Thank you for the incredible performance Lee Jung-Jae ✨⚔️
He acts so well. It feels like the actor is really a Jedi.

I'm looking forward to it now in Squid Game s2 💖
Btw LJJ deserves a better show in Hollywood.. not a garbage show
@@paolopesare3566I don’t believe we will never see him again; due to how popular he’s become with the fans, as well as Jecki’s fighting prowess (and even some fans taking a liking to Yord), I think all three could return in S2 as the plot uncovers Vernestra Rwoh’s relationship with these Jedi/Qimir. Considering Qimir used to be a Jedi, I think that’ll be explored in flashbacks and Sol/Jecki/Yord all have a good chance of returning in those (just like how they did flashbacks of Osha & Mae’s childhood).
Sol and qimir alone are the only good parts of this show
since they are the co-protagonist and the main villain, that's actually A LOT
Torbin was a decent highlight, apart from that it was really garbage
I liked Vernestra and the now-dead Jedi
@@metaltera86 Dafne Keen’s character was actually pretty interesting
Qimir in particular. If season 2 is focused in him, I'm all for it. A genuinely good antagonist.
2:33 I haven’t heard a lightsaber lock sound so raw and visceral before. That was awesome.
I think it's because the cortosis was closing in on the blade
@@blacktalon1607 I love how Sol realized that Qimir was trying to bring the saber closer to his helmet, then turned it off to get away
I will give credit where credit is due that sound fx👌.
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - Anakin Vs Count Duku
That's because lightsabers don't sound like that
I have some mixed feelings about this show, but damn, these saber fights are next level.
The Acolyte is in the middle for me as well. But the lightsaber duels are chef's kiss.
You serious :D its like when my drunk mates try to fence :D
It's FINALLY some "decent" saber-dueling, which hasn't really happened for the entire Disney reign. Doesn't compare to Anakin and Obi-Wans in the slightest though, because the stuff they pulled off in the prequels they had to slow down the footage of because they were just too good.
They literally randomly swings sabers wdym next level xd
@@janmatula9803 You're entitled to your opinion, but if you think that is what "random swinging" looks like, I don't even know how to respond. Your brain is just working differently from mine.
I don't care what anybody else says, that was some of the best lightsaber choreography since revenge of the Sith. That was fun to watch
Honestly, it’s very hard to disagree with that statement. Even people who dislike the Acolyte will probably admit the Lightsaber duels were excellent.
@@jennyc7543wouldn't say it's excellent. Its alright.
@@jennyc7543 It's not excellent but it's the best Disney has done to this point
It’s definitely felt like a FIGHT!
Definitely some wonky parts though, but I don’t think anyone would say it’s a bad lightsaber battle.
I enjoyed this.
They need to do more battle like this, clean up some of the movement, and their golden.
@@N01activist I mean I didn't give a fuck about any character but choreography was nice Ig
I think what makes the acolyte lightsaber fights feel special and intense is how deadly they feel. They’re extremely fast paced and it actually feels like they’re trying to kill each other, rather than just hit each others swords. Yet despite all that, they still have all the flourish that the prequels do. It also helps that the acolyte has re-established lightsabers as extremely deadly
It's a nice balance but at 2:18, anyone who doesn't suck at sword(or lightsaber fighting) would easily be able to do Qimir when he does his silly back exposing jump twirl, but it's nice to only see it about once the entire fight when the prequels did it all the time(at least they were fast) and it seemed most other Disney duels involved the fighters trying to expose their backs as much as possible.
@@nickm1242 true that, yeah there were a few moments during episode 5 that you could argue one of the Jedi surrounding qimir could’ve got him in the back but they’re easy to miss and overall the fights were really good
Everything about this statement makes it seem like you didn't watch carefully. There were SOOO many issues in the fight in episode 5. In fact, literally in opposition to your statement, there were several instances where they attacked the lightsaber and not the person. There were not AS many blunders in this last fight, but it still had issues.
@@chocofro3 you didnt read my comment carefully obv i said there were a few moments where the choreography wasnt perfect but it was fast enough and overall good enough for those moments to not distract
Good points. There trying to show maneuvers and not really repeating the same actions.
I also like how a light saber stab can now put you down for good.
it was really sad to see sol falling, he really trusted what he did, he did it for love and had a brutal end... f sol
Agreed. He was the highlight. I really like he didn't pull I was wrong last minute. He stuck to his guns and truly believed he was doing the right thing. To him, Osha was more than a Padawan but a daughter.
He didn't hate her for choking him. In a way he felt free, his conscience was clear and excepte his end.
IF and that's a big IF, they make a season 2 I would love to see flashbacks to Sol and Osha's time as Master and Apprentice.
@@darkvortex2410 to him, Osha was more than someone else's daughter. She was the girl whose family he annihilated. Wiped her people from the pages of history because of fear. His redemption was real but Vernestra had it right. Noble intentions can't justify genocide. That's what it was. Coven dead, Jedi team dead. All to protect someone else's daughter from "the threat that never was". Sol was awesomely flawed. Awesome character.
Lee jung-jae is so good. 😢 RIP Sol..
Qimir's fighting abilities are actually more impressive when you realise the mask he wears leaves him almost completely blind.
Theoretically. The blind swordsman.
@@anthonymorris4211 Funny you said that because Manny Jacinto voiced Kenshi in Mortal Kombat Legends : Snow Blind
He is blind under that cortosis helmet he’s more powerful then anyone actually realizes

"Your eyes can deceive you - DON'T TRUST THEM"
The Force grants you a kind of "second sight".
Sol showed complete mastery of the force and lightsaber, what a shame he died. He and his padawan were high caliber jedi. I would say Sol is easily on the caliber of Windu at this point.
I would say not quite as strong as Windu but I think he’s a little stronger than say Obi Wan. I would say Venestra is Windu level. In an interview. The writer said she was in the same power tier as Yoda.
@@Jurassiccanonking Obi Wan defeated Maul, Anakin and Grievous. He's not on Obi Wan's level.

Lee Jung-Jae (Sol) was the GOAT.
I liked the show, but didn't care much for Mae/Osha and their acting. But if they don't get this choreography for all future saber fights, they're throwing away something great.
Say what you want about this show, but the lightsaber duels are the best we’ve had since the prequels (not including animation shows)
I totally agree, ahsoka have good light saber duels too tho

@@joelmanning249 Qimir was better than him. But yeah, Sol was good too.
They did Sol dirty
They did Star Wars altogether dirty. Since when are jedi masters shown to be consistently vindictive and deceitful?
My reaction was: how could she disgrace a Jedi master without even consulting the Jedi council first? She only informed Yoda AFTER reporting to the republic, does she even have the right to do so? And all of these... only for a senate bill? That's very un-Jedi. Compared to her the Sith ain't that bad.
@@hexPixelStarships Just look at Clone Wars. Jedi were always like this. They new about the chips, they knew that Dooku made the clone army, but they didn't say anything to the Senate because of fear and arrogance
@chuckech33se I mean look at the clone wars man. Jedi weren't always goody two shoes. They made some terrible choices. Plus if the senate knew that a rogue jedi was on the loose instead of being dead(Sol gets blamed), they would try to put the clamps on the Order

Sol learned from his previous fight against Qimir...the fight scenes are amazing...I want this on season 2 of Asoka
Qimir is one of my fav siths. He is a total BA
The show had a good premise: 4 Jedis sent to a planet to discover a disturbance in the force, found a Coven of witches using it to create life, but in the shadows, Darth Plagueis and his sith apprentice lurks. A series of unfortunate events happened resulting in the 2 children created by the force taking on different paths in their life. The jedi in charge at that time was an inept by the book green female b**** who can't tell right from wrong. Kids created by the force grows up and decides to find out the truth how the whole coven of witches died and dish out revenge against the Jedis. In the end the bad kid becomes good and has her memory wiped and the good kid gets corrupted and became a sith apprentice...hmm 180 million budget to screw this up

@@mustardeater5162 The only message he's getting at is to show his unbridled hatred for anything and everything related to Acolyte, even to people who like it.
Trying to clear up some confusion here:
Qimir's biggest goal atm is to acquire an acolyte; one who can kill a Jedi without a weapon. Beating Sol by himself would defeat the purpose here; that deed would have to be done by either Mae or Osha.
Sol: "I will destroy you if I must."
Qimir: "Not if she gets you first."
If anything, he might just be stalling for time until either of the twins can get to where they are. Qimir only stopped fighting because even if he couldn't overpower Sol, at least he could give him one last daring taunt to make him break the Jedi code, which is *attacking the opponent while they're unarmed* , therefore further bruising Sol's dignity and moral conscience in the process.
That's why we don't see any hint of fear from Qimir whenever Sol had a very open chance to straight up kill him. Either way, it's the Stranger who will get his last laugh.
That's how I see it. 🤷🏻♀️
Qimir, the man that you are. That was totally awesome 👌

what an amazing duel. the coreography is probably better coreography than the episode 5 fight

If this show was only about Sol and Qimir hunting down each other with this battle as the climax it could've been a good show.
It's ironic how the writers tried to make a "plural" story, with females lead , but in the end, the only interesting characters in the series are Sol and Qimir
since they are the co-protagonist and the main villain, that's actually A LOT
@@ultronemperor3525 That's not the point. In the "gayest" Star Wars, with females lead and non-straight characters, two men being the only interesting characters is A LOT, dont you think? Yep yep. The fights are what kept me watching this
Seriously the fight scenes were the show and the rest I could give two shits about, people chastised the lesbo creation of the twins but forget that Plag and Sid basically tried to do the same thing when the manipulated the force to create the one…. Also the show is entirely fiction so who cares what gender they are or who they affiliate with!
It's possible that since Darth Plagueis appeared in the show, the twins were actually his experiment.
There's a rumor that the creators actually wanted a Sith succession story originally but Lucasfilm didn't agree to it because it wasn't mainstream enough
I kinda was vibin the whole matrix style slow mo action scenes
Sol and Qimir were the two best written and performed characters of this show and this fight scene, although theres some issues, was largely excellent.
The piece i disliked the most was, when Sol destroyed Qimirs lightsaber, whyd bro just give up? Wasnt he the one demanding his acolyte to kill a jedi with no weapon? (Same thing with him running from vernestra... "If so powerful you are.. why leave?")
The theme was decent and on brand with the Sith, specifically palpatine, who mastered every lightsaber form, and made his sabers decked out with electrum to troll the jedi, but barely used them cause theyre a "jedi's weapon" - not a sith, or at least not the sith at the height of his reign / the height of the rule of 2 before he defeated the jedi.
And then they just, sorta forgot about that..
Haven’t seen the show but looks like Disney finally remembered what Lightsabers were
Sol is the best character hands down
That sigh has no name dude
The story may not have been good but these lightsaber fights I liked a lot especially this one. I also thought it was cool how Qimir pulled out a short lightsaber almost like a dagger.

You should do a breakdown on the type of the lightsaber styles that both Sith Qimir and Jedi Knight Sol.
Sol is using form 6 imo.
In the beginning Sol’s 2 hand stance and simple slashing & blocking movements looks like form 1 shii-cho or his own specialized version of it.
Qimir might be using form 6 Niman or form 7 Juyo due to how erratic and unpredictable he fights.
@@LucianPosey qimir is definitely using form 7. He’s hella vulnerable to force attacks but the sensory deprivation helmet probably helps him lock in with the Dark Side

The struggle I had with this show is: was it a great show? No. Was it as bad as so many of the fans have said? Also, no. I think it was just too condensed. The 8 episode format may have worked in the boardroom; but there was too much missing narrative content that could have been fleshed out with a longer series. The lightsaber fights though? Pure-class
TOO CONDENSED? This show is laboriously long at times. If anything they needed to trim it the fuck down. That’d be a start to fixing it, but the missing narrative content could’ve more than fit into the runtime they gave us. Instead there’s loads of unimportant stuff tossed in where characters walk around accomplishing nothing.
The only good thing about this show, the fights.
Say what you will about the show, but the lightsaber fights are on par with the prequel fights. They were really well-done.
Tbh I’d say they’re better, prequel duels are overrated and a lot of them don’t even look like fights

this guy is a Sith lord, really. a guy who couldn't even beat a run of the meal throw away jedi (no disrespect to sol). the Sith lord, an entity that supposed to be the pinnacle of the dark side. Thought the choreography was good but the writers don't know or don't care about the story they are adding to.
Why do you think sol is a normal jedi. I dislike the show as well but try to find legit criticisms instead of just crying about it
"run of the meal"
Props to Disney that they really nailed the FIlipino Sith lord if there was ever one.. A guy donning a motorcycle helmet in a rain coat looking as if he was about to ride his Suzuki Raider.. aka "the Kamote rider" look.
Lightsabers forms used in this fight:
Sol: Form I Shi-cho
Qimir: (a tricky one) Form V Djem, Form VI Niman in the forest and Form VII Juyo
"nothing was badass. It was just bad or ass..." jeremy
I understand the weird saber lock might have had something to do with the special cortosis helmet and the way Sol held Qimir's forearm, but Qimir has an absolutely clear shot at Sol's face if he just turns out his wrist.
Imagine Kylo Ren Vs Luke with this choreography
Masterpiece! Star Wars is in good hands.
lol
How is Sol this Strong??? I thought the Jedi were extremely weak at lightsaber dueling Sith during this era look at the Khofar Strike team they got wrecked by Qimir and He Didn’t even break a sweat doing so
There are always jedi that are more stronger than others, Just compars windu with the others 3 masters that fighed againts sidius.
Sol is probably one of the strongest jedi masters in his time.
Its bad writing, you show how strong Qimir is in the begining and tired from fighting other Jedi's but in this one both at full power you show Qimir loosing. Althoug I agree its kind the like a tie between both depends on the day but still.
@@ClaudeTrouillotMartellynah, thats not bad writing, well, tecnicly it is but not in the star wars saga, killing nameless jedi is something that every sith already done since the begining of star wars
Nihilus, Vitiate, Sidius, Grievous... even savage opress killed 2 jedi in less than 30 seconds.
The droids in génesis destroyed many jedi.
Jango fet killed a máster jedi with a blaster etc etc etc
The reason why most Jedi are not sword master's is because they live in an age where most opponents use blasters. Sol must be the few Jedi that keeps his skills up even though he does not face lightsaber opponents.
It depends on the Jedi per se. Most Jedi are pretty weak compared to Sith as they are not trained to kill merely subdue. Some Jedi are a lot more stronger however and can master combat but there’s not many of them to be sure.
