I have the same one with blue dial. I wouldn't change anything on this watch. You still get the plastic box. This model has better box and signed crown

There's also a great looking black - 24hr - dial.
I saw that, 24hr movements confuse the shit out of me, but it looks great.

I have the 720888 and I absolutely love it. EXCEPT for the fact that my dial came installed slightly off center. It’s rotated about 20-30 seconds. Particularly noticeable at the 6 on the bottom. :(
Sad because the bracelet is so amazing too.

@@ChillinwitWatches ha for real dude. i think eventually i’ll mod it by putting in a new dial, but only if/when something really catches my eye. In the meantime I just ordered a 170891 from Meranom that will probably arrive in January. Super excited for it.
Another beauty from Vostok. Thanks for all your videos Pete, especially your tip on where to get these watches online. I went from having zero Vostoks to three in one go! All on the way in the (Russian) mail. This new 720890 looks good. I wonder if a 24-hour bezel could be added onto it?Then you'd get yourself a sweet Russian version of the Glycine Airman GMT watch. Keep up your good work bro. Enjoyed every minute of it.
I'm sure you could find a 24hr to put on it. Vostok24 has a ton of bezels!

Sweet! Vostok is stepping up their game... love the new butterfly clasp bands, ss signed crowns and that dial is awesome! The same thing happened to me, I ordered two Vostoks and the one I ordered last came in two weeks ahead of the other. I blame the Joe Biden supply chain screw up... NOTHING in coming through the ports, East Coast or West:(

@@ChillinwitWatches i see, its just that there has apparently been a rise of corrosion issues with the recently produced pieces according to the forums. ordered a watch from vostok inc as well thanks to your vid! taking quite long for them to send tracking details though

Any idea how the dial's lume looks come early morning while it's still dark, after several hours without a charge?
In my experience, stock Vostok hands are easily legible all night (not blinding, but legible), but the itty-bitty lume pips on most models shine feebly to almost-not-at-all several hours after the lights go out. I can't rely on them to tell me the watch's orientation and instead have to grab the watch to feel where the crown is.
This model looks amply lumed, but I've not yet heard how it performs. I appreciate any information you can provide!
I have the 720888, so same model except blue dial. The lume on the numbers will not last that long. But I’ve been very surprised that I often wake in the middle of night / before dawn and I’m able to discern the time just fine thanks to the lumed hands. The hand lume last so much longer than the dial itself. Hope this helps you even though its a year later. lol
That definitely helps, thank you! I guess if a person wants a Vostok dial to glow through the night, they would most often have to get it relumed with Superluminova. But the hands of course usually do the trick.
Link goes to Russian language site and I can't find where to change to English or dollars. I like the watch but I agree it needs a dive bezel. And I love the SCUBA Dude.
