@Hollywood6IX glad you like them. There a awesome group. Yes that was Tom Capplleo from the Lost Boys movie. In fact the song Dark All Day by Gunship also has Tom in it and is a tribute to the Lost Boys.
I am so glad you guys did this, Dark All Day and Tech Noir are absolute bangers from Gunship but you got to do the music videos. Thanks for the reaction!
Gunship goes back to about 2015, released "Dark All Day" in 2018, and "Monster in Paradise" is from their new drop on Sept. 29: "Unicorn". It is BURNING, SCALDING FIRE. Not a sleeper on the album. And yes, it WAS Tim Cappello from Lost Boys on sax. He's 70 flippin' years young, and still killin' it.
Awesome reaction, guys. Personally, my fave three songs (and videos) by Gunship are "Fly For Your Life", "When You Grow Up, Your Heart Dies", and "Ghost". Completely different sounds, but each so incredibly rewarding.
If you guys like this kind of music, you have to check out The Midnight! Gunship is a great band, but I’d say The Midnight is probably the preeminent synthwave act going now.
I love synthwave and retrowave, it’s my favorite genre. It has everything. Hard dark stuff, happy miami 80s vibes, cyberpunk, outrun video game music and so on and so forth. Just awesome. All of Gunship’s videos are cool and the music is always sweet. Tech Noir is my favorite video and song from them. It’s got claymation and 80s references by the truck load. There’s also a dude called Carpenter Brut who makes darker synthwave. His song Turbo Killer is awesome and hard as hell.
2:37 It was first released for PC in '91 as Gunship 2000 then the IP was later revived in '96 on PS1 as Gunship 7:32 NO ONE TOLD ME IT WAS TIME TO GET SAXY
Other SynthWave bands you should react to are TimeCop1983, LaBrock, the Midnight, Dance With the Dead, Prizm, NINA and Cannons. Awesome reaction to one of my favorite bands of the last decade🤘🏼
@@DefinitelyNotBenderI like both bands. I was joking about how That's kind of a staple of their sound. Not sure if Gunship did it first. Just going off my own experiences.
@@blakfloyd I actually think the Midnight did get together first. Not entirely sure myself. I like how the Midnight makes that "their thing" and people recognize it. Gunship only uses the Sax in some, but not all, of their songs. I think it would be blasphemy if the Midnight had a song without the Sax. They do it best when it comes to new SynthWave bands.
@@DefinitelyNotBenderThe Midnight has plenty of songs without sax, but in general I’d agree with you. The sax on The Midnight tracks is by the far the best around. Vampires, Days of Thunder, Crystalline, Brooklyn Friday Love, Shadows, Deep Blue, the list goes on.
Went back and rewatched to see y'all's reaction. The first time i was enthralled by the video itself! Your reactions are great! So glad you guys did gunship cause now im becoming a huge fan! This song is on replay in my playlist, check out "when you grow old your heart dies" by gunship.. there's so many more kool songs! Thanks again guys!!!!
Their new album title "unicorn" could not be a more accurate description for this band. They are truly unicorns in this current musical landscape and every new project they share with us is almost guaranteed to be a masterpiece. Musicanship, catchyness, storyline and cinematography and production value are always absolutely up there with the big budget players.
Wow, I love GUNSHIP but hadn't heard this song, just looked it up and apparently the drums feature none other than Dave Lombardo from Slayer!!!! Doesn't look like him in the video, but that's what the song credits in the upcoming album Unicorn say (unless it's a different mix/version).
Gunship is a frontrunner in the retrowave genre, their lead singer has also worked with the brilliant carpenter brut's song widowmaker and in a band called fightstar. monster in paradice was the 1st singe on GS' new album that just dropped. Unicorn is their 3rd album and the crowd in the video was composed entirely of fans. everything gunship does is fire, including their work with John Carpender (the horror icon of Halloween), check out Tech Noir 2
First video I've watched by you guys. Appreciate your personalities and the skit at the start. Will check out more. I found Gunship 4 years ago, and they've become my favorite band. I hope they get big enough to tour the states.
Ya smokey thats the sax player from the lost boys! Lol!!! One of my fav movies, speaking of which you guys should do the song "cry little sister" from the movie lost boys🤓❤️
Future is now. This is Gunship's third Record, between they've been releasing a number of singles directly to UA-cam. I think it's been about 5 years or more since the previous album. Yes, the sax guy is the same one form Lost Boys, he was great on the previous album, and obviously he a go to man now for the band. Also highly recommend DOOM DANCE that dropped the other day from them.
If you like this sound it's a whole genre. New Retro Wave. Gunship are awesome and so is a band called The Midnight. More of either of their stuff will FLOAT your mf GOAT.
You should check out Dark All Day by Gunship
So glad that you introduced us to Gunship cause this was awesome. Thank you much for all your love and support on Patreon!

Dark all Day is still the number one from this band. But DAMN, everything they're releasing is solid gold. LEGENDARY!
That whole album is amazing
Thanks dudes 🖤🤘
Welcome to Gunship gentlemen. Everything they release is fantastic and worth a listen.
I am so glad you guys did this, Dark All Day and Tech Noir are absolute bangers from Gunship but you got to do the music videos. Thanks for the reaction!
Gunship is awesome. Very surprised to see them in your channel and surprised this is the first song.
That was indeed Tim Cappello from The Lost Boys. He features on a few Gunship tracks across their 3 albums.
If you enjoyed this i'd definately recommend Dark All Day by these guys, brilliant song!
That whole Album is FIRE!!

It is Tim from lost Boys
These guys don't have a bad tune.
That is indeed Tim Cappello!
One of my favorites and best new wave retro band
Also on drums is Dave Lombardo, ex-Slayer drummer
Welcome to Gunship... These guys are AMAZING!
Synthwave/Retrowave has entered your soul. Underground art
It is indeed the guy from lost boys, they got a couple of tracks with him in. Tim Capello still going hard, what a guy.
If you guys like this kind of music, you have to check out The Midnight! Gunship is a great band, but I’d say The Midnight is probably the preeminent synthwave act going now.
They did a reaction to The Midnight - Days of Thunder a couple of years ago.

@@darrellmetcalfe3615 yes I definitely agree. I know I missed a good amount of other fantastic bands but I'd still be typing if I made a full list lol
@@DefinitelyNotBender Fair enough lol
I’ll second The Midnight. IMO, they put out the best quality consistently out of all the synthwave acts.
@@alexandercasella4268 I agree. The Midnight is probably the most well put together SynthWave band out there today.
Love gun ship
Gunships discography is worth checking out. Dark all day is tremendous
Gunship is incredible
Sax in a synthwave song? The Midnight's about to put a hit out on these guys lol.
Lol they are just as big as the Midnight.

GUNSHIP ARE AWESOME!! check out CARPENTER BRUT TOO, HURRICANE HAIRSPRAY IS AWESOME
Seconded and thirded!
This is from upcoming album "Unicorn", releasing the 29th of September.

I LOVE the sound. Synthwave is such a Melodic Rock/synth-pop hybrid that is simply catchy as F**K.
Tech Noir - You will enjoy all the 80's movie references
Sounded like the 80s with year 3000 technology
You guys ain't ready for "Doom Dance".. But you might be.
Justa killer track. Gavin Rossdale just makes that damn thing...
Yes! More Gunship!
My life has changed since discovering Gunship and Perturbator. 41 years old and loving it!
Everything Gunship does is perfection

I'll never understand why in the HELL any one of their songs is not in the "top 40". They would go to No. 1 with a BULLET.

The Video to Dark all day goes hard af too. Gunship kicks ass!
If you like synth, check out Carpenter Brut's song Widowmaker, which features the singer from GUNSHIP and has a crazy video

I’ll take a glazed donut and a bottle of anything. To Go!!
Lol 😆 I haven’t seen that video in ages but still remember all the beginning dialogue
Fun fact Tim Cappello the guitarist and saxophone player was Tina Turner's personal saxophone player
The video for "Ghost" alone makes it worth watching, it is BEYOND TRIPPY. The song is pretty trippy too when you know the lyrics...
Gunship: electronic music for distinguished metalheads.
The Saxophonist was also Tina Turner's sax player.
awesome!
Sicksense- Feed Them To The Wolves, please and thank you
Yes that is the List Boys legendary sax man Tim cappello
Lost Boys*
Yeah, that's the OG sexy sax man Tim Cappello.
Frankenstein is a scientist, Frankensteins monster, is the monster
That was pretty cool 😎
This is new, they are releasing a new album on September 29.
Alot of Blade Runner vibes.
YOOOO GUNSHIP!
Dark all Day is sooo good
Wait till you hear their newest drop Doom Dance it slaps so hard it’s a war crime
Doom Dance also features Gavin Rossdale from Bush AND Carpenter Brut. Mother of God, help me...what did I do to deserve hearing that?

The Sax is always boss.
You should check Ghost by them and Power Glove.
