This will hopefully be the year of finishing builds as well. I'm just about to the point where I'm able to do body and paint as well so it's going to be exciting seeing things start wrapping up. Thanks bud!
Nice video man! Reminds me of working on my '70 Corvette. I tell you with the body off it makes installing things 10X easier. Having a shop like yours and lots of room helps also. I have limited room at my home and makes it way more challenging. And I hate working on cars in the street unless it's an oil change or something like that. Maybe one day I will be doing this to my '70 SS 454 Chevelle.
That's the aftermarket for you. It is always cool to work through it though, we just have to be sure not to deviate too much as our "handywork" and genius ideas can sometimes make things dangerous! LOL! Best part is figuring out the physics of it all, to ensure things we have to modify work as designed. I am probably at a 7th grade math level so it can be challenging for me!! LOL!!
This video shows why choosing a more "popular" vehicle for resto-modding can be much easier (but more expensive). Lots of bolt-on parts for these Chevelles!
We're completely re-doing the exterior to make it super nice, yet classy. It'll look original with the exception of the paint and wheels. Inside will be restored to original as well. Thanks!!
Hey I'm going to do the same thing on my 71 Chevelle and I have a quick performance rear end would you happen to have any pictures of how many shims you had to put on that bottom out that came from Quick performance
What a awsome video kyle amazing the frame is looking really sick and comeing together nicely cant wait to see once it's close to starting time lol man this car is going to be shhhhhineeeeeeey lol thumbs up and shared
I hope you loosely assembled all of the bushings, they will wear out quicker and squeak like crazy, once load is on them and at ride height. Then you tighten them
the old tonya harding treatment(go watch Vice Grip Garage and you will know the meaning of this treatment) on the old transmisson tunnel :D works for clearance every time. you should nick name the car The 4th of July for four doors since we already have the Indepence Chevelle from Vice Grip Garage here on youtube.
I can totally relate to the anti-seize comment near the end... no matter how little I use, or how careful I try to be, I seem to have that stuff all over my hands... in my hair... on my clothes... on my beard... it pretty much can appear anywhere within a few minutes of opening the bottle... That stuff is insidious!
It's kind of a shame that once you put everything back together during final assembly it's gonna get dirt and scratched up from daily use but at least it's gonna last longer and be more durable than the factory suspension
Not much point doing all that work for something that never gets to accomplish what it was built to do. The education these videos provide is invaluable.
Nice.. AC in the shop.. go set up a cash account at. United Refrigeration, R.E. Michaels, Riles sales.. get the hide a line set casing to keep the line set from being hit and kinking a line. Great job so far. Thanks for sharing.. Stay safe and be well
excuse me where do I buy the original chassis of the chevelle I am looking for an original chassis for a Chevrolet chevelle malibu 1969 I am from Mexico the chevelle is a coupe
I am not a fan of those tires. The rims I can live with. However, those tires seem too skinny and small for the type of car they will be moving. That’s the only critique I have for this build right now.
“Microfibre clothes on the jack stands for the frame”… good lord. These are the worst customers to deal with lmao. Same kinda people watch like hawks and walk into the shop and tell you how to do your job
Nothing wrong with four doors. In fact, the vast majority of the cars in the world have this door configuration, including the best selling vehicle in the world (pickup trucks). Makes the rear seat (if equipped) much easier to access. MY car is a four door and I love it.
I actually think this build may end up being one of your best. You’ve done some good builds but I think this’ll be your best to date.

2 sentences. Saying the same thing😂
I remember watching this man when he didn't have the beard and he sounded not so happy. Bro, time flies so fast.
Lots of good things on the horizon!
that shop is amazing

Thanks pal!
That frame is looking really good! Thanks for inviting us into your shop again Kyle!
Superb job, Kyle! Top job and it looks like a million dollars! Can’t wait for next Chevelle content.
Thank you buddy!
Awesome video Kyle!
So much time, thought, and hard work has gone into this already! Can’t wait for more! ❤️
😁👍👍
I so love this build. You are doing great.
Thank you! 😊
Your channel is growing!
Love that energy!
I love your project videos especially classic cars
Looks like everything is coming along nicely
Showing even your mistakes is worth it.
Because somewhere someone is doing the same thing and doesn't know why their parts aren't lining up.
Thanks for watching!

Beautiful car and u are hard-working. The series is amazing as always
Wow. This is some quality content.

Yes sir, that's the truth. When you start getting into things like Studebakers, it gets much harder (ask me how I know lol)
@@saabkyle04 Story time! haha. Great build, man. Love the channel. Keep up the great work!
this build is going to be so amazing!
Thank you!

Yes I know, everything is just snugged for the moment
That's one nice go-kart
Loving the beard.
Great Video. What year is this Chevelle?
Good job with the video.
“Sorry Dad, you’re on your own today. This day is for napping and looking out the window.” 🐶

Hey there’s the corgi again
hey kyle - what are your plans for painting? have you ever painted a car before
the old tonya harding treatment(go watch Vice Grip Garage and you will know the meaning of this treatment) on the old transmisson tunnel :D works for clearance every time.

Why didn’t you do an independent rear suspension.
Because that's more expensive and kind of a waste of time unless you really plan on doing hard road racing which Kyle doesn't want to do with this car
Sup Kyle!
Nice!!
Where are you located
Are you in mocksville nc
Should have used dirty dingo motor mounts they fit no problem
I didn't have an issue with the Hooker mounts.
What car are you building?

hello
Hi
Hi there.
RIGHT FACE
“Microfibre clothes on the jack stands for the frame”… good lord. These are the worst customers to deal with lmao. Same kinda people watch like hawks and walk into the shop and tell you how to do your job
???
So taking pride in your work is all of a sudden a bad thing? Yikes

I understand it’s his time and money but why a four door?
You should go back and watch the earlier episodes, all your questions will be answered
Why not!
IIRC it was his Grandma's or his parents car.
Close! It was my wife's grandma's car

Why are you selling your Grandpa's mercury grand marquis?
