploration of the tidal zones near TGBR, what exciting animals can you find? And add in some Ania screams of horror and you got gold!

    Loved this video! Ania, you did well not to squeal in horror because we could tell they were creeping you out! 😂😂 I wondered what the “whale” was and noticed you replied to Paul that it’s a Grammoptilis tang - I couldn’t get any google results - does it have a common name? I’m not super-good with some of the more obscure tangs though I’ve finally learned the difference between a sohal tang and a clown tang 😁

      Thank you! The BW do make my skin crawl! And my apologies for the delay in reply. I’m getting better at checking in on the UA-cam these days .
      I think the Whale common name is Ringtail tang. But I believe that is another very similar species of tang. She is Acanthurus grammoptilus (maybe I have spelt that wrong ☺️🫢)

    Very interesting to see such good results. However I wish these traps were see through so I know what I am opening up before I take that lid off🤯. I have seen only one last night of maybe 5 centimeters perched on a rock in my 29 gallon reef. My heart skipped several beats at the sight of this alien looking grey thing. I have never seen a bristleworm and I could only see the grey part. Then I waited for it to pop out again and saw the head is fleshy color.

    Why bother trapping them. There are a handful of fish that ate them. N they deal with your tank's junk

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  Рік тому

      Thanks for sharing your opinion but we definitely have to disagree on that. The bristleworm species we get in Australia are not desirable and can absolutely damage soft tissued LPS corals. Almost all of the Reef safe fish we recommend for coral tanks do not eat them, and there are many many many safer options for clean up crew which do not harm livestock (or us 🤣) to choose instead. There are over 40,000 species of polychaetes so it’s certainly possible the species you have experienced aren’t as savage as our Aussie ones but I would still advise against them given the countless times we have seen them harass and damage delicate LPS tissue.
      Best part about this hobby is you can choose to do whatever you feel is right and that’s ok!
      Happy Reefing!
      Ania
